  1. The mileage estimate is always going to be an approximation. It starts off based on your previous journeys, but then gets updated as you drive based on current conditions. It is useful to look at the miles per kWh figure and how that compares to the longer term average. Different traffic conditions or air temperatures can all impact it. On the way to Cornwall last week, I only managed 3 miles per kWh on the first 2/3 of the journey, probably because it was only 2 or 3 degrees outside, compared to the return journey where I got 3.9 miles per kWh on the same stretch with warmer temperatures and slower traffic. It would be useful to see the SoC on the battery in kWh rather than percentage because you could do the range calculations as you sit in the M5/M6 junction traffic jam!
  2. I added the screenshot to show where the Charging History is linked from on my version of the app. I do get the full charging history and the details of the session if I click on one of the sessions in the history. I have have just been offered 8.12.0 so I will shortly find out whether it still works... Yes, I still get the charging history and details.
  3. I'm on version 8.11.0 on Android and I can see the full charging history. Not much help to you, however. I haven't been offered a newer version - it is showing a last updated date of 27 March 2026.
  4. ACC, electric seats, heated seats and steering wheel, blind spot assist, electric boot opening, matrix headlights, dimming rear view mirror, etc.
  5. Our 2021 Octavia PHEV estate has gone, replaced by a fully electric Skoda Enyak 85, which is quite a step up in terms of the spec. Usually I change cars when the old one has become unreliable and I am glad to see the back of it. This time I am sad to see the Octavia go, because it is still a fantastic car. Although there have been the occasional glitches with the Infotainment system (and these seem to have settled down with 1989) it has been reliable and a pleasure to drive, particularly in electic mode. If there was a fully electric Octavia, I would not hesitate to get one. The one problem with the Enyak is that it massive! It is also missing some of the little things that made the Octavia nice, like the sunglasses holder, the USB outlet on the rear view mirror, and the compartment on the door side of the steering wheel for keeping change for parking meters (and shopping trolleys). I still can't get my water bottle into the cup holders, and the position of these means that I can't use the big cupholder insert I had either. Perhaps I will be back with a Mk 5 Octavia (or equivalent) in the future!
  6. I know this has come up before, but I am struggling to find wipers to fit the arms on my 2024 Enyak 85. I have tried the ones listed on windscreenwipers (AP28U). However, the suggested adaptor (4) does not fit. The attached photo shows the clip on the current with the closest matching one from the wipers. Any suggestions? Not even the Skoda parts suppliers seem to have anything specific.
  7. I had the same issue with my maps not updating OTA when I first got our 2021 car. The car was also on version 1806 of the infotainment system. Because the car was still in warranty (just), I got the dealer to update the infotainment system and the maps to the latest at the time (1941 for infotainment) and both have been successfully updating OTA since.
  8. I got it from Skoda Parts Direct - Part number: 5E7061195A (Škoda Octavia Estate 2020-Present Rear Bumper Protector Silver)
  9. I got one of the Skoda stainless steel ones. It was expensive, but looks good!
  10. I got this a couple of weeks ago on a drive down to Cornwall. When I left a filling station after refulling (after 5 hours / 300 miles), and switched into hybrid mode, the dashboard lit up with a whole range of faults and the engine went into limp mode. I limped back round a roundabout to the forecourt again and turned the car off and on again. It was fine again afterwards. I don't know whether it was a one-off glitch, but it has not done it before or since (so far). Given the recent posts about batteries, I was wondering whether the original 12v battery on a 2021 vehicle is getting towards the end of its life?
  11. Do you have a dash cam? Mine makes a similar noise when I turn the car off.
  12. The last 2 mornings I have been woken up at around 4am by phone making the notification ping every second. There are no notifications on the screen and no way to stop it. The phone is on Do Not Disturb in the night, so it should not be making any noise. The only way to stop it is to shutdown or restart the phone. I have been trying to work out what could be triggering a notification at that time. When I was out running this morning, I remembered that the car often finishes charging at about that time, and sure enough, when I checked the power consumption, charging stopped at the same time that the notification sound starts on my phone. I usually get a notification to say that charging has completed, which I have not had the last couple of days. I also recall that MySkoda updated in the last couple of days. Anyone else getting mysterious notifications? I am going to report a bug to the MySkoda developers.
