  1. Here's a couple of threads that are probably worth a read;
  2. I had an intermittent 'fault' with my cruise control when I first got the car. It turned out that if you move the switch too slowly when turning it on it will generate a fault. I even took it to the dealer and he recreated the fault on another car. I flick the switch across quicker now and haven't had a problem since.
  3. @Carlston helpfully listed all the sizes here;
  4. Yours looks more like this Vega "style" wheel. https://cmwheels.com/products/18″-skoda-vega-style-wheels-gloss-black-machined/
  5. I can't edit the previous post but it turns out that's exactly what it is. Whipped the wheel off earlier. There is nothing where it shouldn't be but the wear sensor on the inner edge on the inner pad is actually almost touching the disk face .You can barely see it, amazed the tester reported it, twice. I guess that's because the pads are almost actually due for replacement. They're down to 3 or 4mm so maybe the dealer meant there was 30% left at the last service 🤣
  6. Oh yeah, that makes more sense 🤣 That's the problem with taking it to the dealer who takes it to the MOT garage. I don't get to talk to the tester. Odd they never mentioned it / sorted it at the last service. I guess that's what you get when everything's on a checklist 🙄
  7. Thought I'd resurrect this as I had the car MOT'd earlier. I did indeed get an advisory for the bushes along with exactly the same advisory for front pads I got last year. Which is odd as they were only 30% worn at the service in September 🤷‍♀️ Dealer (Marshall's - wouldn't normally go there for a MOT but its included in the service plan) was quite chill about it, blaming potholes. Didn't try to sell me new wishbones or anything.
  8. This seller on eBay will sell you a replacement socket if you send them a pic of the bolt. Other sellers have the sockets but need you to identify the correct one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114997329649 It might also be worth speaking to your local dealer to see if Skoda keep a record of the code fitted to the car.
  9. I'd be asking the dealership to fix it. It will be connected into the back of the unit in the glovebox. You will need a set of removal keys. This video shows how. It's for a Golf but they're all similar.
  10. I'd guess that the dealership has forgot to reconnect the GPS aerial.
  11. Sorry. I'm pretty sure it won't. The firmware software is overwritten. I very much doubt any copies are saved 🙄

  13. You can factory reset the infotainment. That's what I did when I first got mine: You will need to re-pair your phone(s) afterwards.
  14. You can only use genuine Skoda cards. The Nav knows whether they're genuine or not from the CID (Card IDentification) that is stored on the card. Needing a specific card doesn't make sense to me as the maps are freely downloadable. There's plenty of sellers online, both new and used, if you search Skoda maps sdcard.
  15. Oh, I'm sure they were pre-reg to hit targets. Thinking about it, most people will be happy with the fwd version so the market for them is quite small, hence they hang around a while. I am warming to the L&K version which gives me (slightly) more options. A localish dealer has one in grey which I'll probably go and test drive. Alternatively its a trip to Newbury for a Sportline+. I'm in no hurry to buy so am happy to wait for the right car to come up.
  16. Faulty as in what's it not doing? That is currently in the OFF position.
  17. @Esseesse200 Love the colour. Is it lowered or have you stuffed the MIL in the roofbox? 😄
  18. You're missing a lot of fuses looking at those diagrams 😄 Most likely because the related options weren't installed at the factory. What exactly is your "right - drivers side heating issue" and why do you think it might be caused by a missing fuse?
  19. I'm sure they look better in the flesh 😁
  20. They're nicer than these wheels which seem to be on most 280 L&Ks. Much less fussy.
  21. Thanks everyone for the reassurance. Definitely going to arrange a test drive somewhere once the weather improves a bit.
  22. Thanks @coppertop & @Dieselgate. I do think I'm overthinking it. I think I'll try and get a test drive in one if the weather ever improves.
  23. Thanks. I don't do enough miles to worry about fuel costs and specs are close enough I think I'm more concerned - probably unnecessarily - about how long the ones on sale have hung around. Thanks. That looks really good. I especially like the wheels. I probably wouldn't lower it as it'd still be in warranty.
  24. Oops. Yeah. Question remains the same though...
