  1. I actually nicked the image from somewhere on TDIclub and i messed around with it to fit the avatar. I'll see if i can find it again...
  2. and how is the Octy, Alex? Or have I missed the thread all about it?
  3. Which is basically the stance of the dealer I spoke to.
  4. ...or adapted specially for Fabia diesel owners!
  5. Welcome to Briskoda! It really depends on the dealer and how mod friendly they are. Some are, some arent etc. Officially (and probably according to Skoda UK) the warranty would be voided. Maybe your dealer is prepared to turn a blind eye to the mod, but i doubt you'd get something in writing from them. (edited - Geoff got there first, but welcome anyway!)
  6. Most of the comments I get from people are along the lines of "nice car, shame about the badge" or "its not that bad actually is it" or even "i've heard Skodas are quite good cars these days" If they are lucky enough to get a lift, maybe "oh, its a bit quick isnt it?"
  7. Front was way too low. Whats the part number you have ordered? Mine are no. 29409-1 (103-248441)
  8. Jason, Just dug out these (admittedly) rough acceleration timings... There were done post Jabba. 30-70, 7.0secs (through gears) 30-50 in 4th 5.4 secs 50-70 in 4th 4.8secs 50-70 in 5th 6.8 secs 80-100 in 5th 10.5secs 30-100 through gears 20.5secs hope this helps!
  9. Clean looks is the way to go! Also people following have no idea whats under the bonnet!
  10. Robert, I have some H&R 30mm springs for the Fabia if your'e interested. Got them for my TDi but werent suitable!
  11. Its so easy to hit that button twice!
  12. Jason, maybe a 1.9 SDi badge?! I like the clean lines of the complete de-badge on mine. Also experimented with the green badge from the Lupo 3l as it matched the Skoda badge and the red one like the one on the engine cover.
  13. How come I seem to be the only one with points - what happened to the one in five theory?? :( Now wheres that other Furby TDi owner who collected some points recently?
  14. Welcome fiex! Didnt realise they were still producing the mk 1 Golf in South Africa! Its a shame they dont make a GTi version!
  15. Jason theres no reason why you wouldnt get similar outputs to me (145bhp) and as I reckon Mike will have done a fair few PD TDis since, you could well get more. Also bear in mind mine was the first Furby Mike had done and yours will be nicely run in as you've done a few more miles. I would ask Mike for loads of torque and not worry about the final bhp figure (within reason)
  16. Yes it would be nice to see some more pictures of a black furby with Xenons! Personally I wont pay through the nose for the dealer to put fabric protector on the seats etc. I will probably do it myself after I've bought it and it should work out much cheaper. Even the seats on my current fab show up the dirt quickly and I find the best way to clean them is with watered down carpet cleaner and a sponge.
  17. Perfectly clean for nearly nine years until last june when I picked up three for doing 52 in a 40! One of those new van mounted mobile cameras got me!
  18. Welcome fabtdi, Your clutch problem does seem strange and I cant say I've had the same on mine. Best get it checked by the dealer or big K is probably the best one to tackle this one. He (and his lump hammer) pop into briskoda now and again. welcome again.
  19. www.ms-design.com They do quite few bits and pieces for Skoda. Worth a look.
  20. This one looks really good IMO. From MS design. More of a rear skirt than diffuser though..
  21. Considering most other insurers hammer you if you have points - i'm surprised LV dont but hey I'm not complaining! No mileage limits too which makes a refreshing change. Its really annoying when some insurance companies charge significantly more when changing your annual mileage from say 10,000 to 12,000. Good old LV!
  22. Nope! :( Bank keeps tempting me with increased limits every six months!
