  1. 😉That is completely fair! Huge difference. Do you normally just replace the one that has gone or do you consider all the same time?
  2. @ApertureS Sorry. I meant to put OE or aftermarket replacement if so which brand? Ta
  3. The Haldex was frustrating as had it serviced by an independent in the summer(he said that it didn't look like the gunk had ever been cleaned out even though it had oil changes, seems to get overlooked a fair bit) wish I replaced the pump then. I hope I don't have a water pump failure so will preempt it and get it changed I think. Yours looks great! I get that the impatience, I keep putting it off due to time but have a huge pile of parts in the living room so have to get it sorted now besides it feels very squishy now so I expect the current shocks are done or not in great shape. I've probably gone over the top replacing pretty much all parts associated. My brakes feel a touch weird since changing discs, pads, fluid, hoses. Getting them relooked at, suspect it may be the pads or discs.
  4. Hey! Glad to see things are progressing for you. I've not done much to mine, had to replace the Haldex pump even after 15/20k service intervals (I suspect that when the main dealer changed the fluid at one point they did not clean the gunk out which did not helped). Have all the parts now to replace the shocks Inc refresh of LCA, ball joints etc and rear ARB, so hopefully in the next few weeks will get that done. Conscious of the water pump failures on the Superb so may get that replaced first though. So nothing exciting so far ☹️
  5. Thank you for sharing, what a mad set of upgrades! Great reading this.
  6. Mine went from £550 to £897 Ironically I had quote that if I had a stage one, aftermarket alloys and lowered it would have been around £225 lower!
  7. @ApertureS what's your thoughts on Brembo HC aftermarket prime discs? https://www.bremboparts.com/europe/en/catalogue/skoda-superb-iii-estate-3v5-2-0-tsi-4x4/000115239-1?producttypes=Disc I can see they are also used by some of the companies as blank discs prior to cutting grooves in them. I've got the Brembo HC discs and EBC Blue pads and the brakes feel really rough, they do not feel smooth/ make a grinding noise and seems inconsistent (even when the brakes have some heat in them) compared to stock(I appreciate it is difficult to give a view without seeing the car) Thanks.
  8. Thanks Kete, that's great to know. I read you had them on this or another thread which peaked my interest and have now heard good things from others as well. I need to go to the workshop and have them take a look as something isn't right or perhaps they are just noisy on both counts. EBC have a fair amount of dust.
  9. Glad the upgrades went well, look like they will be solid upgrades to the beast. I went with EBC Blue pads, Brembo HC painted discs, Hel hoses, ATE SL6 fluid. Pedal feels good, don't know what's wrong with the fronts, it feels like the left caliper has an issue as it feels like it grinds when braking and they are noisy squealing when you brake. Not impressed, may try ATE ceramic. These wheels look great in real life, similar to those on some of the 23 RS3. Quality is very good on them and they are light.
  10. Same I'm running Continental Sport Contact 7 245/40ZR19 , they are currently on 19" Vega's, which I believe are 8" wide. No vibrations or anything, really great tyres.
  11. Great to hear, the stage 2 did you have to do the other changes? Such impressive performance numbers. Car looks great BTW
  12. @righty that makes sense on the tune. I spoke to a couple of VAG tuners, both recommended the Revo/TVS route. Advised the TVS on the TCU. Will go that route when I can. The JR42S look lovely. Interesting on the wheels, my friend with the Audi are ET32... we were going to try them on mine to see how they go.
