  1. 600w total output is not low. A lot of home cinema amps don't have more power to give. Sure they have an external sub amp, but even those are often class D and 50-200W RMS. Also there is no way you're going to drive any of those speakers "hard". It will be like 10w going to each corner and some more for the sub. Unless you listen to music over 100 dB which would be insane to do in a car. Chasing percentage points of harmonic distortions in a car is also insane considering how high the noise floor is. But hey, to each their own, some people like to burn money. Also neither Dynaudio (which is not in VW cars anymore) neither Canton actually make any of the VW parts. They used to be made by Panasonic or Lear corporation. Probably still are, the name is just marketing. https://allegro.pl/oferta/wzmacniacz-dynaudio-vw-5h0035456a-9857428236 Here is your Dynaudio Golf amplifier. Made by Panasonic.
  2. It's not better? It uses very similar components, same subwoofer, less overall power and speakers.
  3. I don't know why you expect an aftermarket amp to be better in any way. The most limiting factor by far in the factory canton option is the sub enclosure, it's small and plastic and it's sealed. If you connect a normal 10-12 inch 8+8 ohm sub in a normal ported enclosure to the standard amp it would be able to produce decent sound.
  4. Rolling diameter is different. 205 60 R16 is a bigger wheel than 205 55 R16. 205 is the width in millimeters, so that means 60 is 123mm high and 55 is 113 mm high. Gives you an overall 20mm larger diameter. MK4 doesn't have direct TPMS. Basically the wheels would fit and work fine, you would just have a wrong speedometer number. Not sure about legality in the UK. In Lithuania no one cares about the spec, in Germany everyone cares.
  5. found a better picture of graphite grey, but it's a sportline model
  6. I went with quartz grey when it was available, now switched to graphite grey, because they couldn't build it in time. For two reasons, I don't like washing cars and the pillar colour is very visible when sitting inside the car, so it was either black or grey for me. So far I have only seen these two bad pics in German forums of graphite grey vRS. Spoiler because they're screenshots of a picture for some reason:
  7. Skoda doesn't talk to anyone. That's why there is such a massive difference between everyone, all the information comes from the dealers.
  8. That's a year from now.
  9. Interesting. Or bizarre. Others who ordered Canton even earlier than you are being asked to remove the option, while yours apparently got built, also that's a fast build, even if the 8 weeks comes true it will only be half a year for you.
  10. But then the Mk5 will get announced and deliveries won't start for a year. It's already happened to the new T-roc and others. 🤣
  11. Different options aren't available. I ordered Canton and apparently it's a major block, people are getting offers to remove the option to get their car faster. I think rear view camera is another big one.
  12. It's a budget system. I have only listened to the standard 8 speaker system, but even that sounds pretty damn good for a budget car. If you want more bass just swap the sub for a bigger one. I'm sure even the stock Canton amp can drive an 8-10 inch sub to reasonable levels, it's 100Wx2.
  13. That's so weird. I ordered a Quartz Grey VRS Estate with DSG in May and my dealer said that my car can't be made with that colour anymore. It switched to graphite grey by default.
  14. 10A is not much at all. If the UK plug is rated 13A you can bet it can safely handle that and more for a long period of time. Cable maybe less so, but you could use 0,75mm2 cable and it would hold 10A for a hundred years. (Standard cable in most high power appliances is usually 1.5mm2).
  15. That option doesn't exit anymore, among a few others. Supposedly Å koda can't get enough parts so they simply removed the option for now.
  16. It might not be all models of all specs and I saw it in Polish forums, so maybe someone just got quoted an extra long time. But there are definitely long delays https://www.volvocarspoole.co.uk/news/extended-lead-times-for-new-volvo-orders/110770
  17. Volvo is like 13 months too unless you buy from available stock.
  18. Why would they change anything when other manufacturers are having the same problems? As long as they do actually give decent estimates. This year for example their estimates got screwed after summer, because things didn't get better, they got worse.
  19. If you got yours I might get mine. 🙃 Did you go for Canton?
  20. During October when the production lines stopped Å koda said they were planning to finish 10,000 cars that are sitting, so more than 10,000 then.
  21. Not sure why you think that. They have white silver black grey and even had pretty brown and different shades of blue. There aren't many colours left.
  22. New gearbox after barely getting past breaking in period, doesn't seem particularly reliable.
  23. You can't even order the canton as an option now. It never used to be standard, but now it doesn't exist in the UK. I read in a German forum that you can still spec it, but the dealers warn about extra delays if you do.
  24. Did you ask the dealer for winter tyres or did you have to buy them yourself? (Asking, because they're on default rims)
  25. But there is no stock to pick from, the only models that aren't bought immediately are bad spec or just unpopular. There is a shortage of new cars.
