  1. Yes I imagine that is what happens.
  2. I've the 170HP CFGB engine in my 2012 Superb I don't think the engine is significantly different to yours ? I've changed the fuel filter and didn't need to prime the fuel system, had no issues with the engine starting after turning the engine over briefly. I've also the replaced the fuel injectors which involved removing the fuel rail. I did have to code the injectors to the car using VCDS and again I didn't have to prime the fuel system to get the car to start .
  3. If you had an EGR issue I would have thought when they scanned the car you'd have also had an EGR fault related fault code. Changing the fuel filter is relatively inexpensive and it just might resolve your problem. Even if it doesn't, it gives you the opportunity so see if there is any metal particles in the filter bowl. You said that you've had the pump replaced already and that might have pumped debris round your fuel system ? There isn't going to be much point in replacing any more expensive parts of the fuel system until any debris if any has been removed. Which is the 1st thing I did after I bought my Superb with a low fuel rail pressure issue. I also bought a new fuel pump pressure regulator which cost £25. Again still got low fuel rail pressure error code. By this time the car had gone from going into limp mode every now and again to every day! I then removed the injectors and got them tested as they were easier and quicker to remove than the fuel pump. It cost me £100 to get told they were all leaking badly. Not cheap buying remanufactured injectors but cheaper than new injectors I decided in the long run it was likely to more cost effective solution. On replacing the injectors when I came to clean the injector seats I could see they had all been re-cut rather badly ! So this wasn't the 1st set of replacement injectors my car had had! Okay the car had done 180,000 miles. I guess you could try your luck with 2nd hand injectors ? Though I personally think it's likely to be a false economy, from what I've read this type of injector used in these engines are prone to failing. Had I know the price of new injectors at the time I would have tried to get the seller to lower his price even further or even walked away ! Though even after repairing it I still think I got a cheap car at just under £2500 all in.
  4. With it being common rail I don't believe the setting of the fuel pump is that critical and it's not difficult to set them correctly. I've had to do it when I changed the cam belt on my Superb. When these type of high pressure pumps fail quite often it's the bearings start to break up and bits of metal get pumped into the fuel rail and damage the injectors. The only way you will find out if the fuel injectors are okay is to remove them and have them bench tested at a diesel injector specialist. Expect to pay around £25 to have each injector tested. I paid £840 for 4 remanufactured exchange injectors for my 2012 CR170 4x4 Superb. A new fuel pressure regulator is around £25 and easy enough to change ,
  5. May have a hydraulic leak and if it's the slave cylinder then it's going to be a gearbox out job.
  6. IMO opinion and experience it's a waste of time using so called CANBUS compliant bulbs on a Superb MK2 you'll just keep getting bulb error codes. You can't code them to the car with any diagnostic equipment as far as I'm aware. The only way you will get LED bulbs not to give error codes is to use inline resistors so the LED's are drawing the same load as OEM bulbs. These resistors get quite hot and somewhat defeat the purpose of using low energy LED's. This kind of LED bulb with built in resistors will work but the cost is rather expensive compared to the price of a standard feston bulb. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223915296760?epid=28045967395&hash=item34226447f8:g:WDQAAOSwxHRjNBZ7&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8MU27D1F1GBm42eYAPeFJeORja2SBigc7L7L0bR0QAAHt70BilEc6WGQQ%2F1BtzNsIcCzPqPH3O3ylKqIEke%2BYk7FOtGc38YDH6mcPwTFMyimv0Xl8j%2F1lfw8%2B4%2F6D4sAAXwW%2BlPEmXF5OjtKg0mXJiPJ0v1%2B%2F10bb9Meos%2FgjoSZay2Fd56EEWlAipVqeeA6OIHN8A6nIUBQMRNFsPaahp6OgeYODmSalnNuwjWXScu8UzddEu54Jh%2Bn0IebiOVrB1Rr8xSt8fuORpcF3az1Q3fPhdmjfATixbD2XaguLaZfyXmX7WzWeZxMYGcKfXoY8w%3D%3D|tkp%3ABFBMiIXhnq9h
  7. Check the door loom wiring inside the rubber bellows in the hinge area.
  8. I've just been googling and the DSG gearbox DMF's are different to a conventional clutch & DMF. My interest in all this being that my youngest son has just bought a 2007 2.0 TDI A3 with a DSG gearbox which he's having problems with when selecting reverse.
