There is a switch at the furthest pressed position of the accelerator pedal. On a manual the only thing it does is to allow you to accelerate past the defined speed if you have engaged the speed limiter.

Citroen does offer this as an option, but it is way too expensive and with questionable quality. Furthermore you cannot upgrade it.

A silver MK4 first edition hatch

I had the rattling, it turned out to be the hatch. They simply leveled it using those round rubber things on both sides of the hatch door and now it is fine.

Isn't this the background option? When you press the silver roll button on the right side twice it will select it. Then push the right arrow on the same side of the steering wheel and it will allow you to select a different predefined background. At least this is how it works for me.

I opened a chat over Messenger as suggested by peshetoman Unfortunately they say it cannot be retrofitted nor upgraded or whatever. I found a place where they retrofit ACC for the previous models of Octavia and Golf, which both have auto breaking, the camera, the radar and stuff, but it is not that simple apparently as the radar is different and requires re-calibration for ACC as far as I saw. What is weird is that lane keep assist is also not possible to add post factory, but why - beats me.

Background changes the background style/image of your dash. The Eco option is a G-force meter apparently which I has so little to do with economy, that I have no idea why they added it.

Indeed it is. I did not expect the light strips to be on the rear doors, so It did not come as a surprise to me. What I think they meant is the backlight behind the internal door handle. There is a very discere led light behind it that does not change colors, but lights the spot where the handle is.

No Mk4 has rear lights in the doors, only in the footwell and behind the door handle. Don't be disappointed when they tell you they cannot fit the light strips into the doors.

I did. It happened immediately after a major update they did on the car that took several hours. When I took the car back I attempted to load my user account and the media started rebooting evey 2 minutes until it died completely. The way to solve it was to do factory reser of the whole thing and then leave the car still for about 2 days. The reset took care of the constant rebooting, not the connection. I had scheduled a visit at Skoda, but the day before the appointment I had not driven the car for two days and when I started it - it connected.

You have to turn off the cruise control. It is only showing up if it is off from the blinkers stick.

In this case the above is correct. All people reporting serial number ending at D or E have it working. Mine is ending at C and it does not work. So I think we are screwed.

Can you share a photo of your software and hardware versions of the car and also- when you choose andoid auto from the screen, does it tell you that you need a cable?

If you have it you will be able to enable or disable it from the settings where you see a 3D version of the car.

Data plan or the remote access, map updates and stuff? I mean if you connect to the car's hotspot - do you get internet?

Same software, possible different settings or even different hardware. @Tomask Could you take a photo of your software versions of the car? Also - do you have data package paid for your car?

Very good review as usual. Unfortunately this car is way outside my price range, so I went with pure petrol. Otherwise I would definitely go with hybrid or plug in hybrid

They do exist and are easy to see. Just take a peek below the license plate after the car has been parked and you will see them closed. I always forget to try to see them open.

That is an option you can spec upon ordering from the factory, but the rep I was talking with when I bought my mk4 told me that it cannot be added post production due to different roof liner. Still worth checking this with a dealership though.
