Samsung Galaxy S23 and Skoda Octavia IV
1. Does the hands free mode work? Can you talk through the stereo? 2. When you say old phone worked with the cable, dod it work with the Swing?

Ah, ok. So what's the problem? Did you try connecting via ceble first? Looking at the image above, I'd say the first one is just bluetooth phone connection, whereas the second one is the Android Auto.

Sorry, which one is the Swing? I've got S23 Ultra and it works on my vRS perfectly. Not sure if it's the Swing multimedia, though...

That's frustrating. Did they give you any timelines?

Will look at uploading a pic tomorrow. I've muted all voice guidance - that's annoying by default... 🤣🤣🤣

In Android Auto, there's in the bottom right corner (in the UK cars) - it's got time and distance to destination, and an X to cancel the routing. Also, you can add a stop, choose an alternati e route, etc.

There's always something with these cars...

I'm not sure about turning the bluetooth on automatically without the cable, unless there's a bluetooth function I'm not aware of... If it's off, it should be off, but don't know what the phone manufacturers came up with. What phone is it? You can always end the route guidance - I think it's an "X" somewhere on the screen. If I remember, I will take a photo next time I drive and post it here.

Climate control Sync, work around.
It was much longer, before they updated the software to 1898, lol... Now it includes: Infotainment reboots randomly and I get park assist error (or something like this, need to take a photo) AC SYNC not kept on after restart ACC occasionally still thinks I'm in Europe, so hits the brakes, when overtaking Some hardware stuff: armrest very hard to be fixed in raised position foggy lights window trim coming off

What do you mean by "stop the navigation" - just cancel the route, or the whole Android Auto? As AGFalco says - if you're connecting the phone via the cable to one of the USB ports in the front, it will automatically turn the bluetooth on.

Virtual Cockpit Updates
I think this is only available to the later models - they've got different and more powerful graphical processors, so they've got more options for their dashboard view. I can't get this view on my vRS as well...

Engine Cover rubber grommets
is this thingy the reason they took the engine covers away, or I'm totally wrong, lol

Climate control Sync, work around.
I'm on 1898 - SYNC does not stay on, after stopping the engine. I'm putting a list with issues together for my local dealer to review and this is one of them, lol

Skoda Octavia IV pictures thread
Ha, no roof rails - interesting! So used with seeing it with the rails, that it kind of looks weird without them.

Aftermarket new wheels
Ah, sorry, my bad. It was the other way around - as you say, MK4 has fatter tyres. Interesting - didn't know MK3 had 15 inch wheels... and the lower winter tyre is also a bit strange....
