  1. Yes. That is my guess too regarding my car. I think there is WAY too much blowby, that's why there is oil in the pcv pipe that leads to the intake. I will probably be opening up the engine sometime in the spring for a repair.
  2. Is your compression fine? If that's the case, than it's almost certainly the valve stem seals. The piston rings and valve stem seals are the only components left that could cause this. Also, changing the PCV diaphragm made no improvement. I'm almost certain it's the pistons head or pistons rings.
  3. I am having a problem with oil consumption, and I think that it might be linked to the fact that there is noticeable oil in the hose going from the PCV. I checked the diaphragm and although it looked fine I changed it since I've ordered a replacement. Any idea what might be forcing the oil in there? Thanks
  4. You live up to your name 🤣🤣🤣 "smokey"
  5. Oil temperature is usually between 97 to 105. When driving hard it gets to around 110-113. I will also be replacing the valve diaphragm this week and will update the post after driving at least 1000km.
  6. This means you're lucky ( or not?? 😂 😂 Might be something way more expensive).
  7. Yes, but you are probably going to take out one of the injectors to make some space, by the looks of it.
  8. This is how it looked like when taking out the pipe that goes from pcv to the intake. This is probably the easiest "test" to do.
  9. There's only one pressure sender. You can check this exhaust pipe with catalyst and particulate filter... - Octavia(OCT) [EUROPA 2014 year] (7zap.com)
  10. When replacing the sensor, should I reset the learned values ?
  11. Is there any light upgrade available for the Bi-Xenon unit?
  12. Yeah, that's right. You triggered some "hidden" memory I had apparently(by bringing the wiring diagram in discussion and G39 naming). I remember from the self study pdf on ea288 engines, that there's only one pre-cat.
  13. How many lambda probes does the CUPA engine have? Does it have two or only one ? (before the cat). I'm getting an error on B1 S1, so that should be the one upstream of the cat? (like the one here ? Replacing Lambda Sensor Skoda Octavia 2014 - YouTube )
  14. Xiaomi a800s front + rear cam. Totally worth it for that money. And this is the power adapter
  15. My dashcam also uses 2 power wires. Permanent + Key on voltage, so it powers on when i turn the key, and powers off when i take the key out.
  16. I'm still not convined those fit on the Octavia. There are cheaper similar ones on AliExpress.
  17. Thanks for the suggestions. The fuel filter will be changed asap. May I also ask where the fuel non-return valve is located? By checking this I'm guessing it's the 'damper' ?
  18. Engine cranking a few good times before starting. No driving involved
  19. No, it is not doing it. That's why I've asked. Might it be a fuel filter problem? I'm about to change it anyway in the following days since I think it's due. Don't know when it was last serviced.
  20. Is this a possibility? Since it only happens if facing uphill.
  21. I've noticed that even on a very small incline, when facing uphill, the car has a rough start. What might be causing this? (vRS TDI )
  22. So the actual fit for Octavia mk3 is from the Golf Mk6?
  23. Does anyone know if there's something similar to this for the Octavia Mk3 ? Savanini Steering Wheel Shift Paddle Extension For VW Golf 7 R GTI Scirocco POLO MK7 Tiguan Rline 2019 Auto Car accessories|Steering Wheels & Steering Wheel Hubs| - AliExpress And by similar, I mean paddles that replace the OEM ones, not those that you can stick over them.
  24. Stock car, tried from ECO to Sport, results are mostly the same. It's just that the soot mass calculated creeps up steadily. During an active regen the EGT goes all the way to 650. As for the passive regen, it's almost impossible with this car I guess, since the EGT only goes past 400ish on long inclines or when you keep it floored.
  25. This is kinda off-topic, but I'm getting only about max 350kms when driving mostly outside the city and anywhere from 150-200km while driving in the city. Using the VAG DPF app, and the regens are always getting triggered by the soot mass calculated. What might be the culprit to gettings such low mileage between regens compared to yours? ( The filter got cleaned recently due to it being clogged )
