Purchased a second hand ROM (run out model) mk3 Fabia for the Mrs. 1.0ltr with dsg box. She is a zippy little machine that’s for sure. White in colour and what appears to be a black metallic roof ? Sadly can’t find any paint code sticker. I will get some touch up paint for those small little chips all cars get.

It's always interesting seeing what other countries get as standard equipment. Here in Australia the nets came standard up until the MY21. Now it's an option, we don't get three hooks as depicted in the photo. We only get two holding/folding hooks, you want the safety triangle- that's an extra cost.

As others have said yes we certainly do get Skodas here. John doesn't mention them because of the disdain he has for VW and the diesel gate saga, and he has mentioned on several stories about the poor customer service/build quality etc.

You wouldn't think a fee should be charged for warranty stuff. However each country is different and I've been out of the trade directly for 19 years.

Thanks @FlyingGecko I suppose it all comes down to which brands push what relative to each part of the world. I live in the Central West part of NSW and takes me about 3 1/2hrs to drive back to Sydney. I don't miss the city at all, you can have your COVID lockdown, crappy traffic, woeful drives etc etc. I like living in my big regional town. I previously worked in another town that took 9 1/2hrs to drive back to Sydney but only 4hrs to get to the CBD of Melbourne.

No problem with wiring as I don't have one as yet. My question was purely to see if anyone has wired a BV unit and how they found it etc etc

@FlyingGecko thanks for your reply. The BV seem to have good name here in Australia and also recommend alot too. The other thing I like about the BV is they all seem less obtrusive aka "sticking out there". I hope this makes sense.

@HeavyMetalRich I can feel your pain and if I had locking bolts on mine I'd be putting them the same or the closest to the valve stem.

Thought I should post some pics of the end result of my big TLC weekend. Not the best photos but a great shine. My OCD resulted in each centre cap facing towards the valve stem haha

Masking tape around rubbers/edges where you don't want polish to get is also a good thing too. Im loving this discussion thread

@Gerrycan never had sensors prior to my Skoda, but I wouldn't go without now. Yes sensors are great lol
