I've asked for the day off, so we shall see. I'd like to be there.

I had this recently, turns out it was a bolt that had fallen out and the sensor had moved slightly. Gave it a bit of a wiggle and it seems to be okay now. Still missing the bolt but I have a spare sensor to go in when/if I need it. VCDS or code reader should be able to tell you which wheel.

You gonna do it? Let me know the cost.

hardcorehobbit replied to TeflonTom's topic in Off Topic Chat
That is a daily occurrence for me, every a time a bus slows down people try to go round, regardless of what I'm doing.... -

Oddly, it's always around universities where the road isn't designed to be as smooth flowing as it could be. Like it was an afterthought. -

Have seen them use both grids. And both pit lanes. One for lmp and one for gt. Pretty good idea tbh. -
VRS squeaky clutch pedal
hardcorehobbit replied to Supacool1's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
My clutch was creaking badly and the bite point was near the top of the pedal. Replaced clutch and pipework for slave cylinder which failed as the car went in to the workshop. Could be worth doing a clutch, or upgrading if your car isn't standard? -

Never had mine on a rolling road. Shall hopefully see how it goes. 1) andsoutham - Fabia vRS/Octavia vRS (whatever takes my fancy on the day) 2) jars - I'll be in the silver one (not 100%, but very tempted) 3) Hyphons Citigo "vRS" 4) BJB540 MK1 Octavia vRS (not fake vRS like the guy above me) 5) Niceyellow vrs - MK1 Octavia VRS 6) Updown789 - MK2 Seat Leon 1.9 TDI 7) mushtafa - MK1 Octavia VRS 8) V6TDI - MkIII Octavia vRS TSI (will be interested to see what difference a year makes) 9) mk4gtiturbo - mk3 Octavia vRS TDI or something else 10) HardcoreHobbit - mk1 Octy vrs

The Croctavia, Outofthi5world's Octy track car
hardcorehobbit replied to Outofthi5world's topic in Octavia Projects
Ds2500 or ds3000 are good. Not cheap for either though. If you're only on track, doesn't make sense to buy anything but track tyres. Federal rsr or nankang ns2r both a good shout. -
Pistonheads Skoda Sunday Service 17/07/2016
hardcorehobbit replied to octyal's topic in Big Shows & Events
So SUK don't acknowledge we are around as a large owners community or put stuff on for us, but they will do a PistonHeads.com meet. Shame I can't make it tbh, would be been fun. -

If anyone hits the wall around turn 8 or 9, the whole track will be blocked. Hopefully be a new classic race in the making. -

Don't know if I will make it, working a late one that day. Save while I can before mortgage payments kill me. -
I thought I'd done rather well, despite missing qualifying picks. Turns out everyone else did better.

Used my phone to pay in a hungry horse. Literally unlocked it to home screen and tapped the card reader.
