Aftermarket new wheels
I think MK3 is on 225/45/18, not 225/40/18... But I agree on the suspension side of things, especially if you have DCC.

Aftermarket new wheels
I've got both 18" and 19" with DCC - not feeling much difference with the comfort. The look is much better with the 19", though...

vRS roof rack for bike/roof box - scratched rails?
I rented a roof box for a week last May. No issues with scratches or any other damage, even though the car wasn't super clean, when they mounted the bars. The bar mounts themselves have a soft rubber-type padding that keeps the paint from getting scratched.

Android Auto new full screen
Looking at the button at the bottom right - does this mean you can change the view into split screen? I personally like it that way, as I can select music/podcasts, while still having the navigation on....

Error: selector lever...
Sorry, did not take note of that, but will see if I can get it from the dealer...

Error: selector lever...
So just an update from me here, if anyone's interested... Picked the car up today, after staying all day yesterday for the gear selector lever mechanism change. They told me it was a big job, and on top of that had the front diff oil change as well. Anyways, drove around a little, not a problem, so fingers crossed.

vRS Owners, cars with a VAQ front diff, a question on the servicing and what you are being told at Skoda Main Dealerships?
I just had mine done by the local dealer... they charged £128.60 for the oil, labour and 2 plugs.

Strange sound from engine
Hm... not sure what it is. Did you talk to a dealer/service? If you rev the engine up a bit, does the frequency change?

Window trim coming off
yikes... have discussed this with the dealer?

Window trim coming off
Hey, guys, I've got an issue with the trim of the rear quarter panel window on the passenger side - it started to come off from the corner near the door. Asked the dealer how this can be fixed and/or replaced - the service manager said the trims are moulded with the windows and come as a single unit, so we have to change the whole window to fix this. 🤨😳 Alternatively, he mentioned (sort of off the record) that I can try gluing it with evo stik. I'm a bit puzzled by all this - anyone had similar experience? 🤔

vRS Engine Cover Recall
Not arguing, but do you think the purpose of the cover is just cosmetic?

vRS Engine Cover Recall
I will ask my local dealer, when I get in there on the 25th for front diff oil change and gear selector lever mechanism replacement...

vRS Engine Cover Recall
Has anybody heard anything about this replacement engine cover? I'll ask the dealer, but wondered if there was any news after Nov 2022...

vRS Owners, cars with a VAQ front diff, a question on the servicing and what you are being told at Skoda Main Dealerships?
Fingers crossed. Someone here posted from NZ, I think, and they had a replacement. I'll chase the dealer like a lion, lol. Anyways, deviating from the VAQ topic....

Error: selector lever...
The gear lever mechanism will be changed under warranty- of course, they have to order it first, so I will be going back in on the 25th. They said I could continue driving, not a problem... 🤔😬 we'll see about that. With regards to the diff oil - they said every two years. Not sure if they said anything about miles, but I'd assume it would've been 20k miles...

vRS Owners, cars with a VAQ front diff, a question on the servicing and what you are being told at Skoda Main Dealerships?
So went in for my first service at just over 15.5 k miles and 21 months old car. I have an issue with the gear selector lever of the DSG, so while the car is in, thought to have it serviced. After I left the car, they called me and said - "oh, it's recommended to change the brake fluid, but that's not covered in your service plan. Here's an invoice for 91 quid. Also, it's recommended to change the oil of the front diff (I only have 1 diff, but hey-ho) every 2 years - £120 (or something, can't remember, but will confirm), but we need to order the oil first, so we'll have to rebook you to come back." I'm like - erm, I booked the car for servicing more than a month ago. Surely you knew it needed oil change of the front diff... They said - well, every car is different, and blah-blah... anyways, so back in on the 25th for the gear lever mechanism change and diff oil change... At least they fixed some of the software issues I had, but took my engine cover away. After asking them if a replacement is coming, the answer was - nope, we just remove the old ones and throw them away... so much fun
