  1. B pillar on driver or passenger door opening normally with the weights.
  2. "So as recommended, put in some Forté Diesel System Cleaner and really tuned up. Up and down the M4, 2nd gear up to 50mph, third up to 70mph. Basically on the red line (4.5 revs). In total today it has had about a two hours such driving over a four hour period, but this could only get the result down to 1.3." Did you put the full bottle in and how much fuel was in at the time? My Mot tester told me to put a full bottle in half a tank when it failed and it always passed afterwards. I don't think you are far away from passing it's only 0.5 away and you dropped it 1.5 the first time you did it so another similar run could be enough. Don't forget to check the air filter too. I think you are a long way from needing to scrap it.
  3. Different Car brand but same problem. This poster eventually passed. https://forums.mbclub.co.uk/threads/mot-emissions-fail-plate-limit-used.266241/
  4. I have fact checked myself just now and i appear to have given a US and EU figure UK stats ignore Cars pre 1994?
  5. The average age of a used car on the road today is twelve so maybe in 16 years time when the average age has probably reached 16 the majority will be ev The Government will possibly have to step in and cap the resale price of electricity to secure interest from the many who cannot charge at home.
  6. I wonder if Will Shu would want it
  7. When setting up the card, things to consider Files that are protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology can- not be played back by Infotainment. After formating the card create a folder on it and put your music in the folder as described by @PetrolDave above
  8. It is no surprise that a Number plate recognition camera records number plate data. Helpful for the Police if someone sees a car leaving the scene of a crime maybe? Maybe useful should your car be stolen?
  9. A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) chief is calling for officers to be given full access to the network of cameras installed for enforcement of the Clean Air Zone (CAZ). Over 400 ANPR cameras were erected ahead of the planned implementation of the charging zone in May 2022, which was then delayed and the future of which is still uncertain. Police can access information and images from the cameras which has already provided evidence in five murder cases, six gun incidents, two stabbings, four fatal crashes amongst others. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/greater-manchesters-clean-air-zone-26145014
  10. The Government have always had "think tanks" that have worked on and created projects for consideration. It does not mean they were ever going to happen. Someone leaking information normally does it for nefarious or scare mongering goals. But they get away with it because once the scheme is thought of and presented to be considered the Government or Councils cannot deny that it was given consideration. Even if it was dismissed out of hand as unworkable. Maybe though one day these schemes could be financially cheaper than current payments paid as they go up with inflation. Cameras for tolls on Tunnels/bridges/congestion charge/ulez are there too save "staffing" them with booths which would cost more to collect. Many cameras around the country are for traffic management and controlling flow.
  11. Second month stats from the car 224mile @ 2.7m/kwh = 82.96 kw? x 25.01p = £20.74 although my meter readings suggest we have used 73kw more than this period last year = £18.26 My Mondeo averaged 35 mpg = 6.4gallon or 28.8litres @ £1.327 = £38.22 Long term guessometer now reset. Stat from the GOM the car has been on for 20.46 hours and averaged 11mph. This last week has seen daily use of pre-heating the cabin to avoid scraping ice off which the figures confirm the affect on range, on the short trip to work the trip indicator is only just reaching 2m/kw by the time i get home. But it is rising up from 1.5m/kw so if the journey was longer it would rise more?
  12. I access my insurance with an app . But you have to phone to change the car. When i changed my car in September my policy details changed whilst i was on the phone giving them the details,
  13. Car makers should stick to advertising what they are known for.
  14. Having to keep uncoupling would be a pain and a potential security issue. But the right car can do 140miles
  15. I wonder if anyone will eventually share the details about "How much does it cost"?
  16. So 1800kg with the trailer?
  17. Harry was towing a trailer with a car in it which is probably up to it's limit of 2,000kg maybe even over. He also went up and down a stretch of road and not on a sustained journey. A caravan usually is expected to be up to half the range.
  18. I thought V2/v3 cannot be used by other brands anyway it's only V4 ? Car manufacturers networks are exempt from the regulations
  19. Porsche dealers have already put a note on their chargers about no longer being open to other brands according to a well known youtube blogger
  20. Cannot see how CPS are going to be exempt but Tesla will be because they can decide to make theirs Tesla only. I don't think there are any other manufacturers who can claim that apart from chargers sited at Car dealerships. Maybe a stay of execution will be put in place in the next week? and the rules will be changed to "new installations" but they have had 1 years notice already. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-public-charge-point-regulations-2023-guidance/public-charge-point-regulations-2023-guidance I wonder if they could install a payment machine for use of the spaces and charge a rate per hour with "free vend" but it would be open to abuse?