  9. If your car has a DSG gearbox it's going to have a torque converter not a dual mass flywheel and clutch.
  10. How much !!! I'll carry on doing my own repairs ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334433627958?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Cars+Year%3A2012|Model%3ASuperb&epid=249533638&hash=item4dddcc2f36:g:fj8AAOSwuutid2gC&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsNTidAufZgSsVM0XPVWAtevm6YIDG6R8dEjqxRRMsojqq1sySb%2F%2BrhDF8utm8HZY4cdIYsxr%2F%2Fz0GVPdQwPVGtgWmCV4%2BVMpEzJmhD0IbH6Qf1eCjcma8QJd8K2r1U7wzpkwtvMJuRYoP8DsDbXmLimh6ZumXWnegm7xtMZCWKEaJs4QPAyEMIXxgoDnJcO0tl2j%2BTqpw99vfliynZYAyV2MpqZhIgQSyp2DgkjcgeWg|tkp%3ABk9SR_aNs_urYQ
  11. There should be a sticker inside the fuel filler cap telling you what different tyre sizes could fitted to your car I changed the wheels on my 2012 Superb from 225/45 R17 to 205/55 R16, the rolling diameter is the same. I found a set of VW Golf wheels on Facebook Marketplace with 2 year old tyres with very little wear for £150. The center caps where different diameters I bought a set of new center caps with the Skoda emblem for the 16" wheels.
  12. I would imagine the oil pressure regulator is all part of the oil pump assembly in the sump and not likely to be serviceable.
  13. I used the part number for the tailgate struts !
  14. Those listings say they fit my car which has dual climate. But not all listings are correct as I found out monday night when the tailgate dampers I ordered arrived and are the wrong length!!
  15. I don't imagine it makes any difference if the car is dual climate or not. These heater fan motors are common to a lot of other vehicles. I think you will have to remove the glove box to change it ? I've not looked how to remove it on my 2012 Superb but will probably have to change / clean it at some point. If I corner heavily the fan starts to make a noise from the passenger footwell. These are new fans that show as fitting my car which has dual climate control. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254325264592?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Cars+Type%3A2.0+TDI+16V|Plat_Gen%3AMK+II|Cars+Year%3A2012|Model%3ASuperb|Variant%3ADiesel+Estate|Engine%3A1968cc+103KW+140HP+BKD%3BCFFB%3BCLJA|BodyStyle%3AFWD+II+3T5|Variant%3ADiesel+Estate|Engine%3A1968cc+103KW+140HP+BKD%3BCFFB%3BCLJA|BodyStyle%3AFWD+II+3T5&epid=25024242276&hash=item3b36f790d0:g:WCUAAOSw8a5iSyEN&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAABACGrV4G1bureKHDsp1U59Pjxkvlg0fQKl1I1dxWFgZX%2BKUHd40AbYo%2BE6q6QqUk4UF1Z8uNqn52m5eriUjOFMrK2bcMAoMFr2Zke5vWEz2uxAtH0E9B2XJM5B6j1wEeAp4sWb7IEIOfh0aNgid2GCNrUkXviUPpnsIX%2BPXUU2pzn%2F72FZ9R5CvgBjR%2BFn5Xx3xoR8HZuJL4iPexYdxS5EXrhCX3aLTVaM2O0GEYTPOAkFG%2BnqDeQ%2Ff9BXw4zxEsXMwih7PEhRUTuZbpB5pJp8ZjzRQV4bc%2BJPxVUYendMGEI3%2Fnbv08gNgm%2FMTXHPEKHf5xSdDwMAdC7CkDjXxnLUbE%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5C8y_KkYQ https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193788975953?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Cars+Type%3A2.0+TDI+16V|Plat_Gen%3AMK+II|Cars+Year%3A2012|Model%3ASuperb|Variant%3ADiesel+Estate|Engine%3A1968cc+103KW+140HP+BKD%3BCFFB%3BCLJA|BodyStyle%3AFWD+II+3T5|Variant%3ADiesel+Estate|Engine%3A1968cc+103KW+140HP+BKD%3BCFFB%3BCLJA|BodyStyle%3AFWD+II+3T5&hash=item2d1eb91b51:g:o5cAAOSwi3Bfz58T&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAABAGwWJh6teXhmdZOpDKiCG8e2ROPWWv7WyewAub6TCUGpcKstJGUNV9Mh6RAkvsC31C6%2F9ee5bdXfEplbvmMdnMLZ9kckiv7K6uAGGsUbBZq3Vfw2MstMmmBf1qTpjzNCo2y%2FhPmwE3AMizNmdd8qSYathfdiTd1sB%2FmyAQoTEy149KSnUgX%2B9HheswXoxrEjdtrVC8Q1kyPyS2wVVdizbTun3VbqEE2HfgI2z4mbV72Fz0BFJwMBGfOWox4SjB52G40StzGIGjTJmwDjs%2FLujzDg6smlNBEue9kY1C%2FHZWZ209xWYwoXHZznmCPGhD03cAr3GB%2Bdn%2BmAduPrSqru8q0%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5C8y_KkYQ
