  1. So, fitted the new bracket sometime last month and as expected, no change. No options in VCDS to reset the code despite lots of searches saying it was possible. I'm guessing that VCDS updates have removed that ability. Was beginning to resign myself to have to pay proper money to fix it until I googled once more. Dunno if my search terms were different but I happened upon this thread on ross-tech which I hadn't found before. This post indicated I needed to update VCDS to some sort of 'developer mode' so I did so and then followed the instructions here. Did a 30 mile trip, switched it off an on again and I have ACC & Front Assist all working again. To say I'm a happy b*gger would be an understatement
  2. I've previously bought a spare wheel on here and the seller helpfully wrapped in in plastic and I arranged my own courier. Can't hurt to ask
  3. I'd assume this would do the trick
  4. Thanks Carlston but I want the whole insert as well as the screw.
  5. It may not have been knocked but the plastic may have gone brittle like mine did
  6. There's a pedal box going in the for sale section (nothing to do with me)
  7. Good choice. I've the Gen3 on my Superb since the summer. Had Gen2s on my old Signum previously. I rate them so much that they are on all the cars in this household.
  8. Genuinely, no. If it needs filling it gets filled and I tend not to check the cost or get a receipt. I'll try to remember next time
  9. Over winter I've been getting about 750(ish) miles to a tank before topping up. That said, that's local running around and a bit of motorway. Worst tank I had was about 650 miles just after I installed a tuning & pedal boxes and was just having fun Honestly no clue what my tank capacity is, I just fill it up when required. I do tend to brim it too. Ideally, I'd like to warm up the car, fill up and hit the motorway on my next long trip to see if 1000 is possible.
  10. Can you check from outside the car if any other lights are coming on when the right indicator is on? I'm guessing there's an earthing issue somewhere
  11. Couple of things: 1. within the M25 extended Ulez zone << that doesn't exist. ULEZ covers all the London boroughs and does not extend all the way out to the M25 2. The Superb 3V, late 2015 onwards, should be Euro6 compliant.
  12. TBH, looking at google maps it's a building site so maybe best avoided.
  13. Some have two, some even have a SIM slot
  14. Bilstein themselves maybe? https://www.bilstein-shocks.co.uk/products/20-267537 https://www.bilstein-shocks.co.uk/products/23-254343 Demon Tweaks says they'll be in next week https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/bilstein-b6-damptronic-sport-shock-absorber-bls23-254343/ https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/bilstein-b6-damptronic-sport-shock-absorber-bls20-267537/
  15. File a claim with the local council.
  16. Have you got a copy of the CCTV because if not, that statement is useless. Contact your insurance so they know what's happening. As your car is as good as brand new it might be worth asking about a new car as I know some insurers do that.
  17. I'm assuming you have the other (non) driver's details? If so, phone your insurance and hand it over to them, that's what you pay them for. And no, assuming the other's InsCo accept liability you'll have nothing to pay.
  18. New battery installed which was painless enough. Whilst there I figured I'd remove the radar cover to see if the radar was obviously loose as I haven't had FA or ACC working for a few months. A VCDS scan before Christmas told me it was out of vertical alignment. It wasn't just loose, it was rattling on the mount. There seems to be 3 plastic sleeves (bottom of the photo) on the small adjustment bolts and they've just fallen apart. Can someone confirm that it'd be 3Q0998561 that I'd need to order? I am aware that that is the complete bracket rather than just the part in the picture.
  19. That'd certainly be the most cost effective option as otherwise you're into replacement MIB unit as well as LTE antennae
  20. How do you know the PO had a SIM card installed? The only factory place (that I'm aware of) for a SIM card is in the MIB unit pictured but yours doesn't have a SIM slot.
  21. I had this on my Superb, turned out the DAB aerial wasn't plugged in to the back of the head unit.
