Lost Tailgate Led lights animation when unlocking the car 😕
I put all the details in lightning adaptations in Leuchte23SL HLC10, Leuchte24SL HRA65 and Leuchte27NSL RC6. First unlocking the car successfull😊 animation worked as it should. Closing the same. Then when I unlocked the car again went back to static. Locking still OK-animation works OK. I'm not sure if there is other module than Lightning Adaptations where animation of tailgate lights is controlled.. I will try, thanks Cairus. This backup has a lot of useful information 👌🙏 Obviously changes made with ignition on, engine off, bonet opened. After coding scanned for errors and cleared few archived ones, reset lights in car menu-factory reset-lights, infotainment reset and car left for 20 minutes with key away from it...

Rear light fade-on issue
Interesting. .I have to look into this , thanks Cairus! I will probably check if the plug at the back of the lights is not loose or pins corroded first. That would be the best and easier option...🤞

Lane assist coding with Car Scanner for Superb FL 2019
Yes and I did several times with long coding from other cars with same camera and trim. It did not work. Looks like the older models, pre Facelift are quite easy to code but after 2019 some models are blocked from coding lane assist with other tools than Obd11 , vscd...I will give it a go, thank you, but I'm not too optimistic. Many thanks for support!

Lane assist coding with Car Scanner for Superb FL 2019
Yes, you absolutely right. Lane assist can be easily coded using Obd11 or vscd. The problem I had was limitation of Car Scanner which codded actual function but it would not enable it. That's why I'm waiting until get my hands on Obd11 or vscd. 2Q0 camera is the newest available for MK3 so Traffic Signs are possible to code with same tools, they will appear but there will be error "not available" because its locked by SWaP/FEC software certificates. It was easier with models up to 2019 but after Facelift, VW/Skoda are actively blocking access. You would need someone with ODIS-E or VCP to put dataset in and there you go 😎. You right, we shifted slightly from the subject but it's a beauty of this forum to learn about 10 other things that the one you asked for 🤣

Rear light fade-on issue
I had a look and on Ebay you can get inner ones in range £50-£100 depending if new or used. But same here, until its not constant problem I will leave it. I might get time to strip the panel and inspect the connector and pins. Will update if I get somewhere with it. Its just now, when it's darker it will be bother me even more 😳

Lost Tailgate Led lights animation when unlocking the car 😕
I tried Audi style dimming tailgate lights when indicators are on. I reverted changes but animation was lost and I can't get it back. At the moment I turned it completely off so it doesn't annoy me 😂. Odb 11 will be a fix once I get it. Apart from that Car Scanner is quite good tool for some adaptations but deeper coding like lane assist or matrix headlights its a no-no for it.

Lost Tailgate Led lights animation when unlocking the car 😕
Hi All! Recently after some of coding sessions with Car Scanner on my Superb mk3 2020 2.0 TSI SEL I lost animation / swipe away on my tailgate lights when car is unlocked. When I lock it, it swipes away correctly, indicators are dynamic when used (hazard on, locking/unlocking or indicating)... First things first - I reverted changes in coding history but it changed nothing. I then started to adjust settings in Lightning adaptations. Sometimes it was causing animation to disappear completely, lights were constantly on or it would cause flickering so I gave up. My last set is in the screenshot. I also changed dimming value to 100 in case car will not accept 127. It did not work. Anyone had similar issue and got it sorted using Car Scanner? I am trying to get someone with obd11 or vscd to help me as I know its so much easier to get it right with text adaptations. Many thanks!

Full Matrix Led headlights on motorway
This headliths calibration can be done using Obd11 or vscd as I posted earlier. That's what I've been told and lad seems to know what he is doing, he's been coding successfully VAG cars for years. Would be helpful if someone more experienced from our forum confirm that it has been done and worked too. Cheers

Full Matrix Led headlights on motorway
Yes, but what ODIS did also is initiated Headlight basic setting routine and run Acknowledge headlights basic routine. This forces physical matrix shutters to clear their stored calibrations and accept new settings. Without this your headlights will still operates as you've changed nothing.

