exhaust system
My 110 2.0 tdi is now 10 years old and still running the original exhaust system, never had any dpf issues etc. Now I'm beginning to wonder how much longer before I need to look at replacements. Has anyone had to do this recently? just trying to get an idea of costs and if 10yrs on an oem system is nothing unusual. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this matter

Flaky "iPod" USB socket
Might be an idea to look around your local FB pages, it shouldn't be out of the realms of asking if a local computer/mobile phone repairer could take a look at it. after all it probably just needs a replacement socket soldering in place. If that's not yours in the picture it's just a matter of 2 screws by the look of it, if not then here's how used one on ebay for £12

Flaky "iPod" USB socket
Before taking anything apart, have you checked for fluff/debris in the USB socket and the cable end? It doesn't take much to cause an unstable connection, a pin or paperclip end should do the job, i use a straw to blow anything I dislodge out, worth a try first

Yeti 2016 Radio / Clock & Touchscreen Fault.
Its an easy DIY job, you just need a good set of Torx screwdrivers and some time, took me about 40 mins. be mindful you dont dislodge the sd card readers accidently. bit of a sod to have to dissemble it again to re-seat them. Easy home smart link activation
I watched the video several times to be sure and buying the obd reader will have uses further on when the orange warnings pop up next Software installation ran well, make sure your engine is running to ensure stable power (battery power drops can cause it to crash) as to use, I run Waze for navigation and an app called Musicolet to play downloaded or ripped music through the speakers, this app is compatible with Android auto and I don't want to pay Spotify to listen to music I own

Digital Clock and Dashboard Clock
That i cant answer as the firmware i used is 02xx, with yours running 06xx its unlikely to work as it would be a downgrade. Clearly the creator of this firmware has coding ability and has edited out the 0628/0000 issue to create the upgrade from 0253

Digital Clock and Dashboard Clock
I fixed mine, here's how It works if you have a Technisat based unit only, check your software train by pressing and holding the menu until you see the info (it will be at the top of the screen and if it doesn't end in T then this is not for you) use this Firmware link and sign in with user name and password as guest. The site can be a bit slow at times. you should see this and you want the file MST2_EU_SK_PQ_P0255T 5FPQSW255 You need an SD card formatted to FAT32 and extract the file to this. This YouTube video (how to update firmware) explains the process clearly

Easy home smart link activation
Googling recently re smart link activation and I found a recent YouTube video which is clear and easy to follow and after following the instructions, it worked. I have android auto and apple car play installed successfully Smart link activation you just need a cheap OBD2 dongle from ebay, I used this one and downloaded an app from the play store that is mentioned in the video, took about half an hour to do Save Reply Quote

Digital Clock and Dashboard Clock
I did notice something to day whilst sat in the car, engine off but key in the ignition. The MIB2 time was at 12.00 but displayed the minutes as time passed until I started the car then it reset itself to 12.00. strange

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Can You update from Firmware x2xx to Firmware x3xx? If so can someone share the firmware with me please

Digital Clock and Dashboard Clock
Ross TechIt seems to be becoming a common problem on the Amundsen 2, mine does the same and my web searches indicate there isn't a fix, yet. It seems to be common across the VAG range using Mib 2 units, something to do with software and Skoda can't be bothered with a patch as the vehicle is 8 years out of production Ross Tech

Amundsen screen locking
I'd say the digitizer from past experience, random radio channel changes and self dialing calls also pop up, more so when its cold I found when mine died. Its a cheap DIY fix in about an hour with a set of Torx screwdrivers and a new digitiser from ebay. https://ebay.us/m/xD9PVC this video is for an infotainment unit with a CD player but the process is the same, just make sure everything is seated correctly, I accidentally dislodged one of the SD card readers and had to disassemble it all again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZAVyxZF8IM&t=3s

Bluetooth issues
I'm not saying it is for certain but it is a possibility even thought the dealer said he replaced it, most of these are chinese and there's no certainty on quality. i did mine and as in the video, overlaid the new one over the faulty one. I cut the connector off the faulty one and it took two tries to get it right, no problems in the 2 years since I did it

Bluetooth issues
Are you sure its a Bolero unit? it looks like my Amundsen mib2 (does it have x2 SD card slots?) Your symptoms sound like the digitizer is dying as that causes all sorts of random things to happen, especially when its cold, random calls, changing radio stations and listened to music. its a cheap repair using a new digitizer off e-bay and a video on you tube, takes about an hour to do yourself, just need a set of Torx screwdrivers and a bit of patience eBay UKSKODA YETI 2015-19 MIB2 HEAD UNIT SAT NAV TOUCH SCREEN DI...Compatible with SKODA YETI 2015-19 MIB2 5L0035200B.

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Hi Can any one advise on the latest stable firmware for my Amundsen mib 2 please I haven't updated since end of 2022, maps I'm currently downloading

Amundsen screen
The trick here is not to try and remove the damaged digitizer but to disconnect it, cut off the ribbon cable and overlay with the new ebay one and reconnect. I did mine a couple of years ago and its still working fine. Cheaper than buying a screen module or an extrons although that does give you car play etc

Unresponsive/'haywire' infotainment touchscreen
Apart from Torx screwdrivers, what other tools did you use?

Unresponsive/'haywire' infotainment touchscreen
I'm assuming you did the new digitiser over old route, are you satisfied with the outcome, does it all work as it should do? might give it a go if it worked well for you

Amundsen 2016 - Gets stuck and become non responsive
Looking in ebay as you do for an alternative for my Amundsen Mib 2 and found this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384454830977?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=SlmY02NmQbK&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY this of course led to how to fit and I came across this on youtube Any thoughts on this or actually done it. For £25 or so it might be worth a try
