  1. dipstick is deffinatly tricky getting out, i spin it 90 degrees and get middle finger in the loop while resting other fingers on the engine cover, and pull
  2. what does it mean when the globe symbol is red, should it be green or white when online
  3. its the coil packs and once one goes the others follow, my 2011 vrs had same issue, one failed , then another went months later so did them all and mpg returned to normal
  4. is this the fix for missing tmc then
  5. exactly the same with mine, noise decreases when clutch depressed at idle
  6. good shout on A&A motors , i have used them before, the prices at dm keith are well expensive, i will check wallis as well
  7. the car is tricky to get in first gear on occasions, also at low revs excessive vibration and noise (cannot pinpoint exact location of noise) and hardly any travel on clutch pedal when depressed. skoda saying possible clutch wear and flywheel replacement required , possible cost around £1800-2000, seems a bit pricey is this about right
  8. mines not worked for 5 years ,skoda blamed it on cheap supermarket screen wash, which rubbish as i use good quality screen wash
  9. my mark lll 16 plate with 67k manual is starting to make the same noise, skoda hull had it for a day but were guessing that it could be possible flywheel issue, nothing resolved yet just to keep an eye on it,
  10. I had coolant loss problem with no visible leak, had the cambelt and pump changed early (would of needed doing march 2021 latest), the car used to make a whining noise on start up,this has has resolved the coolant loss and noise but have still have some debris in expansion tank
  11. you will have heat damage see the above , answer from rich_84
  12. this exact thing happened to me yesterday on my diesel superb, smoke from around back of the engine bay, horrible smell, just had cambelt and water pump replaced 2 days before from dm keith