Full Matrix Led headlights on motorway
It's a pain in... Main issue is that it should work as designed but it doesn't. Tbh now, when it's "fixed" I still don't really use headlights in Auto on motorway. There is to many cars and lights are going crazy. It works much more efficient on smaller roads where I can see them going on and off and nicely cutting out oncoming traffic. But it would be expected from Skoda to fix it, unfortunately its not going to happen...

Rear light fade-on issue
Hi. Same issue here. Sometimes the one in the boot lid is off at all and sometimes just goes off instead of fading away. That is left one in my case. Right one just fail to go on sometimes. Tapping with the hand solves it for a long time but it is aventually comes back to this problem. It could be wire damaged in the top rubber boot or corroded pin or loose connector at the back of actual lights caused by vibration or slamming boot. Mine is electric but apparently even slow closing could cause this. It's known issue with mk3. I just have to find time to look at this, strip the inner tailgate panel and inspect the problem. Have you managed to solve your lights by any chance? Cheers

Interesting...perhaps it's the difference between using ODIS and OBD11? Is ODIS changing something else?

Full Matrix Led headlights on motorway
I found out that on Obd11 you have to go to 4B module, switch to raw binary view(click bytes icon). Then find byte 11 and deselect bit 0. Important to reset headlights after - go to main module 4B main screen and select Basic Settings, run Headlights Basic Settings routine and then run Acknowledge Headlight Basic routine -that should do the job. Let me know if that worked for you. I don't have obd 11 and using Car Scanner, that's why I had to get some help. Hope it will go well!

Full Matrix Led headlights on motorway
You are correct, car can potentially blind incoming traffic in auto mode because of the central barrier and how late will recognize incoming cars. So this is not perfect solution but I believe the best we've got at the moment. And that is why I mentioned that I personally don't use auto mode on motorway unless it's quiet and not so many cars. I don't think Skoda would offer repair to millions of cars( European drivers have same problems) for free even if they would recognize problem on my appointment. Most likely they would do exactly the same thing that this guy did to help me sort it out. But I agree, that is potentially solution causing blinding drivers if used on busy motorway. As per GPS slowing car in 30mph zones as an example, I can't comment as my car hasn't got sign recognition so I never relied on it.

Full Matrix Led headlights on motorway
I will try to find out. I don't know him, he is a friend of someone I know and the topic came out during a chat, then my friend took me to see him. He did say its difficult to find if not using ODIS. I'll let you know once I will get in touch with him. Its pretty much disabling GPS to communicate with A5 camera. Then camera is relying on what it physically sees.

Full Matrix Led headlights on motorway
UPDATE - CASE SOLVED. Hi everyone, I'd like to update you guys on the case. I just came back from my Europe trip. While being in Poland I got in touch with a guy who was familiar with this issues and already cracked the case. Using ODIS he turned "predictive route data" off in 4B module and after reseting few things(I'm not familiar with ODIS) headlights on motorway are acting exactly as on A or B road... I'm still not going to use full beam on busy motorway but when driving on motorway with low traffic it's actually working well. I cancelled my appointment with Skoda because obviously my modification in system would cause them to charge me for diagnostic and knowing they approach it was not certain that I would get anywhere with this case. So there is a solution but ODIS is the best option, apparently its possible with VCDS but its more complicated. Apart from couple of people, no one really responded to my post which is a bit disappointing, but I just wanted you to know that there is a solution! Many thanks 👍

It would really help if I can get few more owner to provide their car details. I want to see whuch trims and years are affected. Heading to a Europe soon, hopefully I can see how Matrix is behaving at night while driving on wrong 😂 side of the road. Appointment and courtesy car booked, I will update once the diagnostic is done. The aim is to get it hopefully sorted and get TPI issued. Once I have my complain and TPI details from Executive Office I can share it so you guys can claim repair too😎

