Correct oil type
Never topped it up since I got the car. Will look into getting some 0w20 to top it up until the service. Just got to find somewhere that sells it.

Correct oil type
My car is on a fixed service interval, first service booked for end of October It is almost a year old now and like I said, it was on yesterday and I checked it to find it at the bottom of the dipstick, I just want to ensure I put the correct oil in. Looking on the Halfords website, it states 5w40 for my registration, just not seen anyone else mention 5w40 oil in any other posts on this site.

Correct oil type
Hi, My 70 plate 1.5 petrol had the check oil level warning come on yesterday, not on today but the oil is at the bottom of the dipstick. looking at other posts for oil type, 5w30 seems to be what people use, but after a call to the dealer to check, they said 5w40. Anyone else been told to use that oil. I only need to add a small amount as it is on a fixed service and was already booked in for the end of October so the oil should be replaced then.

album image size and Virtual cockpit display
Hi Wondered if anyone knew the best size to have album cover images so they display on the virtual cockpit. All mine are under 500x500 and will display on the infotainment screen but only some will display in the VC. I have a MIB3 unit. Bill

Car thinks it is driving on the right hand, not left hand side of the road in the UK
No solution yet. I have a friend who has a VW Golf and he has the same software issues with his car. All I can say is if I stop turn off and restart the car then it was ok again but it has not happened for a while now so maybe one of the updates it has recieved has fixed it or the bug is so random it has just not appeared recently.

Radio logo on a 2021 Kodiaq
You can't update radio logos on newer model cars, you have to hope the radio station sends the logo out themselves. Same as you can't manually update any software on newer model cars with the usb c ports unlike cars with the sd slot.

Help with SOS call function warning
Mine went in to the dealers to have the sos fix, 3 days later I got the car back with them saying the car would not accept the new software so they are waiting for Skoda to advise what to do.

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
All our slip roads are on the left so usually people will have turned of the ACC when they are coming off the motorway unless the inside lane turns into the slip road like my junction. Not sure you can turn it off, just have to learn to live with it unfortunately

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
The slowing when passing a car to your r/h side is to stop you undertaking with ACC active, all I do is blip the throttle and it ignores the cars. I have to do that when coming off the motorway as the slip road is a long one and cars are aways in the lane to my right

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
You can turn off the option for the ACC to automatically set the speed acording to the speed signs it sees. It will still slow the car down to match a car in front and speed up to the speed you set when it is clear but won't drop the speed when it thinks the speed limit has changed. I have turned it off and it is much better I think

Light settings - travel mode
It should be to l/h if you drive on the left. It is a known bug where it will sometimes say it has changed to the other setting. Usually when you turn the car off and on again it sorts itself out. Just one of the many software bugs in the car.

Virtual cockpit?
I have the VC and am glad I added it as an extra. I like having the map in the dash, just wish you could get google maps to display there. Also we like that each of us like to use a different dash display and when you choose your user profile the car changes the dash to your choice. Worth the money in my opinion.

Radio logo
You can’t on later cars with only USB C ports. You are reliant on the radio stations transmitting the logo, which I have found are not many.

New Kodiaq Sportline - couple of issues.
Mine does this and have never been able to stop it.

Rear vent covers
I was thinking the same

Rear vent covers
If passengers in the back say anything about lack of heat or cold air, I can easily take them off. Anyway, I don’t sit in the back 😂

Rear vent covers
I ordered these but did take a couple of weeks to arrive. https://www.amazon.co.uk/NOPNOG-Outlet-Dustproof-Ventilation-Kodiaq/dp/B08N4S3VXW/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=NOPNOG+Set+of+2+Black+Car+Air+Outlet+Dustproof+Cover+Rear+Seat+Under+Ventilation+Car+Vent+Cover+ABS+for+Skoda+Kodiaq+2016+2017+2018&qid=1623386541&quartzVehicle=106-11670&replacementKeywords=nopnog+set+of+2+black+car+air+outlet+dustproof+cover+rear+seat+under+ventilation+car+vent+cover+abs+for+2016+2017+2018&sr=8-1

Rear vent covers
I have just fitted some covers over the rear vents under the passenger and drivers seat. Make it look a lot nicer.

Bike rack(s) for 5 bikes for Skoda Kodiaq
I have seen that stated on web sites but also have seen pics of people with a boot bike carrier fitted and they don't say that they have any issues. Perhaps someone who has a boot bike carrier could confirm.

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
Didn't ask but if it is like mt car it may be ota updates now. My kodiaq has had one recently but too early to see if it has actually fixed anything.

Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
Just to add, I was talking to a friend at work who has a new golf and he has some of the same issues with his car. He gets the speedo going into Kph sometimes, has the road signs showing in Kph, he has had the sos fault and also the acc suddenly slowing the car when it will see a speed sign for a slower parallel road and think that is the speed for the road he is on, he says he gets it passing slip roads on motorways mainly. So it looks like most of the software issues are through out the group of manufaturers, probably all using the same basic software that has the problems and adding their customisation on top.
-
Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
I definitely have some software problems with the car. I have the intermittent travel assist fault with the heated steering wheel turned on, road signs in KPH sometimes and the ACC sometimes thinking I am driving on the other side of the road so slows the car down when trying to pass a car on a dual carriageway or motorway. All the problems are very intermittent. I have been told that a software fix is coming to sort it all out.
-
Travel assist steering wheel sensor faulty
I had my steering wheel replaced due to the same travel assist error when you turn on the heated steering wheel but the fault is still there and like before it in intermittent. I have now been told it is a software issue so the dealer is waiting for an update. I just make sure I email them every time it happens so as to keep a record of it.
