  1. Interestingly mine is due an inspection service and dsg oil and filter. Up until now I have used my local main dealer who are a family business. I thought I would give a couple of independent specialist garages a try for prices. One hasn't replied with a quote and the other was just a few pounds cheaper than the main dealer. As I trust them it will be going there again. It obviously depends on where you are and how good the service is. I get it MOT't at a local general garage who are brilliant with my old land rover service and repair but not more modern cars.
  2. My Vrs Tdi is due its 5 year belt change and my local dealer Wings quoted Β£500 for the cambelt change and Β£600 for cambelt and waterpump Inc all parts and labour. So what you are being quoted is excessive. Definitely worth shopping around.
  3. It arrived today from AmazonπŸ‘ it so tiny. Will give it a tryout tomorrow.
  4. I am looking to purchase an OBDeleven next gen dongle and wonder if anyone has bought one direct from the manufacturer since 1st Jan. I am concerned about additional charges for Vat and delivery. They say delivery will be slower but can't advise on additional costs. Their prices look favourable compared to Amazon and eBay sources but not if you are landed with unexpected costs.
  5. Heard they were really good but it's a bit far away from us. Once the UK is back to a more normal footing will get it sorted. Looks fantastic though, my wagon is white too so can see roughly how it would look. πŸ‘
  6. Exactly like that, who made it? I had planned on going to K M Exhausts near Boston Lincolnshire who have done work for my son.
  7. Thanks for the info. Idea is to remove the skoda exhaust trims and have either twin tailpipes each side sort of Nissan GTR ish or single oval tailpipes like the Leon Cupra.
  8. I am looking to fit a new stainless exhaust system to my 2016 Vrs Tdi Combi with dual rear outlets and yes I know there are differing opinions on the reason and and aesthetics etc. I want to fit all the heat shields from the Tsi to protect under the offside and where the Y piece is, so made enquiries with my local dealer and the pair of shields with fixings come to about Β£120. Does this seem about right as I have no idea. Does any one know the part numbers? or have a pattern so I can make my own? I tried a couple of breakers but came up blank.
  9. My Vrs didn't store the error but I was lucky enough to have it show up when stationary and my passenger took a photo of it. Car had about 3 months warranty left and the dealer replaced the parts no question. Once it started to show up it gradually got more frequent. If you can't get a photo you could always aquire a copy......
  10. But the front end looks awful IMHO. Will be hanging on to my pre face-lift 2016 combi until there is something else that catches my eye. (Cupra Leon maybe)
  11. Cheers for that did wonder as nobody seemed to reference them anywhere.
  12. Loving the gloss black rims, thinking about something similar on my white wagon probably 19's and keep the std 18's for winter. What do people do about the tyre pressure monitoring senders, I am assuming they are in the std rims? Would I just need to get a second set for the new rims.?
