  1. based on some quick gooling JIL VIA is a Japanese Certification scheme meaning they're approved for sale in Japan 13x8.5JJ is the size of the rim (I think the j says theyre for beaded tyres FW308 is a wheel bearing size so likely relates to the size of the hole There don't seem to be any manufacturer markings although I cant make out the red circled text
  2. we not only use gas but we have a log burner. feel free to ostracize me ;o)
  3. "On 31 March 2003, almost all of the remaining Invacars owned by the government were recalled and scrapped because of safety concerns" Hubnuts example must have missed the recall ;o)

  5. That would be the same link I provided ;o) It was a semi rhetorical question I mean if these can be used unlicensed and unisured why cant e scooters? #justcurious
  6. Here's a question. How many Class 3 Mobility Scooters have reg plates on them? https://aspire2.co.uk/collections/class-3-mobility-scooters Why do we never see this with Reg Plates on even though they are supposed to be registered with DVLA? Also why is insurance cover not compulsory? https://www.gov.uk/mobility-scooters-and-powered-wheelchairs-rules/vehicle-tax-registration-and-insurance
  7. Here in the Greater Manchester area single journeys are capped at £2 for adults or £1 for children and a day ticket for the entire network is £5 We do use the bus occasionally although I will admit not frequently and I certainly don't use public transport if I need to go into the office near Media City (unless there's some sort of after work activity involving alcohol) even then its between 1h30m & 1h50m with 3 -5 changes and a mixture of bus & tram as opposed to 40-50 minutes if I drive in. EDIT: one of our main uses of the bus is if we want to go into Manchester city center shopping https://tfgm.com/tickets-and-passes/bus-tickets
  8. The final part of this article sums up the artificiality of it all when it comes to targets regarding Zero Emission vehicles The IEA still projects a sales rise in 2024, which would keep us more or less on track for net zero. Optimists hope more people will buy EVs when cut-price second-hand vehicles come onto the market in Europe and America. But that clear road is not guaranteed. It may be that EV prices in the West do prove sticky, while China keeps churning out super-cheap vehicles. If that happens, expect that tension between the desire of Western governments to decarbonise transport and their desire to protect domestic manufacturing champions to grow even more acute. At some stage they might be forced to choose. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-69022771
  9. For reference the official TG power lap times are below https://topgear.fandom.com/wiki/Suzuki_Liana_Power_Lap_times
  10. Is that separate from Amazon Flex then?? https://flex.amazon.co.uk/requirements
  11. +1 on staying away from shiny metal valve caps
  12. someone somewhere would still complain if all cars were legislated to be like this
  13. and it's exactly for this reason that the Government are targeting "Zero Emissions at the Tailpipe" rather than "Zero Emissions per vehicle built"
  14. I wasn’t talking about the Merkins.
  15. Surely if the government was serious about its zero emissions at the tail pipe policy then cheap Chinese imported EVs are a good thing to help get those horrible nasty patrol and diesel powered things of the road………..
  16. Hopefully the pikeys will find ev chargers a more lucrative target. nothing worse than a network outage caused by them ripping “cables” out only to find they’re fibre not copper
  17. I’ve just realised something. does this mean Openreach are looking to flog all their old copper to EV charger manufacturers as they switch to fibre?
  18. Love how the battery pack slides out so it can be charged in the house https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0PcPJbZLXM

  24. Look to the skies ;o) But in case you missed it there has been some unusually strong solar activity over the weekend. Not saying you may/may not have other issues but given the timing........................................
  25. Will ask him tomorrow (they weren’t able to drop off this afternoon but that doesn’t bother me) as I can’t remember whether they were swapping the entire throttle body out or if there’s a sensor pack on there that can be swapped out.
