  1. Yep, I had this too. When my MAF was bust the "traction control" light was on.
  2. I wouldn't worry about warranty myself. It's virtually impossible to brick an iPhone through jailbreaking, and well worth it in my opinion. It's such a simply process and if you were to be unlucky and develop a fault with your device you can always flash back to a standard firmware version and take it back to O2/Apple- it's no biggie. I've jailbroken mine since I bought it (running os3) now too. Love having the freedom and extra apps jailbreaking brings... I think if you had the exploding battery issue (haven't heard of it) I doubt they'll take the effort to check the firmware version.
  3. I'm running a 205 gti with a mi16 conversion- which gives around 200bhp/tonne. Managed to pull 6 seconds with a g-tech with old tyres in the damp, they are certainly quick. I think every car nut should own one of these at some point in their lifes. I've had some great fun in it and surprised alot of cars, for example an e46 M3 is around the same bhp/tonne. Sure past 100mph I'd imagine the m3 would pull away, but i've had a couple plays 30-90mph and there was nothing in it. Not sure the guy with his girlfriend was too impressed that his shiney BMW couldn't outrun a 17 year old french hatch back
  4. Green spring is good for 5-15psi apparently. Mine peaks at a little over 16psi and i'm still running the green spring... got a feeling some people with stage 2s are as well.
  5. Hmmm, just drove it and it does seem to be pulling to the left, although maybe that's just the camber of the road.... Who did you hear that from 4x4t?
  6. Awesome, just got the car back from them £73 all in, including fitting the 2 new tyres I bought online. Seems ok so far though, graphs below: Data_Sheet.jpg - ImageHost.org http://g.imagehost.org/0552/Before.jpg http://g.imagehost.org/0929/After.jpg
  7. Thanks mate. I've also heard Seven Mile Stone garage on the way out to St Agnes have a hunter machine. Ordered some more f1s and am ringing up today for a quote on fitting and a 4WA.
  8. Going to have to stop you there. 1.3MBps~ write speed? Have I missed something?
  9. Can't wait ...well I'll have to for the new jailbreak but still :P
  10. Hmm, don't quote me on this- but i'm fairly sure you can remote wipe and enforce password security from exchange on the iPhones same as WM.
  11. Mine lasts about 2 days with push enabled. We support windows mobile devices and I can say the iPhone is literally in another league in terms of gui and ease of use. iPhone lacks a couple of features though, you can pull additional folders down. I don't see a massive issue with this though as the majority of users will user rules in Outlook to direct new emails into particular folders. If outlook isn't open the emails will simply sit in the inbox until the rule is run. I've found the iPhones battery lasts longer than the HTC phones we have in as well, probably because users spend twice as long doing the same task...
  12. I use NOD32 with ERAS at work and I find it excellent. Creating a package and deploying different configs, not to mention viewing individial configs on clients (and updating if needed) is a great feature. Updating clients is so simply with the mirror and with a quick glance I can see all of the definition versions my clients are running. Also the ability to view recent events / virus warnings on every machine in your business is very helpful. Regarding pushing new packages out, I've found no really issues with it? (Infact you can use it to push out non eset products too) which is a bonus. If you are using it with VISTA then shame on you. Vista in a production environment = a big no no from me. Plus, did you test before deploying it to everyone? This should have flagged these issues and you could have investigated the actual issue...
  13. My mate put some R888s on his 205 mi16.... lasted 1.5k miles!! Bloody insane amounts of grip though. I know the F1s are very soft compound, but I was hoping for ~10k or so not 6.
  14. I'm tempted to order a set of T1Rs and see how I get on with them...
  15. 28k  "Need to learn how to drive", I can drive perfectly well thanks and as stated before my girlfriend has been driving it mostly (she has been driving for 10 years). Might see if I can get a 4 wheel allignment then. 4x4t, where did you go for yours? I heard there was a hunter machine near us (which from what i've read is the best for this).
  16. Never spin the wheels, never floor it in 1st... and it gets full traction in 2nd+ in the dry. Can't say I corner like a mad man either, infact my girlfriend has been the one driving it for the last 6 or so months and she takes it fairly easy.
  17. 4WA = 4 wheel allignment? Even if they've worn fairly evenly?
  18. I put a new set of tyres on the front just after christmas 2008. They are now on the markers and I average about 1k a month. Surely that's pretty poor? The wear seems pretty even, although there is a BIT more left on the very outside (maybe a mm or two). How long are they lasting other people?
  19. If not superantispyware / combofix and smitfraudfix are also excellent
  20. Personally anything up to 2 days (I have push email constantly on as well). With light useage and no push it lasted 3-4 days (on holiday).
  21. Youtube is just not that reliable, plus it's peak time now for UK servers i'd imagine... Try again in an hour or two
  22. iPhones are in my opinon the best phone out at the moment, for many reasons. I used windows mobile for 4-5 years before moving to the iPhone and personally the experience is night and day. I also support various HTC devices at work for push email (again better on the iPhone). New one is coming out soon and version 3 of the OS will also be released to us- which should have some nice updates. Great devices, blackberrys / htc / android don't come close to it. People that say they do, either haven't used an iPhone for any length or time, or have bought the other device and are defending it! Oh and the megapixel debate is just silly, I've seen phones with 8 megapixel OMG AWESOME CAMERAS take awful photos. If you want decent pictures buy a digital camera please, phones are for quick shots.
  23. I bet that wouldn't have cost any more than £500 from an independent/vag specialist.
  24. When Autocar reviewed the vRS (apparently running at 190bhp iirc) it said nothing short of a 330i would be need to keep up with it to 100mph. 330i is like you say a better car all round though, I think the problem with bmws is- they are TOO refined if you want to feel speed. My friend has a 330d (brand new) and it really doesn't feel quick- although of course it is. In terms of E46 m3s, they are fairly quick- but not incredible. I've had a couple of plays 30-90mph in the 205 mi16 and can honestly say the m3 didn't pull much on it at all. Then again they are about the same bhp/tonne. No doubt after 90mph the bmw would fly off though... I've never really been into BMWs though, for me there are plenty of other cars I want to own over a BMW.
  25. Get the 150bhp 1.8T Maf... as it's the correct one for your engine. I looked for another place to buy the mafs but @ £75 from the dealer you may as well just pick one up (imo).
