Yeah thought that was a bit steep .they ordered from skoda and reprogrammed .take your point about old key resurfacing though highly unlikely ( fingers crossed )π€π

I bought my car with only one key. So decided to get a spare. Not just the key but the whole fob from timpsons ( not sure if they are UK wide ) Β£220 they even changed the battery in the original fob for free

That's the one thing I like about the vrs ( especially the mk 1 ) no outrageous spoilers etc etc can look like bog standard and not atract any attention

Happy birthday π my vrs has also just turned 10 with 57k miles everything ok so far ( fingers crossed ) I agree with you on the Yaris ( but would have one in a heartbeat )

Mk2 VRS upper honeycomb grill
For me it's the Gap. The original grill has a small Gap the pictures from AMD87 look like you could get your fingers in the Gap. Mabby if the honeycomb part was forward more flush with the badge .Suppose it's down to personal taste in the end π

Interior lighting
illuminating the number plate is good. but the ones i have seen seem to shine the bright light out the way and can be distracting.on the other hand the standard number plate lights don't illuminate the plate enough imo

Sorry guys I'm getting a bit confused here π€ͺ ( which isn't hard to do ) Im going to change oil once a year regardless of miles driven/ usage of car .11 plate fabia vrs so what is being recommend is 5 w40 vw502 ( the car only gets used at the weekend )

The badges are very easy to swap over as for the paint if you are just touching up or small repairs get your Paint code and try paints 4 u recently used them and they matched my Skoda Rallye green perfectly

Car key won't open car remotely
I recently had to get a new key as when bought the car it came with only one key went to timpson and they politely relieved of Β£220 π managed to get them to replace the battery in the key i had for free

Quick update took out both DRLS no sign of any cracks/ splits . the fogging has disappeared also.all is good cheers for the replys π

Only noticed it after an hour drive so I would say no it only seems to be the bottom half on both sides

Cheers will have a dry run to see if there is any cracks/splits in the hope of an easy repair
