  1. Team Heko make winter grill covers specifically for the MK3 Fabia along with many other cars (same company that make most model specific wind deflectors) The only issue with these covers, is there is no cutout for the front radar so you would most likely get an error showing up on the tft display saying that front assist is unavailable. This could be solved by cutting out a section of the cover much like @AGFalco has done with his custom ones. 2. Just changing the back box is the cheapest way to upgrade your exhaust. I'm currently building one for less than £50 with a straight through muffler (basically looks like a big resonator) It does take a lot of time to do however, and some knowledge of how to weld. If you head to a garage that modifies cars, there's a good chance they'd be able to sort you out with a back box relatively cheap. An even simpler option is to do a resonator delete and keep the stock muffler. If you don't want to do all that and just buy a pre-made muffler, any designed for the mk2/mk3 fabia, polo 6r/6c should fit fine (they all have the same chassis), but check the images as polo exhausts may have the hanger in a different location.
  3. I use cardiagn all the time when working on my car and a few other project cars I have about, its great until your BT dynamic IP changes to one in a blocked IP range. If anyone does get a cloudflare message saying you're blocked, easiest way to get around it is loading up a vpn and changing your country to somewhere like Germany or something, other than that, it has all the information you would expect to find on erWin.
  4. You can also buy them off amazon with next day prime delivery if you aren't willing to wait a month whilst you wait for a replacement to ship over. Standard H7 clip: https://www.amazon.co.uk/WinPower-Adapter-Retainer-Conversion-Accessories/dp/B01COS4K5Q LED H7 conversion clip: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Adapter-Retainer-Support-Conversion-Accessories/dp/B078MLTYHT I can confirm the LED conversion clips do fit correctly and the standard H7 clips are pretty much identical so they should fit fine.
  5. Nice to see some CAD (Cardboard aided design) in use. I'd recommend having the custom heat shield mount onto all three airbox mounting points to stop it from wobbling about, the mst intake has an arm that reaches out to the mounting point on the right. of the intake manifold.
  6. If its the wastegate actuator which is causing issues, rather than mapping it, why not map it out and use a spring and turbo pressure based wastegate actuator such as this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Touran-Seat-Skoda-K03-099-142-150-1-4TSI-TwinCharged-Turbo-Wastegate-Actuator/192791578704?hash=item2ce3460850:g:wTwAAOSw651cPcE8 Theoretically this would solve the issue of the slow response from the ecu controlled actuator. @FabiaGonzales have you tried asking ADE about this as a possible option instead of having the standard actuator remapped?
  7. I would assume the dealer would quote about £200-250 for a replacement key fob, unless they just replace the internals which would be cheaper. If you have the KESSY option, expect it to be £300+
  8. Interesting, I've never seen this part on MST before so I assume its a new addition to the store which would also explain why no one has been unable to find them until now. Part link here: https://www.mst-performance.com/products/vw-mk708
  9. Assuming you can find the right size v band clamp for the turbo, it should be fairly simple to fabricate a custom downpipe for less than these off the shelf aftermarket units. You would also need the tubing, cat and flex pipe, the tricky bit would probably be the o2 sensor fittings.
  10. Full 2.5 inch all the way is the plan, as for piping, I'll probably buy some straight and pre-bent sections, cut to size and then tig weld them. And adding some v-band clamps also sound like a plan.
  11. I'm thinking of putting a 200 cell magnaflow cat in the same place as the first OEM cat, they cost about £150, as for the resonator and back box, I'm still undecided.
  12. Yeah, I took the rear section off out of curiosity of how loud the Fabia would be straight piped, sounds ok, but it's just deafening and definitely not road legal. I am however planning to build a custom 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust in the next 6-8 months, and might even look into a custom manifold at some point.
  13. I can vouch for the lights being difficult to fit, but once you've got the hang of the first bulb, its much easier. The only major issue is the space around the back of the headlights is really tight when trying to get bulbs in, and the other option of taking the bumper off to remove the light clusters isn't really worth the time and effort. I currently have some LED units fitted, but I'm quite tempted to try some of the higher wattage Osram bulbs.
  14. Going to jump on the update train, any updates out for this @pab567?
  15. Do Briskoda members get a club discount or something along those lines?
  16. I'd recommend Brentacre for modified insurance if you're in the UK. Most insurance companies rub their hands together when they hear you have mods and use it as a way to raid your bank account. Adrian flux actually quoted double that of Brentacre, my insurance went up massively because an Audi rear ended me nearly 10 months ago but their quote was among some of the cheapest policies available without a black box. They also base their premiums on power, so you can do pretty much anything to your car without premiums increasing, unless you do some power mods.
  17. The cone filter won't make much of a difference other than maybe 1-2 bhp, this was proven by mighty car mods. The main effect that a cone filter has is induction noises. Considering a tune and dyno session usually costs about £400, that's quite a bit just for a 20-30bhp increase in my opinion. This is why I'm waiting until I've fitted the 1.4tsi turbo which has been sat in a box for 4 months.
  18. Went and bought a few more bits for my car, including a Forge BOV and an unbranded silicone pipe to go along with it. (I did also buy a HKS style sequential BOV but it didn't fit so I'm sticking with the Forge BOV for now) I also bought an engine cover for £20 off ali express, it was supposed to have a Skoda logo, but came with a VW logo so as a work around I used my spare tailgate emblem to cover that up (I ended up going for all black emblems on the exterior a while ago as the colored ones i bought have a slightly different shade of red which just didn't look right) As the spare emblem was black and red, I wrapped the TSI text with some spare red vinyl tape and cut it to shape to match. The next problem I had was the engine cover not fitting as 2 of the mounting points were supposed to mount to the OEM intake pipe. The work around for this was taking some galvanized steel, cutting and bending it to size and mounting it using a a screw on the engine, in this case it was one that holds in one of the ignition coils. Overall, the engine bay is looking pretty good now. Maybe the Forge silicone pipe kit in red should be the next purchase for the engine bay...
  19. You might want to bring some ear muffs if you do that... loud would be an understatement.
  20. Ah ok, I thought you were referring to a replacement pedals kind of pedal box like the sort you would typically get from demon tweaks.
  21. Which pedal box did you end up going for?
  22. Just a wild thought, is it possible that the ecu is getting stack overflow and sending the wrong value to the throttle beyond a certain point? Maybe there's a safety mechanism which is putting the engine in some form of limp mode beyond a certain point?
  23. In which case, it's definitely the newer EA211 1.4TSI in the R5. Though it would have made more sense to use the 150bhp version of that engine imo, but hey, that's what mods are for right? Main reason I haven't been a fan of the twincharged 1.4 is after one of my family members had a £2k repair bill in 2014
  24. Its a shame skoda didn't make a MK3 Fabia VRS, though it would probably be another DSG petrol instead of a 6 speed. Was the throttle issue happening on those power runs you posted yesterday or just in the safe 175bhp tune?
  25. Ah, thanks for enlightening me, isn't the 1.4tsi in the R5 edition the EA211 turbocharged one rather than the twin charged?
