Grill surround colour? Diamond silver vRS...
djgritt replied to OctVRSDom's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Silver or leave Chrome - anything else would look tat IMO -
Part number for Surround is earlier in this thread - Stu put it up... As for Deer Impact - Ouch! :(
-
You only need the lot if you intend to keep 2 complete grille assemblies for swapping I recommend a new Skoda Badge is bought with the Surround as they are held in with Melted Pins, so if you cut the blobs off you need to glue it back on On mine, i just bought a surround, as swapping the slats over to/from surrounds only takes 5 mins at the most

Engine Cover Going Walkabout
djgritt replied to Muppit!'s topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
No, the rattly old Diesel is just as loud with them on. If you can tell a difference, you must be a fecking Bat. -
Although not leather, i found the seats in the current Fabia Sport 10x better than the Octavia's seats... And so did SWMBO - who is a complete fussy bugger when it comes to the vRS Seats

Slightly darker coloured VRS alloys...
djgritt replied to Yeti_Man's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I avoid washing my wheels a lot as the 'Brake Dust Grey' finsih suits the Black bodywork... If i intended to keep the car next year, i'd whip them off and give them a going over with the Anthracite Grey i have on my Vauxhall wheels... -
Engine Cover Going Walkabout
djgritt replied to Muppit!'s topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
The rearmost one (when looking, top/rear left) doesnt actually engage on mine - i got fed up of mine coming off every other day, and the inner one splitting, so removed them altogether... No more problems -
vRS PD 170 - engine management software disk & part
djgritt replied to *CJ*'s topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Got it back yesterday with the ECU Flashed - haven't noticed any major differences really, just as mentioned the torque seems to be a little bit more progressive at the lower rev band than before - might have been because i was expecting a difference, ill not be using it for a week from this afternoon, may notice a difference when i start using again next weekend... -

Mine is being re-RR'd on 29th November, and my ECU Flash for 26E6 is happenign on Saturday - so unless someone beats me to it, i'll post the graph in comparison to the last once done... -
They look crap IMO

Thats ****e - no known reason for it happening? ie ****ed off someone on the road? etc BTW - Wasn't me.

Don't like her, but can tolerate her a lot more than Jo cnuting Whiley and Edith ****head Bowman. Saying that, i happily listen to Annie Mac - unless she is with that gob****e Grimshaw....

The potential replacement is a good shout mind... It's the same as i'll be looking at this time next year when my Octavia can finally be rid of

Brand New VRS Engine Mounts snapped
djgritt replied to Sam VRS's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have in two pieces - mine didn't break, but came unbolted from the Engine Block - on vehicle inspection they dismantled the mount Mount is in this area i'm certain this is the mount others are having trouble with -
I couldn't say anything because we don't know anything Nothing about the verdict on the cause Nothing about who paid Nothing about who was deemed at fault All we do know, is that we (my company) didn't pay for it, my Lease Company didn't pay for it and Skoda never admitted any liability And now that other cars seem to be dumping Mounts, it seems that the fault/liability is obvious... Oh, and i hadn't stopped posting, only in this thread :P

Agree 100% Visible Policing and Visible Enforcement is the most effective method of Roads Policing IMO Feck off these GATSOs, SPECS, and Unmarked Cars etc etc, they just get up motorist's backs - especially the stealthy ones Unmarked cars are fully acceptable for 'Covert Ops', but not generic road policing...

I agree, mine fecked itself without any power increases...

I've just had my car back today, but without the ECU Flash - the rest has been carried out though. I have to return once the dealership take delivery of the CD with the update. So a week or two apparently... hmmm
