  1. Pretty sure all new engines need to have GPF to meet the emissions targets easier.
  2. It's a 9 billion roadmap, they're not spending it all right away. And also it's not that much considering how much software development costs these days.
  3. Software issues are never simple, especially in systems like this that have all sorts of connections between modules. It's sad that it has taken them this long to sort them out however, I expected for faster improvement when Audi developers stepped in. Maybe hardware is limiting them and they can't optimize it enough, so they cut corners.
  4. I test drove an mhev and brake pedal definitely felt a little weird, but I assumed it was normal that it does some voodoo to regenerate.
  5. Of course, it's an R19. Most places stock R16's and R17's, not to mention all the SUV's that got crazy popular recently. All car tyres will become more rare.
  6. Reviving old thread, but I wouldn't worry about "rare" sizes such as R19 225/40. Škoda, Mercedes, BMW now use that size as factory standard on some of their cars so it's not going to be rare in the future.
  7. Škoda makes far more Octavias and the demand is way higher so it kinda makes sense that it's harder for them to recover from the slump in manufacturing.
  8. If you get your car in 3 months you'll be setting the record anyway. A lot of people are waiting for a half a year or more.
  9. October 2020? Because in october 2021 no one was able to order canton anymore.
  10. That's illegal, you have Canton and a delivery date 😐
  11. If the deadline is 5 months away you just know they haven't even looked at the problem yet. 🤣
  12. When you lease companies offer better rates and you lose similar amount of money, but are not attached to the car in any way, so if you drive a lot it makes financial sense to just keep leasing and driving new cars all the time.
  13. I think you need to step back from the forums and relax if that makes you angry. It's just a car.
  14. It's completely random, a couple weeks ago in German forums a lot of people received RS TDI's while in the UK a lot of posts were about getting their iV's.
  15. 1000% disagree on that. MK4 looks better than MK3 looked 9 years ago.
  16. If you have R17 wheels on both MK3 and MK4 then MK4 has more rubber, because the sidewalls are larger.
  17. If it continues like this the next gen superb might come out late 2025 🙃
  18. It's more aerodynamic, so it uses less fuel and has less wind noise. Matrix lights are pretty cool to have. Interior looks way better. Wheels are bigger so if you go for R17-R18 you have thicker sidewalls which should increase comfort.
  19. Everyone keeps saying buying in the first year of a new model is a bad idea, but no one seems to listen. Manufacturers know this and predicting every rattle is too expensive so all of them push barely ready cars out the door and just sort issues as they come up.
  20. Manufacturers are trying to reduce emissions in every way these days, because of EU fleet emissions law. So they put high tyre pressures and low rolling resistance tyres to win every single gram of co2.
  21. You can look on used parts websites they have all the speakers layed out in detail, everything has a Panasonic logo or no logo. Dynaudio is only seen on the front plate.
  22. Or you could get wheels that don't require pampering. Washing cars is not enjoyable to me. Similar to washing dishes.
  23. Nothing at all was made by Dynaudio.
  24. Just adding to my last post, previous Octavia sound system was made by Sonavox and branded Canton. Car manufacturers just offer sound equipment companies advertisement opportunities and stick their badge on the "upgraded" audio. If you want real upgraded audio you need to buy a Lexus with Mark Levinson or a Porsche with Burmeister. Those two seem to actually do something with the audio, but their price also reflects that.
