  1. When you have sub-folders the trick is to put one track outside. Then press shuffle whilst that is playing So the structure would be Main folder "Music" one loose track Then Folders by artist or genre or album but with no folders within the second set of folders Music >single track folder folder So if the display is like the one in the link above Music would be what is in the top bar of the screen (A) when you press shuffle Not absolutely certain because i do not have that unit, but that is how my card is structured and it works that way in my car.
  2. Could there be too many in the one folder. Are all the tracks mp3, the Amundsen unit will not play Windows media audio files with DRM protection. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/847498/Skoda-Amundsen.html?page=21#manual Another possibility is that it always plays randomly but weirdly in the same order each time it starts up. I drive a Mercedes minibus that plays the stick randomly but if i stop the engine, when i start up i hear the same songs again, I have to press skip a few times to get it to move on.
  3. The folder structure of the music may not be set up in the way the stereo system expects so it is ignoring some folders? Did it shuffle correctly in the mk2?
  4. Vehicle Identification Number Modern cars have them visible through the windscreen
  5. You may find this series of DVSA videos useful
  6. Thank you it's a shame his comparison at the end is slightly flawed The airstream 534 and Navaro combination. The airstream weighs 1645kg with payload included puts 1800kg compared to the caravan he ended up towing in the video His miles per kw relies on a significant amount "free" and the price of diesel has dropped Public ev charging https://www.carwow.co.uk/guides/running/cost-of-running-an-electric-car Taking that into account the figures are not so impressive and adding in the messing about unkooking to charge i am not sure it would be enjoyable. I think i will wait for better infrastructure before going full ev Still tempted by a mhev or phev though if i can find one?
  7. I believe the Rimac Nevera holds the Nurburgring lap record for a production electric car, with a time of 7min 5sec to complete a full lap of the 20.6km circuit.
  8. Good article from Camping and caravan club here regarding European directive EC 94/20. and the subsequent ECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) Regulation 55. "The towbar must attach to the vehicle using dedicated mounting points provided by the manufacturer. A further requirement is that the towball must be in a specified position in relation to those mounting points and not the height from the ground. It is up to the vehicle maker to ensure the towball positioning meets the regulatory requirements." https://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/advice/equipment/towbars-and-towing-electrics/ For clarification i am not saying that after market tow bars cannot be fitted.
  9. Apologies: I always believed it to be illegal because you used to fail your Driving test if you did it. But there is a little bit of legislation if you happen to have an accident and it;s proven to be the cause. https://www.leaseloco.com/blog/the-potential-fines-and-vehicle-damage-of-coasting-in-neutral But there is no specific offence.
  10. He was PM from 2019 until 2022 He was PM when the above statement was made is what i said, 18/11/2020
  11. Boris was PM in November 2020? Shapps and Sharma made the statement about 2030 https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-takes-historic-step-towards-net-zero-with-end-of-sale-of-new-petrol-and-diesel-cars-by-2030
  12. The CO2 is what is stated to be contributing to Climate change though. The NOx is regarding Breathable air quality We have just moved the goal posts in what the government think we can be charged for doing. Get a diesel they said to reduce CO2 so many people did. Diesels are dirty they need a DPF they said, so many went along with that one too, despite poorer fuel consumption as a result. So we lower the CO2, then lower the Particulate matter Now they say Nox They will think of something else when we are all electric
  13. Me thinks you are talking at cross purposes. The BRS system is in a Hybrid car so the car is controlled by the 48v battery when the engine turns off. the car is not "coasting" in the traditional sense Coasting (turning the engine off and engaging neutral) in a standard ICE car is illegal
  14. This is an electric car puzzle. The e-4orce 4x4 xtrail: Nissan claims you should see fuel economy of around 44mpg with CO2 levels from 143g/km. The petrol engine exists purely as a generator and is not connected to the wheels in any way. It converts petrol into electricity, which is sent either to a small battery or directly to the electric motor, depending on how urgently it’s needed. My 2.0 litre diesel has CO2 level of 136g/km and can return 60mpg

  16. I have read an article about air quality somewhere, but cannot find it now. The article claimed that as more town traffic has gone electric the air quality has got worse, because the newer combustion engines where actually cleaning the air of fumes being put out by HGVs and Buses in front of them in queues. So as the cars combustion engines numbers reduced there where less to clean it up. i.e the air going in the engine was cleaner when it came out of the exhaust of a euro 6 car than when it went in if behind the hgv Think it was about Glasgow's air quality.
  17. I am more concerned about committing to a euro 6 diesel now then finding out they move the goalposts on diesels in ulez zones when euro 7 comes into effect in July 2025? https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/tips-advice/106870/what-are-euro-7-emissions-standards The EU ban on the sale of ICE (new cars only) is 2035 it was only Boris (i think) who said we would do it by 2030
  18. A car is built in around 24 to 36 hours from what i can find something to watch whilst you wait https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGkenbIRTI0
  19. With lead times being that long, i would expect the car will actually be slightly different in spec than what was ordered when it arrives.
  20. Interesting, but how would "mapping" effect the gearbox warranty? 184ft/lbs = 250nm approx The gearbox is not designed for torque above 250nm from what i understand.
  21. If it has the DQ200 gearbox are the revs being limited to prevent the engine output going beyond 250nm?
  22. Buying any vehicle with a DSG automatic gearbox you need to check that the gearbox has had it's oil and filter changed at the relevant mileages /timescales.
