How To - Reverse Camera Fitting Guide
Hi Langers2k, Thanks for your rapid reply. Yes as far as I am aware you have got one coding instruction that i have the screenshot of the relative section below; I did go through 4 or 5 steps but unfortunately due to the new labelling of the some components of the VCDS; then some of them appears different on my car or not available? Even though I have tried it 3-4 times unfortunately no luck! But thanks very much again for your time, effort and rapid reply? Still in need of help to sort this coding business out then the smaller problem is quite unreasonable rear boot lid handle as I explained in my post above. But if I missed some other coding instructions whilst I was reading your posts any direction provided will be much appreciated. Regards

How To - Reverse Camera Fitting Guide
Hello Weyland and Briskoda Community, Help Needed: Rear View Camera Retrofit – Trajectory Lines / Dynamic Lines Not Working Plus the Rear Boot Lid handle does not work Manually. I'm reaching out for guidance on a retrofit project involving the installation of a genuine Highline rear view camera in my 2018 Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI SE L Executive (3V5 Estate). While the camera powers up and displays on the infotainment screen, I'm encountering several issues: No trajectory or dynamic guidelines: Despite attempts to enable them via VCDS, they remain absent. Electrical fault with rear door handle: The handle isn't operable manually, even though current is supplied from the fuse box, suggesting a potential wiring or module issue. Fault code: VCDS reports a "Missing Message" error (U1121 00 [00001001]), indicating a communication problem with the trailer module (Oldbit-monitoring Gateway_72.Anhaenger_01_alt). Camera Details: Part Number (printed): 566827566 Alternative OEM Part Number: 5Q0 980 556 B Hardware Version: H18 0231 Software Version: V03935342ZE 0001 Type: Genuine OEM Highline camera Vehicle Details: VIN: TMBKH7NP9K7013548 Registration Number: MJ68 YGP I've double-checked the VCDS coding sections but couldn't find specific instructions for retrofitting a Highline reversing camera to a Skoda Superb 3V5 Estate. This section of the forum has got a good usable information but in my case; I could not use it too much as my problem is related to the coding of the Genuine Skoda Camera. Fitting was very easy and I finished it within 4 hours. If anyone has experience with this retrofit or can offer advice on the necessary coding steps, wiring configurations, or module adaptations, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards, Maz

Fuse Box Layout and fuse boxes for Accessories [Superb Mark 3]
2018 (68) Skoda Superb Mark 3 (3V5) Combi Hi all, If anyone knows; could you please indicate or mark the fuse/s shown below on the screenshot of the fuse box of my superb mark 3 (68 reg) That is, Skoda superb 2.0 TDI SE L executive. When I checked; the fuse box of my superb; almost all of the fuses in the fuse box showing live (without ignition switched on)? I need an accessory fuse slot in order to connect my reversing camera live wire? But I am a bit puzzled? I would like to thank all of the members of the forum in advance who would be able to direct me to the right fuse by marking it with a red cycle etc? Regards

- Pressure sensor or not ? Glow plugs
Hi Breezy_Pete, Thanks very much for your time and effort in order to identify my Skoda superb’s (3v5) Glow plug with pressure sensor? i really appreciate it and once again I do thank you.- Pressure sensor or not ? Glow plugs
Hi, I have got the same issue with my Skoda superb 3v5. I.e. I need the glow plug with the pressure sensor and the chassis number of my car is: TMBKH7NP9K7013548 any help would be appreciated if someone can supply the right part number? On eBay; 04L 905 061C is advertised as the compatible one? But some eBay sellers are advertising the par number as 03L 905 061C So I am a bit confused which one to go for? Thanks in advance.- Echo in the car when passengers speak
Hi there, I am having the same issue but at much more higher volume? Even when the windows are open I can hear the wind blowing eco in the car. could you please tell me how to turn echoing function off? regards maz- Rear Shocks OEM
Hi Crasher, Is there any possibility for you to check my Skoda Superb EState 3V5 (reg no: MJ68 YGP) rear SHOCK ABSORBERS and FRONT and REAR brake discs part numbers? I have seen that you have tried to help with user "Shugmo's" cart part number. I would like to tahnk you in advance for the help. If it is absolutely necessary I will be more than happy to provide you with the WIN number? Regrads Maz- New look heated steering wheel retrofit
Hi there, sorry I didn’t want to go ahead with the conversion anymore. Because it was not worth to waste €200 in order to have a little function and just a simple wire for the sake of heated steering wheel . So I reverted back to the previous SW. cheers 👋- Change skin of virtual cockpit to "rs style"