  13. I have seen messages about the same issue across multiple car makes (not just Audi/VW, etc) so it does appear to be an Android Auto issue. One person on a Reddit thread suggested that turning off Power Save on the phone made the problem go away. Do you have power save / battery save mode activiated? I haven't seen the message despite being on the affected version of AA and I don't use battery saver mode. The issue is not on the list of fixed or "being worked on" issues in Android Auto - https://support.google.com/androidauto/thread/97890637/android-auto-known-issues-updated-9-16-2025?hl=en-GB&sjid=11038993646045078532-EU
  14. I think this is an Android Auto setting, rather than the Infotainment system, and I think the default may have changed, because I have found mine sometimes starts playing music by default. In Settings on your phone, search for "Auto" and you should find a Android Auto section. There you will find an option to automatically start playing media. See if that works!
  15. Mine was stuck on 20.6 when I got the car last year. I tried the manual updates with various sticks in for days at a time, but I could not get it to update, although I had also paid for the update service. In the end, I got the dealer to update the maps under warranty just before it ran out, and since then it has kept itself up to date with OTA updates.
  16. It looks like the actual map data is provided by HERE. Skoda appear to have an mechanism to correct map errors via the Map Creator - see the following page from the Skoda website. https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/
  17. We have basic cruise control (not ACC) and you can swap between that and the speed limiter - instructions from the digital manual.
  18. I had the same problem - I think the original maps had never been updated and it refused to update from an SD Card or OTA despite having the relevant subscription. In the end I got and infotainment system and maps updated by the dealer just before the warranty ran out and it seems to have been updating OTA regularly since then.
  19. To double the range of the battery you would need to double its capacity in kw/hrs and that would require a much larger battery which would not fit into the current space. You would need a battery with double the energy density, which if it was available at all, would probably be very expensive. The 50km range is a bt frustrating and I would like double the range too. Apparently Skoda are planning to have longer range hybrids in the next generation cars.
  20. I got mine from SkodaPartsDirect and the part numbers were 5E3075111 for the front and 5E3075101 for the rear. Although they are easy to fit, you might need a right angle adaptor on the drill and probably a short drill bit to avoid removing the wheel because you need to drill the arch and space is restricted with the wheel in place. You can pick up cheap adaptors easily from your favourite online store:
  21. It is the heating/aircon which comes on when it is unlocked to get the cabin temperature to the whatever it is set to. It is normal, as far as I know. Ours has become particularly noisy recently, and I did ask the dealer to have a look at it when it was being serviced recently, but they didn't.
  22. I was thinking that I had been lucky only having a couple of trips last year with endless infotainment reboots and oddities and nothing since the dealer updated it to 1941. However, the infotainment unit in the car (2021 PHEV) has just started turning itself on when the car is locked. The car alarm went off earlier, numerous warning messages on the dash, and I found that the 12v battery was down to 5v. I am currently charging the 12V battery again and I will try and get a video of the infotainment unit turning itself on before the car goes to the dealer for an oil service next week. The warranty on the car has run out now, so I will have fun arguing with the dealer if the infotainment unit needs replacing. If it is known fault in the infotainment unit then I would hope that Skoda would cover at least some of the cost, but I suspect that they won't agree! I thought that the 12V battery was supposed to charge when the car was plugged in, but since the HV battery was at 85% and it travel planner only charges to 80% during the week it appears not to have done so. It is a bit of a flaw if it will allow the 12V battery to go flat even if there is plenty of juice in the HV one or it is plugged in.
  23. I have set a departure plan for 12 noon each day which has a maximum charge level of 80%. I don't apply this plan on Saturdays, because I go shopping and have a separate plan which charges to 100% and sets a target temperature for my usual departure time.
  24. The most important bit is making sure that how tracks are ordered into folders works with the infotainment system. I am pretty sure I just used the default settings when I set up my SD Card, but I might have been using a tweaked ordering - mine is \Music\<Album Artist>\<Album>\<Track #:2> $Left(<Artist>,20) - <Title> You can change all of this in Media Monkey to suit your preferences. An old car I had would not play album tracks in the right order so I had to add the track number at the start of each track title to get it to sort correctly. Media Monkey is very good for that kind of thing.
  25. Yes, I needed to turn the knob all the way round to the mirror heater symbol. There is no other indication that it is working, but the mist clears.
