  1. Interesting find there Tell I guess between now and May (ish) would be interesting for those of us on MIB2/2.5 Standard systems as that would dictate whether we will receive an update or not. Hopefully VAG have reduced to once a year updates before tailing off completely..... but who knows. VAG are now struggling somewhat and are not the powerhouse they once were. The move to "electric" and oversaturation of Eastern Market cars in this market space is having a financial impact on a lot of the traditional automotive powerhouses.
  2. Thanks Tell I have the Amundsen MIB 2.5 in my MK III SSuperb MY2018 I think given the delay in maps being issued coinciding with TMC issues the VAG might be discontinuing updates for our units.
  3. Very true. And this will be a good money earner for VAG (and Skoda) for owners to continue subscribing whereas before with TMC some people may not have subscribed.
  4. Although I am not doubting you and past track record has shown VAG quick to abandon maps for units , the UK market is a big one for them and as all rules are still in place VAG (if they still wish to sell goods and services in the UK) are still obliged by the rules. They can however get out of provision for any pre MIB3 unit by stating third party broke thr service and the units impacted fall into obsolescence.
  5. Skoda have re-released these maps https://infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com/base/maps/STD2_2010_EU1_202325.zip
  6. You may have better luck with the genuine VAG parts. They are a fair bit more expensive, but are better made and fit extremely tight.
  7. That is scary stuff. Was this a genuine VAG accelerator pedal ? Or one of the Ali copies? You have me worried now as fitted genuine VAG pedal covers to my superb 3v5
  8. Today I fitted RHD DSG brushed metal pedals with the following part numbers 5Q2721647A 5Q0723131A The acceleration pedal was extremely tricky to fit. Trick to use hot water to make the rubber soft and a trim removal tool so you can pry it onto the accelerator. The brake was a doddle as just popped off and on. This now has the Sportline/Monte Carlo look
  9. Great work on digging into this guys. My only concern here is if MIB3 is unaffected by this VAG might play the obsolescence card on MIB2.5 and MIB2 when all it would need is a change of configuration to listen to and decrypt INRIX.
  10. Try logging out and then delete the app cache and data and then try logging in again.
  11. Nice work, annoying that did not plan out though. But hopefully it means the VW group could fix this with an update for our maps maybe?
  12. Hopefully the VW group rollout config patch for the sd cards as this does almost smack of VW group playing an obsolescence card and not supporting TMC and instead plug their net subscription services.