Hi Gizmo, I have got a few little issues with a retrofitted virtual cockpit; 1- The colour of my retrofitted VC onto my late 2018 (68 reg) Skoda Superb SE L (DSG) is not as vibrant as the original factory fitted one? Is there any reason for this (my VC is a Chinese manufactured one). Please see screenshots below; 1 of them related to quality of the colour and the second one has a horizontal colour slider; I don’t think that my car has got this function as this is something to do with the ambient light function of the car. By the way the first 2 photos are copied from Google and the rest is my VC’s photos. 2- Could you please advise me how to change the skins if the virtual cockpit dials by using the VCDS? 3- Is there any coding to increase the the intensity of the lights on my dull looking virtual cockpit other than the adjustment on the main screen which are almost to the highest level? Thank you fir your help in advance. I also I do thank you those knowledgeable people who will be providing info about the little issues above? Cheers Guys- Mib 2.5 retrofit
Hi There, Someone told me the other way around. Thanks very much for correcting this point. I really appreciate your correction. Cheers- Mib 2.5 retrofit
Thanks for doing so good resident member whose responses do not comply with his forum status…..- Mib 2.5 retrofit
Hi ApertureS, Could you please let me know how much is the cost of retrofitting fitting of the Virtual cockpit as well as reverse camera then once I am free to come down I will do so as long as the retrofitting price for those two item in question above is reasonable? Of course I trust your professionalism since you are the first person to give detailed information about this retrofitting in details? I strongly believe that you understood me wrong? Because I wanted to run the cables/wires without removing the glovebox so that it is simply having a good ample space for me to work and run the wires and cables through? But I also wanted to check back of the main screen as I was told to use a triangular MOST Wires (you also stared this MOST cable 2 females and 1 male) by others me thinking that 1 plug goes and connects to the main unit in the glove box, second one connects to the MIB 2.5 then third one connects to the virtual cockpit? This was my assumption but, in your latest post you made it clear that there is no connection to be made to the MIB 2.5 (main screen) Obviously now it is clear that this is not the case? Could you please reply this as a PM and opening hours of your work shop and address of it? As well reasonable price for fitting these two items; 1- my own reverse camera supplied by myself (bought from China as HIGHLINE one. Not the cheap one)? Plus I bought a Chinese VC as you stated that they are perfectly okay you fitted a few and you have not experienced anything bad so far? So, waiting for your reply as a private message to my inbox? I really appreciate your effort you have already to put into this matter and still trying to do so and I do thank you in advance for your cooperation and help😊 with my best regards- Mib 2.5 retrofit
Hi Jr rs, what you have written here in the forum is reflection of who you are. So I do thank you for your statement. Nobody asked your views about this? whatever has been mentioned by ApertureS has been taken on board and noted. Please don’t worry about others too much with your premature mind? If you need to do so; please look in the mirror and whoever you see in the mirror worry about him.😂 Moreover, I am clever enough to achieve a first class masters degree in Pharmacy.- Mib 2.5 retrofit
Hi Swenk, could you please let me know the details information about how to remove the main unit (MIB 2.5) as you have retrofitted it? i need to remove mine in order to run a most cable/wire behind it or need to run/connect triangular MOST cable behind it? I removed the 5F unit from its location by using the compatible keys (even though I did not disconnect the quad lock plug from the behind of the 5F ; but even I’d so there was no space to put your hand through in order to run any wires/cables behind the main unit without dismantling it? So I really appreciate your help if you provide me how to take the MIB 2.5 screen out from the dashboard? SK that I can run the wires/cables behind it comfortably? thanks for your cooperation and help on this matter. Maz- Mib 2.5 retrofit