UPDATE: Direct Technical Validation & Expanding the Global Dataset (16K Views!) First of all, a massive thank you to the community. Crossing 16,000 views on this thread highlights just how many premium Facelift owners are silently tracking this safety issue. 1. Cross-Border Engineering Confirmation (The Polish Connection) Over the weekend, I expanded our technical research into the European Škoda networks (specifically superbclub.pl). The data coming back from Left-Hand Drive (LHD) European drivers is an absolute engineering revelation.Multiple owners of late-model Facelift Superbs (including flagship 2023 280HP SportLine models) have confirmed the exact parallel matrix dropout behavior on empty Continental expressways. When accelerating to expressway speeds in AUTO mode, their lighting processors aggressively shut down the left and center sectors of the road for no logical reason. The Technical Core: This cross-border data perfectly validates our underlying architectural theory. It proves that the "Highway Mode" satellite navigation mapping logic embedded across the global MQB platform codebase is fundamentally flawed. In Europe, this aggressive left-side masking is a severe design oversight that limits vision; but when mirrored onto UK Right-Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles without reversing the geometric coordinates, it creates a critical safety hazard—completely blacking out our actual UK driving lanes and slip roads while over-extending the right beam over the central barrier into oncoming traffic. 2. Current Case Status with Škoda UK Executive Office My formal technical addendum, backed by our crowdsourced community data and definitive motorway video telemetry, is currently under active review by Customer Relations Management at head office.Following a premature attempt to close the file at their desk, I have firmly rejected the closure. The case file remains fully active as "Pending Retailer Assessment" ahead of my specialized, factory-authorized diagnostic slot at Faintree Shrewsbury on Monday, 24 August 2026. I have also placed a formal demand for a fully covered courtesy car to resolve the family transport logistics caused by this extended factory logging session. 3. Continuous Data Gathering (Keep the DMs Coming!) Ahead of the August inspection, I am continuing to compile our anonymized global tracking list. If your car suffers from this high-speed motorway matrix collapse, please drop a comment below or send me a private message with just your: Vehicle Make & Model Model Year Country Variant (UK/RHD or Europe/LHD) Note: For absolute cyber security and data privacy, please DO NOT send your VIN or registration number. We only require the model specification to map the software trend. Thank you again for the incredible momentum. I will update the thread soon!

5F Control Module incorrectly coded after coding Lane assistance in
Is it very recent scan? Sometimes you will have some faults with new coding but it will be gone over the time. I had fault for few days when coded indicators to be dynamic all the time. Over the time it cleared itself. Most importantly everything is working well. Good job 😎👌

Gearbox Emergency Mode
I have same issue on my Dq381 gearbox. Intermittent "gearbox in emergency mode" message, limp mode only 2,4,6 and R available and couple of times got stuck in 2 gear.. Once on German Autobahn🤦. Repaired by Skoda - replaced one of the clutch control modules, service of the dsg gearbox done. Cost me £1200 but they gave me 2 years warranty for "whatever happens" with the gearbox. Every dealership is different and some trying to rob us. Be persistent, expect answers with details and don't let them ignore you.... Good luck!

Battery
Are you changing to exact same baterry? If new one has the same parameters all you have to do is just put new serial number....You can use obd11, Car Scanner or other obd readers to code new baterry..

Full Matrix Led headlights on motorway
Thanks to everyone who has been reading and sharing the thread over the weekend—the view count has just cleared 15.7k! As a quick reminder, I am actively compiling a centralized registry of affected vehicles to pass to the Volkswagen Group technical risk teams. If you drive a 2019+ Facelift model with Matrix LEDs (Superb, Passat, Octavia, Golf, etc.) and have noticed your headlights masking the near-side curb or acting delayed on the motorway, please drop a quick reply below or send me a DM with just your: Vehicle Make & Model Model Year Country Variant (UK/RHD or Europe/LHD) No VINs or personal details needed—let's keep you anonymous and build a solid case list to show the engineers!