  16. Facebook Marketplace can be a good source of spares. I found my Superb there for spares or repairs.
  17. £140 fitted ? you can buy a new fan for under £50 on Ebay. The intake to the heater fan is below the windscreen under the bonnet. I took the windscreen wipers off my car the other day and removed the panels under them to access the drain duct and I saw the fan heater intake I doubt very much the fan will come out through there. If the rear heated window isn't work I'd check the earth feed wire inside the rubber gaiter on the off side of the tailgate. I had to peel all the foam of the wire to find it was broken. As with the door wiring looms the cable insulation looses it's elasticity and the wire breaks because of all the flexing in the hinge area.
  18. The fan is inside the car above the passenger footwell. Is your car a saloon or an estate ?
  19. I had been getting water coming into the passenger footwell after heavy rain and especially if I parked with both nearside wheels on the pavement in front of my house. Under the bonnet below the windscreen on the passenger side of the car there is a scuttle drain with an opening close to the bottom of the channel underneath a cover for the heater blower motor. There isn't much depth from the opening to the bottom of the scuttle and I make the assumption because you can't see with the windscreen wiper mechanism covers in place that during heavy rain the channel wasn't emptying fast enough and the excess water was running into the blower motor opening and then into the passenger foot well. The scuttle drain on my 2012 Superb was fairly clean but I found when I took the front wheel arch liners off the car between the wheel arch liners and the bulkhead they were absolutely rammed full with leaves and what looked like black compost so there must have been several years worth. This was stopping the rain water from flowing away fast enough from the scuttle drain. I've hosed away all the debris off the bulkhead and I've not had anymore ingress of water into the car.
  20. I didn't have problems with the scuttle blocking it was clear. It was down between the bulk head and wheel arch liner was totally blocked so the rain water couldn't drain away fast enough.
  21. I never seem to do very well with the search function on the forum? I make the assumption that the Superb MK3 estate body shell isn't significantly different to my MK2 estate? I had been getting water coming into the passenger footwell after heavy rain and especially if I parked with both nearside wheels on the pavement in front of my house. Under the bonnet below the windscreen on the passenger side of the car there is a channel with an opening close to the bottom of the channel underneath a cover for the heater blower motor. There isn't much depth from the opening to the bottom of the channel section and I make the assumption because you can't see with the windscreen wiper mechanism covers in place that during heavy rain the channel wasn't emptying fast enough and the excess water was running into the blower motor opening and then into the passenger foot well. I found when I took the front wheel arch liners off the car between the wheel arch liners and the bodywork they were absolutely caked up with leaves and what looked like black compost so there must have been several years worth. This was stopping the rain water from away fast enough from the drain channel. I hosed the bulkhead clean and I've not had anymore ingress of water into the car.
  22. The loom repair kits are probably the quickest and most effective.. I was between jobs at the time and being a tight arse and bought enough cable to do all 4 doors though I only repaired the front door looms. I took the door cards off.
  23. It's probably not the switch. Check the door loom wiring, the wiring has probably broken and making intermittent contact. It's a common VW / Skoda fault with all the wiring circuits in that area of the loom. Usually the drivers door suffers the most as it's the door which opens and closes the most. The insulation looses it's elasticity becomes brittle then cracks and the copper wire inside works hardens and breaks. There are lots of threads on here about it. There is a door module in both the front doors which control the rear door modules. So if the front window stops working then it's likely so will the rear.
  24. More trouble than it's worth fitting LED's to a Superb IMO you'll just keep getting error messages that the bulbs have blown even when the bulbs are supposed to be CAN BUS compatible.
  25. If it was okay until you changed the battery then it has to be something you've disturbed? Have you checked the wiring to the battery and terminals?
