  1. Oh, one of those 'you must read this' BS articles.
  2. No hidden steps, just regular replacement. No need for VDCS or the like.
  3. You realise the issue now is that the dog hair has nothing to stick to and it'll end up in the cabin!
  4. The rusty part in the pics is what attaches the disc to the hub. They all rust. You can rub them down with a flap wheel or even a wire brush and spray them if it really bothers you. Other option is to tell the dealer you want them to sort it.
  5. What's not working? Did you make some coding changes?
  6. They all do that. So long as there's no rust on the discs after a drive it's fine.
  7. But that would mean that I'd have to actually read where I'm posting!
  8. Bear in mind I have a Superb 3v. Don't have to leave the card in for Nav to work.
  9. And yet, when I updated the firmware and the maps in my car a regular SanDisk work just fine.
  10. Serious amount of weights on both sides of that rim so likely the tyre fitter was incompetent! That said, that looks like tyre delamination to me rather than a tracking issue. The perils of a cheap tyre.
  11. Another MOT pass today but only after a fail! Supposedly one of the LED brake lights wasn't working. Mechanic asked which one and of course they were working fine! Seems it was a one man MOT and he was using the mirrors to look for reflections, in bright sunlight!! Timing belt and water pump changed, rear discs and pads changed, whatever service it was due done. I'll adopt the required position when the bill arrives!
  12. Seems I misremembered the timeline, noticed it not long after I got the car and did nothing about it
  13. Had no DAB from when I got the car but it took me several months to notice. VCDS confirmed it was a signal issue so I assumed an aerial had gone kaput so bought a replacement which didn't fix the issue. Then I had a brainfart and decided to check the connections at the rear of the head unit and the DAB wasn't plugged in for some reason. The Fakra is basically the connector https://www.everythingrf.com/search/connectors/filters?page=1&country=global&sconnector_type=;FAKRA;
  14. My DAB issue was solved by removing the head unit and plugging in the Fakra cable that had somehow become dislodged.
  15. Wouldn't be without a dashcam. I was the rear ender a number of years back and the footage proved it was a sub 5mph shunt and the ins co threw out the other party's 'personal injury' claim.
  16. Almost a shame you don't live further south as you could've quite easily raided my tools instead of buying.
  17. Because we were all in the single market adhering to the same rules. Why is that so hard to understand after all these years?
  18. I didn't even look at the ratings Y rated here https://www.camskill.co.uk/m141b0s8784p0/All_Season_-_Four_Season_-_All_Weather_-_Car_MPV_Tyres_-_18_inch_R18_inch_-_225_45_18_225_45R18 (although no Goodyear)
  19. I've got Goodyear Vector 4seasons Gen 3 on my Superb and really rate them. Had Gen 2 on my previous car so all in have been running these tyres for approx 8 years now. I like them so much that I've also put them on the OH's & FiL's cars. TBH, the don't seem extortionate in your rim size https://www.camskill.co.uk/m141b0s8784p0/All_Season_-_Four_Season_-_All_Weather_-_Car_MPV_Tyres_-_18_inch_R18_inch_-_225_45_18_225_45R18
  20. Possible you just need to get a new sensor mount. Take the cover off and see if there's any movement in the sensor at all.
  21. I have aliexpress specials too. Throttle pedal one fell off a few times due to the tight fitting but a decent bit of double sided tape has kept it in place the past 6 months.
