  1. so update on the car they replaced the throttle pedal (end) but fault still present There's throttle body on order should be here monday
  2. Bought my MY18 Superb Estate from Sam & Andy at AudiSaab back at the end of February. Really love their no nonsense, no pressure approach to selling cars. Phoned up too see it and on arrival (at a rather nice country house) and after a few pleasantries was handed the keys, a trade plate and a plipper to open the electronic gates and basically told to fill my boots. Fast forward to this week when after several thousand miles ( immediately after buying I was on holiday in Scotland) the car has thrown up an EPC error (car is currently on about 127k). Gave them a call and was asked to drop her off and they would get their guys to sort it (currently still with them). Didn't actually seem them however Andy messaged me with a PIN for the gate and said there was a blue Audi A3 on the drive with the keys in the doorcard, just leave mine in its place (directly behind a nice Ferrari as it happened) with the keys also in the door card. https://www.audisaab.co.uk/
  3. loan car/courtesy car , same horse different jockey lol Oh its alright but the diesel is noisy compared to my petrol (although it does have plenty of grunt), I find the ride is too firm, seats are too low and also the boot is tiny. Also lacks Carplay, got an antiquated sat nav but apart from that its "fine"
  4. may as well chuck a picture of the A3 in. 2013 2.0TDi , 189282 miles , from my old hometown. There's nothing wrong with her per se , I just don't like it lol
  5. well the only update from yesterday is that the workshop is still investigating. Meanwhile found this odd pocket in the back of the A3 (which I still dont like)

  8. Just come back from dropping it off at the dealers over in The Wirral I bought her from end of Feb. They're going to sort it tomorrow. In the meantime I have an Audi A3, don't like it lol

  12. Does the "P" in "PHEV" stand for "Pointless" ;o)
  13. right click on image | search image with google ;o) Looks & feels more like a fleet monitoring system than an insurance blackbox
  14. Its odd they left the factory with the A & C Pillars and rear blacked out to give the illusion of a floating roof but left the B pillars body coloured which then destroys the illusion.
  15. curious. It has RFID which is shortrange so must have had a fob or a phone app ah here we go https://www.transportengineer.org.uk/transport-engineer-news/masternaut-releases-telematics-hub-for-improved-connectivity/62552 Its a GPS tracker Edit , that looks to be just one part of it, you may have some other bits hidden away https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266376374775

  20. I use one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CD1GP7TV?th=1 Does what it says on the lid
  21. when you find it take a piccy cos they do seem to be lacking ;o)
  22. it's a pity smoking isn't so fashionable these days. Used to have a collection of tins like this that would be suitable
  23. I'ld be surprised if it wasnt in the same place (or very close).
  24. in reality how big is the "risk"? Yes we all know that there are various relay techniques available but equally there are techniques to get you in without need ing remote access to the key fob. I would say personally that for the majority of people with an average car then the biggest risk is a scrote with a brick or broken spark plug cap. Faraday pouch ain't going to help there (and yes I am of the opinion a lot of these things are marketing hype preying on irrational fears)