Good morning ApertureS, Thanks very much for the effort you are trying to put in and your advice? advice? I am sorry to let you know that the new touch screen ones; (the buttonless ones) a bit more complicated than it seems; on the examining the full screen I have only found two holes on the base (bottom protruding parallel edge) of the main unit and tried to insert the compatible removing keys into the holes; but it looks like the only holes on the bottom (base surrounding) does not take any part of the compatible keys? It looks like they are blocked for some reason? so far I have been searching for the proper removal instruction of this main screen located in the middle of the console unfortunately could not find anything? People /users claim that these screens are removed in the same manner; but this is not true to be honest? maybe someone with proper ETKA repair info can advise us? As for the running MOST cables/wires behind this unit is extremely difficult plus I believe that triangular MOST cable inserted on the back of the unit? If the main unit is not connected to the currently fitted traditional digital cockpit (note this is not the virtual cockpit) ? So, I am still stuck in the dark for this point? The users of this forum reading this post; please direct me to the right person who could be experienced forum user or a professional engineer/ technician who can do this fir be at the reasonable cost as well as retrofitting my own (already purchased HIGHLINE reverse camera? The experienced forum user (who carried four similar task) or the professional who will be retrofitting my Virtual cockpit and reverse camera will be local to Manchester M13 area and will be charging a reasonable fee? Otherwise there are more than 6-7 workshops who are willing to fit these at extremely high cost which are not acceptable? Anyone with a good experience in fitting these two parts or forum users with a pice of info about the fitters or themselves are experienced fitters are invited to carry out these two retrofitting? We will discuss the cost and arrangement of venue for the work to be completed? I do thank you in advance for all of your valuable advice and help on this matter Regards- Mib 2.5 retrofit
Hi ApertureS, Thanks very much for your rapid reply. 1. I know how to remove 5F unit in the glowbox, 2. I don’t think that I have got canton amplifier (I think this should be located under the passenger seat which is free from amplifier, 3. Instrument cluster can be dismantled easily; I have no problem with this with this either, 4. TV tuner I don’t know if my vehicle has got this function? Could you please direct me to the link IF THERE IS ANY DIAGRAMS or screenshots ABOUT HOW TO DISMANTLE THE MAIN SCREEN Because I was told by the engineer/technician who will be carrying out the adaptation and coding I need to run the triangular MOST wire behind the main screen?- Mib 2.5 retrofit
Good morning Swenk, could you please give me the detailed instruction as how to dismantle MIB2.5 main infotainment system? Because with the help of technician I will be fitting my virtual cockpit fitted? But it looks like the MIB 2.5 central info system in my 68 skoda superb is embedded into the relative parts or connections which I could not work out in order to reach the back of the Main screen and I need to attach my Triangular MOST fibre optic cable? By looking around the mains screen I can see any access point in order to dismantle it? I am a newbie here obviously maybe taking it out is not so difficult but I don’t know how and where to begin with what tools I need to try to get into dismantling it totally mystery since it is embedded into the dash quite good and I can not see any starting point? Urgent help needed needed since it is my duty to dismantle all the units and make it ready for the coding /adaptation engineer/technician ready? please please do reply this message at your earliest if possible as we will be fitting the virtual dash soon so the 3 components need to be wired to each othe by using the most cable (triangular shape most cable; one comes from the main radio/Sat nav unit which is located in the glowbox compartment ; I can take this easily with the keys? But as it comes to the MIB central display dismantling I am totally alien? Don’t know anything which trims to be removed in order to reach to some screws maybe (this is my own assumptions? Any help from forum members highly appreciated and will be thanked numerously for the full instruction of that is possible with the photos or screenshots of the dismantling or retrofitting both will help. I do thank you all of the forum members even though I addressed this to Swenk? I am sure that there are forum members here they know inside out of this task and carry out dismantling or refixing the MIB 2.5 screen with a breeze. Once again I do thank, all of you irrespective whether you help me or not? With my best regards Maz- How to: Retrofit Virtual Cockpit
Hi there Thanks very much for your scintillation fast reply. So do you suggest me that I can go for a Chinese version and there is no functionality differences between 3V0720790 and 3VD920790? if there is no differences between these 2 functionality wise it would better to go for the Chinese ones since there is a huge price differences? I have seen that a few enthusiasts have gone for the chine version of the VC. Also, do I still need these MOST optical wires with my canton system instead of COLUMBUS? I think my car is slightly different than the 17 registered ones? what do you think? Once again I do thank you for your valuable information on my diction making process? Regards Maz- How to: Retrofit Virtual Cockpit
