You could be the first to post a photo of a L & K on this Forum and I am sure we will all be looking forward to it. We would also like a close up of the wheels to confirm if the wheel centres are of the latest logo style. Sure you will enjoy it, best of luck with your 1000 miles try out

Agree with you totally Graham, but I have just upgraded my phone to a Samsung S3 with Android. You can get Co-Pilot for £19.00 including updates, Traffic and speed cameras. The directions as well as your telephone contacts etc. comes through the Bolero speaker system, it works so well and a good price too

I must be to blame for your Isle of Skye problems as well. The last time we were up there in late May 2010 it actually snowed as we went over the top and after four days of rain, howling winds sleet and then snow we decided to call it a day and return south, perhaps I brought the crap weather from your area to us softies in the East of England. Sadly for our friends in Wales, we are holidaying in Mid Wales this June so prepare for the worst

It's not global warming or the jet stream that has brought all this bad weather and cold to the UK. My Mrs. blames me and the Panoramic Sun Roof in our Yeti fot it. After the persuasion of spending the money and me pointing out the use we would get from it,well so far it has not been opened on any of our journeys. Maybe I should drive fifty miles with the roof fully open and freezing myself to death to lay the curse to rest and we may get some Spring like temperatures.................My apologies to everyone

The 1.2 with DSG drives like a 50k car around town, it is adequate for motorways unless you are an overtaking freak, but for an old un like me, the gearbox and the silent running around the city streets makes it the small engine ideal

I had a similar problem with our Octavia when around 17 months old, bubbles started appearing on the tailgate which showed no signs of stone chipping. The excuse was some mosture was trapped between the undercoat and final paint and it was eventually replaced with a new panel and repainted. It was very disturbing at the time but it did not come back and all the other panels apert from real stone chips stayed bubble free. I am keeping a close eye on the Yeti, so far I have been lucky as the only stone to hit the front missed the bodywork and caused a slight chip/mark on the windscreen

Our Octavia is on variable as I can cover 25k per year with it, but the Yeti which I assume will only do around 8k per year is on fixed. I would assume on a small yearly mlilage the service will still be a neccessary due to contamination of oils etc. over the 12 month period. I also got a three x free service deal, and if on variable would probably only see one sevice over the three years

Possible Yorkshire Wolds Monster mini meet idea brewing; interested
jonceebee replied to The Plumber's topic in Skoda Yeti
Saturday 13th is fine, looking forward to meeting you all -
When I purchased our Octavia a few years ago I ordered a Black Magic Touch Up Pen. There was a paper sticker over it I peeled it back and it revealed a painted on Audi cicles logo and the colour was Audi Volcano Black, I would bet the snob value of buying this identical paint from Audi would have been around 40% higher in cost than the re-labelled Skoda part. It makes you wonder what other parts the Audi owners are being ripped off for when they could find a cheaper Skoda alternative.

Our Octavia blades failed due to being frozen to the screen, In future I will lift them free before switching on the ignition and the auto wipe kicking in. The poor old girl has not been used to frost always being garaged, but she has been pushed outside since Yeti's arrival and she does not like it.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Count me in, look forward to it -
Good idea, I am up for a meet and the wolds when the weather improves sounds a good idea. Lets try and fill a car park somewhere with other Yorkshire Yet owners

Here is mine without all the dirt, driving around Hull every day, look forward to you and Jock spotting me and waving

Thanks for the info and you seem happy with Nitrogen and there is obviously an advantage in keeping pressures over a period of time. I have noted a previous post regarding the ride being compromised on the 17" wheels do you have any comments to confirm this?
-
I got a discounted Lifeshine pre delivery and have added a Colanite Wax on top, I must admit after my doubts of the cost I am almost convinced it was worth it. Especially as our dog decided to throw up on the rear carpet on his first journey and the carpet protector did a great job of keeping it all on the surface and easily cleaned off

Finally managed to work out a larger picture. One of the items you missed from the list was the black B pillar add ons. I think on darker coloured cars they look good and match the other black pillar parts exactly
-
I personally cannot see an advantage then as you may need a top up every three months which would entail shelling out £40 per year alone. I can't see £40 being saved via fuel unless I am totally mistaken. It's an interesting subject anyone who has Nitrogen on board any comments?
-
What is the cost of having Nitrogen added to your tyres, and does this offset any possibilities of fuel saving costs, I doubt it, but would be interested to know. Finally do you need to keep going back to tyre dealers to have a top up or do you just dilute it with normal air when the pressure drops Sorry about that just noticed the £2.50 per wheel, answers to the second question would be appreciated

I actually recieved a six page flyer from them only this morning detailing the merger with D Keith Group. Appareently Royce Roberts is staying as head of the Hull division. I don't know much about Keith's but they now have six outlets in Yorkshire

Something I could do with on my YTeti, I can't see hardly of the original colour at present

Hello Jock I recognise that car park picked my Yeti up there a few days before Christmas last year. It's Royce Roberts Hull, I have photos on the forum in almost the same spot. I was tempted with the white as they look so good but the Rosso Brunello swayed me in the end.Best of luck with the new one

Thanks for that Martin I will keep a look out and be at the next one

I questioned that when I looked to buy and was assured the kit I got was for cars. It will repair holes up to 1/4 inch and their USA site actually claims you can continue running on it without a proper repair although personally I would limp to a tyre centre straight away. This is the actual manufacturers site where they say suitable for car tyre repairs http://www.dynaplug.com/ I think on a cold or rainy night on a busy road it adds a little security
