Anyone gone for the new colour?
The first one we'll see in the real world will probably come out of the factory sometime next Christmas at this pace.

Delivery times?
That's quartz grey, graphite grey doesn't have the blue tint, you can see it on the new Fabia and the facelifted Kodiaq.

Delivery times?
First week of May, it was an RS 2.0 TSI DSG combi.

Delivery times?
My dealer told me the colour of my car was changed to Graphite Grey instead of Quartz Grey, so I have no hope of receiving it this year anymore. I don't think a single Graphite Grey Octavia left the factory so far, I for sure haven't seen one. And I have been looking.

Oh no, you're experiencing hope!

How is it to drive?
Steering is light and it feels quite small compared to a Renault Laguna 2/3, suspension and road noise is less noticeable too, but it's a new car so that's expected. That's all I noticed test driving 1.5 dsg model. There is no way you can tell that the car has a torsion beam at the back unless you go on the track and try to chase milliseconds. The car is front wheel drive, rear end can do whatever it wants on the road it makes very little difference.

How do you know they knew that? Pretty sure every single manufacturer was expecting shortages to ease at the end of 2022 and instead they got worse because of additional factors. Your message makes no sense whatsoever.

Can I turn the nags off?
Pretty sure they all have it since it's supposed to be a safety feature.

Rear suspension fitting
I doubt 95% of drivers would notice a difference between torsion bar and independent rear suspension. It's crazy to replace it, torsion bar is great, reliable, cheap to maintain and cheap to build.

Canton Sound System Upgrade
Agreed. People used to modify those enclosures on Golfs by stuffing them full of filler. That might help a lot.

Skoda Octavia IV pictures thread
That's just normal Octavia specs. RS non-iV has lowered suspension. Why is it ridiculous to ride in comfort?
-
Delivery times?
Those could just be lucky cancelled orders. I think the actual production is massively behind, I have been searching for a graphite grey Octavia to see how it looks and no one has one on any forums, I've checked Autoscout24 too and they should have started making them already a while back.

It looks like a normal Octavia, isn't that view good enough?

Disable headlight washers?
But you can order Matrix headlights without washers. It is a possible combination, at least in my market it was.

Just saying chip doesn't really mean much these days. There are a lot of different integrated circuits in all kinds of shapes and sizes and they don't necessarily mean the same level of complexity and price. For example a computer processor or your phone soc (system on chip) is one massive integrated chip that is extremely advanced. But a car circuit might need a lot of simple logic gates or transistors which are also chips, but at this point people can make those in their garage. We don't actually know which type of chips are affecting cars the most. Journalists say it can take "up to 1400 chips" to build a car of all varying shapes and sizes.

MkIV Vs Mk3 vRS Estate - Roadnoise!
17 is also narrower which helps with noise some.
-
Delivery times?
There is no other way to explain it other than that something from your spec must be missing and they physically can't finish it. The world is crazy, manufacturers clearly expected things to get better by the end of the year and instead in July they got worse, much worse in fact.

Delivery times?
As if any other company is doing any better. Others just don't take orders.

I'd take a 320i over an RS if it were even close to the same price over here (it's 45k vs 31k). You guys seem to be overpaying for Škodas.

MkIV Vs Mk3 vRS Estate - Roadnoise!
In theory MK4 has better sound insulation, but it's still in budget class. If you look at ADAC tests it's in the same league as VW Golf, Mercedes A class, A3. If you want better you need to step up to a more expensive car.

Our Octavia iV now has fully-working software
If you have two keys I would use it until it dies completely. It might be giving that message when the voltage is low, but it might stay low for months.

If they miss your delivery term you can try asking them to rent you something for less money while you wait for a month or two. But hopefully it does recover before April, that's still half a year, a long time.

KPH/MPH
Enough is enough for what? If you cancel your order and they give you back a deposit you have nothing else to buy anyway, unless you go to premium brands which still have some stock. And most people's cars work well enough anyway.

Delivery times?
That would probably come faster now, because not everyone wants to buy a Lambo.
