Adaptive Cruise Control forgets distance memory setting

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Has anyone have an issue with their ACC that it forgets the memory setting for the distance every few weeks? I have it set to remember the last setting (in my case usually the two closest ones) and it resets every few weeks. If it matters my car is a MY18 with personalisation.

Hi, yes I have had the same issue. Happens quite randomly but I can’t identify what the reason for it is. When I check the settings after it has happened the ‘remember last settings’ box is unticked.
Mine is a 2019 2.0 litre L&K estate.
Very annoying !

Has never happened on mine in the last 5+ yrs of ownership.

Mine is MY17.

Same for me.

I wish there was a setting for this in my Superb. Previous car was MIB2.5 and it had the option to remember last distance selected, new one is MIB3 and there is no longer the option to save your last distance, you either have to put up with the middle of five distances (middle one is default), or re-select you desired distance every time you start the car 😠

May be there is way to change the setting with VCDS…

Seems to be an issue with MY18+ cars that have MIB2.5 and driver personalisation

Could well be, as it certainly stays as the same setting on ours too…

Happens on my 2018 as well sometimes. Noticed it after a dealer visit (maybe the diagnostic equipment is resetting things?) but also possibly when the trip computer for long term mpg resets (around 3000 miles?).

could it be related to that?

I've never noted the long term mileage...will keep an eye on it.

Further to my post above today I found the option on the MIB3 to remember the last distance selected.

If you don't want to select the last distance selected you also get the option of selecting a default from very close to very far.

Only taken me 4 months/12k miles to find it - maybe I should have RTFM!
