A few thoughts after itβs first wash!
Gave my 3 month old Sportline a decent wash and then polished all of the car and alloy wheels too. My OCD got the better of me so I placed the centre cap "arrow" pointing towards the tyre valve.

Thoughts on a new MY21 Superb Sportline 280
@fencereven my Sportline Karoq has more USB points than yours. It seems odd that skoda have removed so many things, I accept price to manufacture etc etc but sometimes even that is questionable.

What's wrong with the Karoq ? If you love it so much why change ? I love my Karoq Sportline and can't see myself getting rid of her for minimum of 5 years. Have you thought of modifying or personalising your karoq ?

I think you should do the red callipers

Cleaning & Detailing: what did you do to your motor today?
Im loving this thread however with most of you all in the UK some of the brands you've mentioned I've not seen here in the sunny land down under. My Karoq is about 2 months old and would love to throw a wax/polish on her. I know McGuire's and also Autoglym. I love a home grown brand call Bowdens own, and I've heard good reports of Purewax. Is there a polish you could recommend? (One that will protect and also shine) I blame my new addiction of looking at whitedetail on youtube for this new interest.

Mini USB ports - Karoq 21 registration
Im probably not as old as you but I remember my parents having an 8 track in the car they had at the time. That makes me oldish too π

Hi from a potential new owner
@mistac welcome to the fold and you will learn to love your new vehicle. Ask questions and don't be a stranger. Congrats on your new purchase too. @FlyingGecko it's a shame SAAB no longer exists, we can thank GM for that sad demise. Having said that you are spot on regarding tyres, shop around and you might be surprised. Im not a fan of the Bridgestone tyres on my sportline and may end up going over to a different brand come the time.

Changes for MY22
I love the MY21 Sportline I have currently, and as @croquemonsieur has already mentioned that grill is a hard pass for me.

Loose door edge on my Skoda Superb 3.
I tend to agree @JR RS and only put it down to either a glue failure or something has impacted with that part. That in turn causing the current issue ? Kodiaq Owners Register
I like seeing the Australian population starting to see that Skoda are a great car. Why pay for an Audi or VW when you can get a Skoda and save money.

Changes for MY22
Is it me or does the front grill appear to be vertical and no laid back slope thats visible on the current MY21 ? In relation to the BMW kidney grill, thats a hard pass thanks.

First Skoda
Welcome Blue, Yes you will find a fair amount of us Aussies and Kiwis in this group. Enjoy your new car and enjoy the forum. Ask questions and don't be afraid to read other posts regarding different models. I've got a MY21 Karoq Sportline but often look around the Kodiaq and Supurb threads. Could be worse though, you could be in Victoria lol

Another Aussie West Australia if I can read correctly?

Thoughts on a new MY21 Superb Sportline 280
Strange that your MY21 Supurb has limited usb ports. My MY21 Karoq Sportline has 2 type C plus the wireless charger mat, a usb port in the rear and another cigar lighter output in the boot too.

Bosch AeroTwins
It all comes down to how you look after them. The wipers on my previous car (subaru) lasted 5 years.

Coasting
Correct on all accounts but the GPF is called PPF p for petrol π

So you have a MY21 Karoq ? Mine is a MY21 and can't say I've experienced this "coasting"

I hate my Kodiaq
In Australia we get a 5 year warranty, so I can't complain in that respect. 5 years seems to be the industry normal. I also know that skoda have had a better amount of sales this year compared to the previous year π

I hate my Kodiaq
Not every car is going to be fault free, sad but a fact of life. Whilst I've only had my new car for one month I have to say so far its been fantastic. @Kitchengirlit does appear that you've had a few problems and yes maybe you sadly got "that car" which has ongoing issues. As for the diagnostic tools part, that tool will only give you what the fault is, it's up to the mechanic/technician to verify the part itself is at fault or something else. I remember years ago when I was on the tools, I was trying to diagnose a fault. The JDS (Jaguar diagnostic system) kept spitting out different faults all the time for the same system that failed. This was in the late 80s very early 90s when the XJ40 was released and selling.

Are all Karoq 2.0tdi 4x4?
@Phil245 yes it may not have snowed in the last 20 years but some people still want a 4x4 or AWD vehicle. I accept that we all have our likes/dislikes but I personally don't see the dislike for 4x4/AWD.

Are all Karoq 2.0tdi 4x4?
Either way I hope you find a vehicle that ticks the boxes you want. Id love if we had the TDI engine in Australia for the Karoq. I've got a sportline with all the bells and whistles, which in the end is ok by me.

New Superb owner
@patrolman congrats on your new vehicle and may I say he/she is looking mighty fine indeed. Do you have any mods or things planned for your new vehicle ?
