  1. yes same here, spotted my old one has been sold, feel sorry for the poor sod who brought it
  2. it deffo should do, seems maybe yet another issue? So glad ive moved away from the octavia now
  3. no worries, and as far as im aware it does not unless you have a certain optional extra, the reason it would of worked before is because the seat was going back to original saved profile on guess account
  4. unless ignition off and door open you can press and it will move by one press not a long press
  5. gone for the audi q3 and tbh miles better, no issues had so far and its a latest model. Hope you finally get sorted with it all though
  6. Hey guys just a quick one, thanks for the good luck messages….. just to update you guys who still have your octavias skoda uk did contact me today with regards to honest john, told them cars gone and she really dint seem to care and said will not contact me again. But she did start of wanting to know my issues so hopefully you hear from them soon, was a Leeds number
  7. So its fairwell from me guys im over on audi now (order placed) and my octavia has gone because of the danger with this stalling whilst driving and cant risk with other people in the car, truly gutted as its one of the best looking and practical cars i have ever had but the issues are just to much of a joke, these cars should never of been sold until they knew there was no issues, wish u all the best of luck and hope you get your cars sorted soon
  8. So wishful thinking the car is fixed….. today it did the stalling thing again and nearly got rear ended, got rac coming as car is not fit to drive its dangerous, really starting to have enough of these issues now
  9. it already does this, if you update whilst trying to drive it says you have to be stationary and stops doing the update
  10. im wrong my build date was 20.08.2020. i just copied it from my messages to you and realised thats your build date 😂😂
  11. yeah had this many of times its apparently one of the things fixed in the update
  12. hi i believe it was 12.03.2020 and SE L 1.5tsi manual
  13. So got car back today and been told… the big update back in december/january had 5 recalls only 2 got done, 1 in progress and 2 never got done, this corrupted the system, they also found several units with several faults. So skoda sent them an update to download and try and so far not had an issue, start/stop has worked flawlessly and strangely the car seems to drive better? Anyway will keep an eye out if this has fully solved my issues. i phoned my dealer regarding this and he said the update did get done (although the other garage has stated it never according to logs) but last week or week before there was another campaign for start/stop and other things so if its true maybe worth u phoning dealers and seeing if another update for your car
  14. yeah exactly, hopefully we get some where with this
  15. yeah sorry i was the other one who never passed details, email sent so he should now have the 5/5
  16. yes it does seem the newer build cars come without the issues, i dont have a vrs so cant comment but from they guys who have the vrs say they are perfect
  17. Ok so update as i forgot last night… got a call to say they think they may of found the issue (its with a different skoda dealer as was fed up of mine making excuses like these problems dont exist or its the way im driving) so remember that big update in dec/jan… that update was to fix everything im experiencing and was meant to be pushed before the more dangerous things happen like the stalling so… they have checked and when dealers do these updates they leave some kind of files but these files dont exist so this leads to 3 possibilities as we are waiting for skoda to verify if it got done or not 1) my skoda dealer never actaully did the update - this is what they think 2) the tool used for updates apparently they only found out 1-2 months ago you have to use a certain one as other wise the updates dont actually take effect properly so maybe other dealers dont know this yet? 3) it could of been done and for some reason theres just no logs of if if its number 3 they will investigate further but seems ive had more help in 1 day off these guys then i have of my main dealer in 5-6 months. also i asked for the guys with mph/km issue and they said there is meant to be a fix on the way. so once they get a call from skoda to let us know if it got done or not or if they used wrong system to update ill let you guys know as this could potentially fix all our issues!
  18. mines currently in too see all can be reaolved other wise ive said the cars going, sick of all the different issues and its new ones each week, ill be gutted as its a beautiful car and drives lovely - when no issues are about, decided on audi if they come back and say sorry we cant fix it, and im almost sure thats gona be the reply as not been able to fix every month its been in the garage since ive had the car
  19. my reply back i received so thanks to the guys for initially getting on this Many thanks. That's the fourth list of serious complaints received over 2 days. I have now taken up the issue with Skoda UK, asking that the company buys these fault cards back. Rgds, best wishes and stay safe,
  20. Sent my full email this is what issues i sent, im sure theres more but cant remember them all Here is my list: Passenger seat - repaired im december as was squeaking loudly when passenger using seat, they found a defect (seat rail or something) now broke again - skoda said they aware of others and have to make a part to fix this so far been waiting 3 months for this other part. Air bag error comes up on cockpit - also did this for dealers when they had it but no fault stored- infact they said no faults have ever been stored!! Proactive occupant protection system unavailable comes up on cockpit Parking assist error also comes up on cockpit Start/stop error - start stop hardly worked since last error December - was told must be the way iam driving even though u just take out of gear and foot off clutch Sensors slow/delayed - mainly front and also rear sensor comes up that your about to hit something and beeps get out as its an empty road and nothing there Issues when start cold - infotainment stuck and lights dont come on (welcome home and interior lights till ignition pressed) Front assist limited availability comes up on dash No lock/unlock on app Friday 5th - car alarm kept going off whilst driving Depress clutch or something warning comes up and loss of power an car stops until you press clutch, almost as if its been stalled Voice command postcode search does not work and also satnav is terrible to use to find an address Laura always comes up when driving and had to switch her off Heating/clime freezes and it cant be used. Cockpit and side fuel and oil temp flashes on and off
