  1. Thanks for the info Martin unfortunately I will be in Coventry overnight on Wednesday. How can I find out about forthcoming meetings?, I will happily bring along a mate for yours at the next meeting
  2. Are you going to put the sticker on your rear Bob? or is it alraedy there? It's a bit small for me to see.
  3. I know how you feel, I have always had vehicles with spare wheels and I am concerned the gunk will not do it's job, and from earlier commemts, when used, could mean shelling out for a new tyre. I purchased one of these from ebay. Apparently pull out nail/screw. Find repair size nearest size of hole, dip in the solution, push into tyre, it then expands a little and seals the hole. Hope I do not have to try it, but I feel a little more secure. Link as follows: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dynaplug-Tubeless-Tyre-Repair-Kit-for-MOTORCYLE-MOTORBIKE-SCOOTER-QUAD-/110935138117?ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160
  4. Enjoying myself so much on this forum, I have thrown in my £12 as well. Look forward to wearing the sticker in my rear screen when it arrives and hopefully some members may notice it and flash their lights at my rear
  5. Just tried mt wife's I-Phone and you are right it does not show the tracks on the Bolero screen. The Android system does something the I-Phone cannot, I am impressed. With 64GB on my HTC and I have only used 22GB for music, Radio Four Plays etc. with much more to add. I can't wait to rub my Mrs. nose in it, she always claims the I-Phone is the Bee's Knees, well the Androud system must be the dogs B******s then
  6. Yes it does, both my HTC One and Samsung S3 connect via Bluetooth and show the titles on the screen which you can touch pause, forward, reverse etc. Only thing missing is the charge which I do via a retractable USB micro cable adaptor in the centre console cig lighter socket
  7. Did Skoda actually source a better quality badge for replacement, if so they have obviously not cured the problem, or the dealer fitted an old stock one as the replacement. Either way not good for you, time to contact Pastyboy and replace with the new style Gel bage me thinks.
  8. Couldn't agree more as this style of radio must have been available before I took delivery of my 2013 model. If it is a software upgrade they should offer it as a flash upgrade like they do on mobile phones/computers etc. when an upgrade becomes available. Unless of course it is a non flashable chip in there some where. How can we find out?
  9. Yes I would be in for the same items as you, rear badge and steering wheel, if you would be good enough to add me to the list. I am suprised no one running the forum has not bought a number of the raer ones and supplying them from the shop they would probably make a good profit on them. How did you get un touch with PastyBoy?
  10. Well done these look great, where did you get them from?
  11. Yes mine has the sound proofing which was a bit of a suprise not only to me but the dealers as well. I was advised this item seems to be hit and miss, some have and some do not, and as I mentioned on one of my earlier comments on another post. There seems to be more sound proofing under the carpets as well. I am not sure if this is also hiit and miss
  12. Strkes me there is a lot of us "old uns" buying Yeti's and like me also using the pension pot to buy. Bobdog, I would not worry the slightest about your mileage etc. the Yeti will go on for years. I still have my almost seven years old Octavia 152k on the clock and apart from servicing, part of the exhaust, tyres and a new battery has not had a day off the road. As I still use this for caravaning and load carrying,( being an estate,) I assume my Yeti doing far less mileage, and me now retired could actually see me out. Enjoy your boat seems a good relaxing hobby to keep you young.
  13. My December 2012 model also has the dark grey/black colour in the engine and under bonnet area. I can't see any disadvantage to it as it is well covered in paint. I assume Skoda must have a reason as to why they do this, but I would not let it worry you in any way
  14. I have also noted that my brother in law's 2010 Yeti has much less sound proofing material under the carpets as my Dec 2012 has, probably confirms Jezzep's comments earlier regarding less road noise. Perhaps they have fitted the carpet removed from the boot sides underneath................Only joking!!, and yes I agree the single tail pipe especially when fitted with the chromed add on really looks the part, sporty and makes it look much more than a 1.2 from the back
  15. This once happened to me in my railway photography days when I was allowed to use the facilities at Brocklesby signal box. Having to go into the depths of the box under platform level I found I could not open the door and not a chance of anyone heariing. Luckily I had a friend who came looking and managed to assist in opening the door
  16. I have noticed the inside of my 1.2 DSG petrol cover states use Super Unleaded fuel as the normal. Is there any real advantage of using this? ie:more miles per gallon, better acceleration or what ever. I can't see the advantages of paying more without getting something back in return
  17. Be careful on the Elegance model, as there is a raised box already under the drivers seat which contains the GSM telephone stuff I believe, I would say there is only about45/50mm clearance from the top of the cover to the seat and with it also being plastic everything will slide off it and under your feet on heavy braking As mentioned earlier the passenger seat already has a drawer in place.
  18. Oh and I forgot to mention the stainless steel inserts on the main grill which glue into the vertical fins. As there are around 20 of these inserts, make sure you fit them one at a time from the card holders as they will be a pain to fit if they are all removed from the packaging and mixed up. Well worth it as they look good with the sun shining on the grill
  19. Nearly 10 out of 10 The lower grill trims are stainless steel otherwise all correct. Door handle covers are stainless as well. I also have stainless cup holder suround (not shown) and extra chrome around the climatronic controls. The reason for the small pics is I have had to import them fom Picaso. In the past I have used the URLs from Flickr but for some reason when I inport as an image I only get a red cross and no photo. Does anyone know why this happens and is there any way of enlarging the Picaso photo's as they are full size on their site
  20. With my Yeti being delivered on the 18th December everyone in the family bought me some form of add on accessory. Now we have a clean car at last I thought I would show some of the results. Good and not so good comments welcome
