Delivery times?
Don't think that's always the case. I ordered a my21 rs and now it's being built as a my22, the only thing that changed was the colour.

Delivery times?
What the hell, so did they stop production or not? Mixed messages from Skoda every hour of every day 🤣

Driving Mode Reverts To Normal at Every Restart
It's the same as the driving mode isn't it? Start/stop is under the tyre pressure button, press the button then the screen.

Driving Mode Reverts To Normal at Every Restart
That is true and it would be fine, but Å koda made changing the driving profile harder than it should have been. The dedicated button should be able to toggle between modes, not only open the window of where the modes are.

Not possible.

Delivery times?
I would relax and forget the car for good 4 months with that message. Had that since May, still the same.

Delivery times?
Why would it worry you? Even if you did pay for it you have not received it, if they lose it (which I doubt is happening, it's probably just stuck at some staging/loading/unloading place during the holidays) they would have to make you another one. 😃

alloy gators
I'd say you better spend more and get tyres with a decent rim protector, something like Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 5, those have meaty protection. And then you don't need to play around with plastic.

Delivery times?
Not yet. I expect to get it sometime in spring judging by everyone elses delivery times. I ordered in May 2021.

Delivery times?
I ordered MY21, but the only thing that has changed for MY22 was my colour. I've kept all the options and my dealer has not said I need to remove anything. Still have Canton and a reverse cam.

KESSY functionality on mk4 Octavia
I agree. Metal box isn't hard to use and it will help against opportunistic thieves. If you're being targeted then nothing at all is going to help.

Delivery times?
Their whole business depends on manufacturers giving them review samples and inviting them to events, why would any major publication risk their financial security that way? It's not like customers can't find this out, everyone knows. And those who act surprised after ordering were either willingly oblivious or just dumb. When I went in to order in April it was already obvious there would be delays, my dealer said 6 months, but without guarantee.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
Port injection is gone from the newer engine because of gpf, they didn't need port injection to help with emissions when gpf became mandatory and so they removed it.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
Pretty sure your MOT can't tell if the DPF has been tampered with. All I can find is that there is a "visual" test of the exhaust. That doesn't tell you anything, they easily pass the emissions tests. It's probably even harder on a petrol car which already has barely any particles.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
I think someone will find out how to remove it, like the majority of diesel owners do when those fail nowadays. Tractors too, deleting emissions hardware on farm equipment is a very common practice.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
But it does work? It only asks you to maintain it. Also the procedure probably uses like a shot glass of fuel, at most.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
That's clearly the intended strategy. Seat is the youth focused sporty cheap brand, Skoda is more grown up comfortable cheap brand. I could have easily gone for a Cupra Leon it was the same price, but I didn't because I value matrix-led, heated windshield and overall softer ride more than the extra 60 hp. Not to mention at least here Skodas hold value better in the used market, better down the line.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
No one is saying that VW doesn't have troubles. What I'm saying is that VW is the last affordable company in the EU that still makes good and fun ICE cars. Others have completely thrown in the towel and decided to stop offering choices, just eco eco eco.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
You think VW had no alternative then what about Renault and Peugeot? They're straight up just putting one engine on different tunes in their cars now. Such amazing choices for the consumer. Want an economy box? How about a small 3 cylinder petrol? Big SUV? How about the same small 3 cylinder petrol with a different engine map? Every manufacturer is hit by these new regulations. The only ones that can still cope are the premium brands since their volumes are lower, it's easier for them to pool and their EV's don't have to cost much more than their ICE cars since those had great profit margins to begin with.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
A lot of manufacturers were betting on diesels because CO2 was the main focus. The only reason VW scandal was the loudest is because they got caught, others are still in legal battles or settling quietly. By the way, VW is still selling diesels while a lot of other manufacturers decided to quietly exit the picture, doesn't that tell you something? like I said, there are no other manufacturers in Europe who are still pushing the limits like VW is and it is benefiting customers. All other affordable brands are now extremely boring and slow or electric, which makes them expensive.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
Exactly. They can't even do it on their own anymore. The requirements are insanely high. It's as if everyone in the EU is slowly being forced to take the bus or sell their house for an EV. EU alone is trying to save the planet while Americans enjoy their V8's and pickup trucks, lovely.

Do all TSI engines in Mk4 have GPF
Actually it's because of EU fleet emissions requirements. VW couldn't offer people golf gti's and octavia vrs's if they didn't push for hybrids and dsg's. I'll take a more fun less reliable car instead of a full blown economy box other manufacturers are offering in the EU. VW is pretty much the last stand, excluding the premium manufacturers which can afford more CO2 per fleet.

The joys of small markets.

Delivery times?
I don't expect them to go down any time soon. Most manufacturers will be filling orders from 2021 for most of 2022, no catching up in sight. Maybe 2023-2024 things to back to normal.
