  1. Yes thanks, all the reason why i posted the thread in the first place someone knows how to do this and i have money to pay if they can fix it Btw the steering wheel was most likely turned when i screen shot this diag
  2. Cheers pal, The steering angle is set not sure if it can be calibrated better using the in car procedure I can set the steering centre to 0.0 using autel however how could i delete the Steering angle and start over Disconnect battery? Also looking at the picture the steering assist is set to Automatic again i feel the steering end stops were a definite stop at the rack before, now its feels like the stop is at the tie rod possibly stresses the tie rods to pre-mature failure No idea if this has been done intentionally or not, How can changing tie rods effect the electronics? Or does the rack detect / lose steering pressure thus resets to default idk Most people probably wouldn’t notice any difference if they hadn’t drove the car before however i have lol
  3. Ive Pm’d a few on the List however no replies I don’t mind driving further afield if there’s a someone who can code me Steering Assist / end stops TIA
  4. when i first picked the car up the toe was out and the steering wheel wasn’t central After getting the Alignment done as per above picture , I believe the mechanic then could re calibrated the steering using the battery off, only took him a few minutes to sort, however I wasn’t in the car maybe a loose sensor was the culprit idk lol not 100% sure what he did However now it drives alot better, still feel maybe the end stop require coding and definitely the steering assist requires changing to lighter its on YouTube the process looks simple enough just need to figure out the correct security access code If i knew changing the Inner ties would create such problems I wouldn’t have bothered there was nothing wrong with them apart from surface rust Thanks everyone I believe this case can be w””rapid’t up
  5. Going to try this when i have spare time friday that said the mech didn’t initiate a re-learn to the steering angle as his autel diag couldn’t connect without a code? It’s drivable just a bit tiresome I’m guessing if the steering rack is moved to install inner ties while the engine is off it could effect the existing values, idk I found this regarding toe/caster/camber values
  6. Off-side ball joint if you squint really close the arrow points in the correct direction
  7. Yes new ball joints I’m looking for someone local to Sheffield to get it on VCDS to re-learn the steering angle and Assist
  8. haha i understand the significance anyway to re-learn the steering angle without software?
  9. Yes the steering is heavier both driving & standstill The parts seem to be fitted correctly the inner tie rod boots where tight to install not sure that could effect anything Maybe it requires re-learning in VCDS
  10. The mechanic who completed the work stated the inner tie boots where difficult to install Surely the rubber boot cannot cause this? its now like there’s no hard stop on full lock, just feels Rubbery/ elasticity
  11. Shouldn't make such a drastic difference put it this way I wouldn’t purchase a skoda again tbh
  12. Bought new however the ten year old looked new apart from surface rust on hex
  13. i’ll take another look but taking an acrobatic approach last night for a photo seemed they have arrows indicating they are correctly installed Going to have to remove a wheel to investigate further
  14. Surely this alignment should be all green regarding caster & camber even tho its not adjustable? Does anyone have a recent printout to compare?
  15. also fitted new lemfoder ball joints tyres exactly same whether there was enough correct pre-load i’m not sure as the mechanic used a post lifter the camber is out on the hunter alignment i’ve just found a different better alignment garage to visit for another tracking that will adjust the pinch bolts if required Other than that i’ll have to check the VCDS kinder putting me off purchasing New premium tyres if this is the Quality of replacement Parts on offer in 2025 the lemforder kit from Autodoc Also seems they use the cheaper black tie rods than the silver in this package funnily enough they also sent 1 cheaper skf rod assembly that i had to source another matching from ebay
  16. Hi recently had new parts fitted 1.6 tdi diesel new Lower arms incl bushes (febi) New Tie rods & ends (lemforder) new Drop links (lemforder) new arbs (febi) Before it drove show room perfect weighted steering it was just the rattles over bumps/pot holes now the steering is super heavy had it hunter aligned still super heavy steering Any ideas?
  17. anyone have an approx cost for these seem expensive on ebay
  18. it was a few years back however i was quite surprised how frugal it was 100% it wasn’t less than 3/4 of a tank when i parked up can't remember exactly it was a work van and fuel card so definitely filled it to near spillage haha
  19. thanks, definitely something wrong on mine after 8km its barely low 40’s mpg (open country road) unless its downhill or I immediately reset the counter I’m also pretty sure the cruise control seems more frugal than using the pedal I once drove a 1.3cdti corsa from Southampton to leeds at night 60mph and the fuel gauge had used 1/4 from a brimmed tank thanks against for the info
  20. I removed the traction Buttons on the lower dash under the climate control and believe i broke it haha it throws the dash light (glow plug) on sometimes & shows a fault code on the autel maxiAP 200 occasionally ive ordered a used part to replace
  21. Do you have the same skoda rapid 66kW 1.6tdi? I’m not new to driving diesel vans however for such a small car this seems alcoholic
  22. On cold start the car average mpg starts at ~17mpg and then slowly rises to around 46mpg after approx 30mins of driving 40-50mph is this normal? from previous experience the fuel gauge seems to decrease faster than usual?
  23. Fixed, it was behind / underneath the glovebox also Climate control has two hidden screws underneath if you need to replace
