  1. Some manufacturers fit an upgraded radiator and oil cooler for the gearbox when a towbar is factory fitted, to allow the vehicle to happily stay inside operating parameters while towing at full capacity. If you wanted to be sure, you can upgrade the oil cooler quite easily. One of my cars had an oil cooler issue that damaged the gearbox under warranty (Known fault). When the new box was fitted i removed the genuine cooler and fitted an upgraded Mocal unit to avoid the issue happening again. The engine temp you can keep an eye on from the instrument panel as usual and the fans should keep it within tolerance. Ive fitted a towbar to my own car, which is 4x4 and have not upgraded any of the other systems, and i don't intend to either.
  2. Yes!!! Thats the PS5 sorted now as well. Live on Amazon and Argos as of 8am this morning.
  3. I use a Rupes nano to polish wash marks out of black trim, normally pillars or spoilers, grills etc. It's a nightmare to try and keep though, even with the best of wash mitts and using a dryer instead of a drying towel. You could try coating it with something like Poorboys black hole to treat it and fill at the same time.
  4. I had a LWB 3.2DID shogun. One of the best 4x4 vehicles I've had in any condition you could throw at it. Everything fitted in it, and it was comfortable on longer runs as well. You'll pick up a 2007 onwards facelift for very reasonable money. Most of them had a recall for timing chain tensioner failure, so make sure its been done if you look at one. I'd do that and keep the beemer, before i dropped good money on a Jeep that'll haemorrhage money in the 12 months after purchase. In saying that, if you like the Jeep, try the last of the old shape GLE Mercedes, as up to recently, thats what the jeep Cherokee was.
  5. You could try something simple like a resonator delete first to see how that goes. May give you enough more audible noise for now
  6. I think from memory Revo do a BBK to fit the Superb. I think they use Alcon bits for a lot of their upgrades.
  7. Thanks Tim1631, Kinda my thoughts to be honest. Always something thats only released on one or the other thats well worth playing, although i do favour the Xbox, purely due to the controller being more comfortable to hold. Hopefully a second faze of PS5's will be released, and i can get one of those. I see a PS5 sold on the bay of evil yesterday for £51,100 after 17 bids. Not sure the winning bidder will pay up mind you.
  8. YES!!!!!!!! One down, one to go.
  9. Here's hoping i have better luck with an X-Box in the morning.
  10. The fact that they can’t even hear the noise at all doesn’t give me much faith in them having checked very much at all. diagnosing, listening to sound bites is not an exact science unfortunately. Listening to all your clips, they all sound like a top mount, except one! Which sounds nothing like a top mount, but could be the recording sound. Sorry. Yes, the top mount will sound like a dull rumble leading to a rattle noise as it gets worse. the inner tie rod will knock if you jack the wheel up and check for play by rocking the wheel as it would move when turning. All I would do if the vehicle was in front of me is narrow down the location. Check all fittings in that area. Check the bushes, joints and connecting arms. Check the caliper retaining clip to rule out pad hop, or where new pads fitted, check if too loose a fit. Check the shock and spring for breaks or leaks. Check for play in the hub. Check for grinding or knock in the top mount theres nothing magical about it. It’s annoying as **** most of the time. Can be quite time consuming as well going through everything and then doing it again until you get play or hear the noise.
  11. Is there any play from the inner tie rod arm on the steering rack. A lot of places just check the vertical movement in the track rod end and not the inner rod itself. If both sides are solid, I still think it’s the top mount that your hearing on the lock to lock video you posted.
  12. Start on the lowest bush with Wd40 or similar and see if it changes the noise as you work your way up them, or use a bar to check for play. Just be careful of the rubber boots. If you think it’s brakes, put a pull bar or similar on the brake pedal and use the seat to hold it against the pedal to apply pressure to brakes and then try the wheel again
  13. Top mount will be more of a rumbling noise than a knock, knock type noise. Stick your hand at the top of the strut in the engine bay and get someone to turn the steering from side to side. Test both sides and see if you can get a ruff feeling on the side that’s making the noise. If you can jack the car up, you can do the same thing under the wheel arch at top of strut. Watch your fingers. sometimes shows as a slight stiffness in the steering as well. If a half decent tech hears the noise they will recognise the sound. otherwise it’s a bar to check for play in any of the bushes/arms and drop links and hub bearings etc. you can check the engine bay and remove the wheel arch liner as well incase an air con pipe or something similar has jumped a clip and is knocking on trim. If you can get help to get a cleaner sound bite recorded it may help, but I’d still be checking the top mount first.
  14. Does this noise sound like it’s coming from around the top of the shock area or lower down. I ask as it’s hard to make out on my phone, but would remind me of a top strut mount failing.
  15. I went to a dedicated running store and tried basically every trainer they had in stock and ended up with a pair of Adidas Ultra Boost as well. Fantastic trainer. I use mine on the treadmill and even bought another pair for day to day use.
  16. I have this vision in my head of what I’d do with that tyre. Right, that’s me off out to my self help anger management group.
  17. Typical. Take the Senna for a run and it starts raining. Still trying to get a pre order. 🙁
  18. I still don't have one. Just tried Very, but by the time i got to the payment screen they were out of stock again. I'm starting to prefer X Box i think. I have a stock informer running, so ill get one at some stage. Maybe!! Probably not!!
  19. Its a good bit of fun and my older daughter loves playing on it as well. We added the handbrake just before lockdown to play the WRC's. So now we are way better at "Left over crest, Straight, Through hedge"
  20. Well, I mean, That kinda goes without saying!! Nothing wrong with a bit of practice on Forza motorsport or Assetto Corsa. Getting beaten by a small child in a KTM X-Bow around the Nordschleife would just be embarrassing.
  21. Swings and roundabouts. Some children play games pretending to drive cars and some adults drive cars and pretend to be children!! Built this for my 9yr old.
  22. If i actually had one i probably could. lol.
  23. Thanks. I sat up all night waiting on the pre orders going live, refreshing my screen like some sort of loon. Put one in my basket and the site crashed after the payment screen, so i put it through again, at which point it froze again and then after a while told me the item in my basket id just paid for twice was out of stock. So after sitting up all night waiting, I'm now showing £900 down in pending transactions and still no console. Good Times!!
  24. Looks like I'm going to have to try Argos once they go live tomorrow.