HI Tin82, I have got a 68 UK registered Skoda Superb estate; thinking to fit a Virtual cockpit like yourself? My car is equipped with a Canton system? Do I still need the MOST optical wires? Also, I would like to ask you if there is any differences between the Virtual cockpit OEM Part number 3V0920790, 790A and 3VD920790?I know that the 3VD920790 is being manufactured in China and maybe marketed for Certain Countries but why it is cheaper the the CZ and German made ones? I thought that there must be functional restrictions most probably? Or if both of them (i.e. 3V0920790 and 790 A CZ or German made ones are exactly same with the China Made 3VD920790 ones functionality wise Why there is almost £1000 pricfe difference? Can you please shead some lights onto these points that I outlined above? I would like you to thank you in advance for your help and information. I do also thank you to the other group members who will be shedding some lights on these points? With my best Regards Maz- MFSW with Heating & Gear Shift Paddles Retrofitting to a late 2018 Skoda Superb III DSG Estate)
Thanks ChrisCh, I am still looking for a reasonably priced airbag for the steering wheel I bought? I need an airbag with an OEM no: 5E 880 201K IZY? There are a few available on the website but the prices a bit salty? Regards Maz- New look heated steering wheel retrofit
Hi ZaDaMan72, I am in the same boat? I bought the steering wheel of a Octavia 4 with the same function as you described above? I was told that everything else would be working on my Skoda Superb 3V (late 2018 it is 68 reg car?) but I was told that it would be very difficult to get the steering wheel heating button to work? I am not sure what parts we need to change in order to get the heating system on the steering wheel working? could you please tell me where did you get the parts lists? Other than the steering wheel and airbags? I think airbag should be 5E3 880 201K IZY? I am not sure if the last 3 digits need to be matching; I don’t know what function/s the airbag adds to the steering wheel? My steering wheel part no: 5E 959 542G. what I was told about heated steering wheel work by a VAG, SEAT, SKODA retrofitted technician located in Israel called Yuriy is as follows; “For the steering wheel heating to work, this is a completely different story, you need a steering column unit, a climate unit, wiring and coding” obviously I am not sure if the above statement is true or not? But I just wanted to pass you as an extra info; as I am trying to do the same retrofit? Anyway if you get any new info or make any progress forward, just let me know please? It is better to share info about the retrofitting and helping out each other? regards Maz- MFSW with Heating & Gear Shift Paddles Retrofitting to a late 2018 Skoda Superb III DSG Estate)
Hi There, thanks for the reply and useful information. Even though my car has been built MQB platform; I will take your word for it and forget my desire for the new steering wheel then. with my best regards maz- Virtual Cockpit Retrofit with Columbus and Canton
Hi again, Thanks for replying and assisting me with this task/little project. I will check my Kroger and make my location visible if I can. sorry as you can see from my bases I am a newbie here in this forum and don’t have much knowledge about these car electronics? Regards- MFSW with Heating & Gear Shift Paddles Retrofitting to a late 2018 Skoda Superb III DSG Estate)
Dear Experienced Users/Members, I have gota 2018 (October 2018) skoda superb 2.0 TDI SE L Executive Euro 6 S/S (Estate). Originally it came with a non-paddle shift MF steering wheel? Now, I bought a Skoda Octavia VRS (MY2020?) MFSW with heating and ACC and Cruise control buttons? I want to retrofit it to my Skoda Superb? I have read it somewhere here in this forum that my Car needs to have the Same Can Gateway? Hoping that this is not the case in my case as the info I read was related to an earlier Model of the Skoda Superb. I am attaching the old (or currently fitted) MF Steering whel photo here as well as the New One that I am intending to retrofit to my skoda superb. I am sure that I can do the Physical fitting (i.e. Swapping them over) . 1) I would like to find out if the intended steering wheel buttons can all be activated on my car? If not what kind of other parts or modifications that I need to buy and do? 2) What kind of VCDS coding needed for the retrofit? 3) I am not sure about the wiring harnesses if they are compatible? The Skoda Octavia Steering wheel that I bought is coming from Germany? So might be different wiring harnesses? Or additional harnesse/s need to be bought? I need help from those experiened users or from those who have done the similar retrofitting in the past? I am sorry to let you know that I am complete Nwbie? Hence I need as much help as possible? I would like to thank you all of you in advance who reads this post and trying to answer this query. With my Best regards - Pressure sensor or not ? Glow plugs
