  1. Try in this thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/287901-amundsen-bluetooth/
  2. It's in the guides section somewhere. Or just Do a search 👍
  3. Mate where abouts do you live? I have a spare unit that you can have for free if you need one as I recently fitted a complete new system in my Fabia. If you live far from me (Buckinghamshire) I can send it if you are willing to pay postage.
  4. You have to release the clip with a screwdriver at the top edge one you remove the rubber.
  5. Try vw parts on +44 7521 607904 That's where I got mine from for £65 a few months ago
  6. This is fixed to the roof trim only and the roof is flat. The light has some silver clips that grab the panel from behind. The roof has a thin layer of padding on it that helps the light look like it is recessed but it is actually just sitting on top and the curve shape of the light also helps the eye. There is probably shadow there in the pic also. I've only had it in a day and already feel like it was meant to be there. 👍
  7. I don't see why not. After finding what wires do what you would need to ensure that you have enough depth between the roof liner and the roof to hold the switch. I was initially worried about this as it works out that there was enough room plus another cm.
  8. So I got time to finish this today. I decided to put in an interior rear roof light from an Audi A3. I just wired it straight from the front roof light with continuous power so the kids can just turn the light on and off when they want to see something. I did not bother wiring to the door signal wires. I like the look of it.
  9. As stated above. The better your sound system and source is the better quality files you will need. I have just ripped out the system in my Fabia and upgraded everything. Before as standard you could hear a difference between 320mp3 and 160 MP3 only just. You could hear, or should I say feel the difference from 320 to wav or flac. But now through the new system if you turn any 160 MP3 up to a med to high vol level it sounds terrible! I use a high Res player plugged in through AUX playing mostly FLAC/WAV. IF you are playing music loud in a normal standard system I would suggest at least 320mp3 or FLAC if your source supports it. If your car is a quiet car you won't have to play the music loud to drown out tyre noise or creaks.
  10. Thanks guys. Time to find the parts and proceed
  11. It is starting to bug me that my Fabia VRS has no rear interior light. I'm thinking of installing one. Is there anyone on here that has done this? Surely there must be 🤔. Is it as simple as running connections from the front light? And also is there a VRS that comes from factory with a light fitted cause the roof seems rather flat back there. Thanks if you have any info on this
  12. All done thank you guys. The only.proble..I had was the VW tool I got to screw into the bottom of the oil pan was M24 thread the actual one needed was M22 so I had to go to a local hose place to get one made up with a coupler and nipple.
  13. Ok thanks I just got off the phone and they said 75w I'll go to vw and get some
  14. Ok thanks do you know where I can get this G052 171 from I have a Syphon pump and only want to take out what I have put in
  15. I have the exact amount as I have it in a bottle so I just want to replace itI cannot see the sticker etc. in the boot or if there is one as the boot and wheel well has been covered with sound deadening etc. with an audio install. I have called Skoda UK and asked them if it has been done they do not seem to think it has to be done and cannot find any history of it needing being done. I am currently on hold to them right now as I am typing as they are trying to find out which oil it should be. It's rather painful as first the guy told me it should be Castrol 5w30 🤔. I said that sounds like engine oil to me. He's gone off to find out from someone else
  16. Thanks I will look. All I really want to do is refill it as I only took out the little bit from the 1st plug.
  17. Hi Chaps, Been trying to find a gap of time to service the car for the 1st time since I got it and had an hour today. Did not want to jack the car up to get under for the oil change so just drove onto a couple of positioned blocks to give enough room to get under to the drain plug. I stupidly undone the DSG plug and (even though something was telling me it's weird having an allen bolt instead of the normal 13mm bolt) I only realised when I noticed only 1.25 litres of really clean oil came out. I thought this is the cleanest oil I've seen and why is there only this much. 🤦🏿 Checked the oil still the same, Jacked the car up see the oil plug smiling at me 🤦🏿. What a numpty!!! Anyway can anybody tell me what the oil is that is needed for the DSG and what the adapter tool is called to screw onto the DSG plug to refill it? Going by the previous service record it has not been changed before but the car runs fine. The car is on 60, 000 miles with the last service at 54 000. Thanks
  18. Is this guy a member on here? https://youtu.be/k1cf7IFLxs8
  19. For anyone who would like to know. I have worked it out after going to bed and waking up with more patience and new patient (gear knob injured). For the Automatic Dsg gear knob removal simple way. The knob you press in on the side to move the gear selector you need to pull it out further. This will release a little hook mechanism that is in the gear knob under the DSG logo trim part. If you decide to do this I suggest you use a clamp of some type or mole grips with a cloth around the jaws to hold the side button in the open position. This will avoid you having to take the top half of the trim off where it says DSG to expose the hook. When you push the hook across this will make the button come out. Some people may be lucky and just be able to pull the knob straight up and off and then push it back on with the mechanism reseating itself but that would be a fluke. So make sure you keep the button on the open position. I had to go the long route and took the whole knob apart to see how it worked and broke a little bit that holds on to the shaft in the handle where the clip is but it should still work (just going out to test it) I think I may still buy a new one now I know how it works of I fancy a different looking one. I may try and pot some pics or a video later
  20. I wonder if anyone can help me. I was fitting heated seats today and removed the centre console trim and the plastic console around the transmission. Whilst pulling it up I accidentally caught the front of the trim under the front edge of the gear knob and it popped stra5 up and off. (I usually remove the transmission trim by taking off the gear knob surround trim feeding it through the whole releasing the wire connectors and leave the gear knob intact) I have put the know back on but the push in buttons are not working so I can not shift it out of park. If I take the gear knob off Nd pull up on the stick it will work but not with the knob on. It feels like I am pushing it down as far as it goes but there is no click as if it has returned to the correct place. Does anyone know how the mechanism works and if so can you give me some pointers on what I am doing wrong? Thanks
  21. Did you do it or a garage? Did you have both wheels off the floor whilst it was being done or was 1 side jacked up? Is it still just as bad or a little bit better? Did you get it realigned after? Are the spaces between the hub and the suspension strut the same distance apart on the left hand side of the car and the right hand side?
