Reset Trip Recorder
Thanks CFB. On the Driver Data page I have resets for "From Start". "Long Term" and "Trip Recorder". all with their own reset button. I tried your suggestion but it does not affect the From Start milage.

Reset Trip Recorder
Thanks Budgie, I have Trip History in my Skoda app. Will try a few things to see if it connects.

Reset Trip Recorder
If I select Vehicle-Vehicle-Interior-Driving Data I get this screen with the option to Reset Trip Recorder. When I select that option it goes bleep suggesting it is connected. But nowhere in my displays can I find a Trip Recorder. I have milage from start, milage from refuelling and long term milage. Any one know where I can find the Trip Recorder I have reset?

Heated rear seats
To CFB and DaddyDave. This caught me out when I first had the car. You can control from the front screen and the padlock symbol isolates the rear controls, presumably to stop the rear seat kids fiddling. Touch the padlock and you will have full and independent control front and rear. Enjoy.

Software failure not so Superb
Those 5 ADAS issues you list I also had when my cruise control failed. The dealer replaced the cruise control stalk and updated the software in June this year and all problems fixed. In addition I have the map view in front of driver which had been promised since I bought the car, December 2024, and an extra icon on the main screen to view the energy flow. Hope tou get as lucky as I have been.

Has anyone experienced any malfunctions with their 2025 Skoda Superb?
Apart from my ACC failing which seems to be a common problem with the late 2024 models I have nothing but praise for mine. Safety features such as overspeed warning and emergency braking are annoying but they are a legal requirement. Physical buttons and switches are better than on screen menus and they are put in logical positions for driver use

Running on regen only
Just back from 1000 miles travelled in France. Unable to get any public chargers working there on my Debit or Credit cards, maybe sign up for a French card for next trip. However overall fuel economy running on regenerative electric and petrol gave me 56mpg. Happy with that but would have preferred the 107 I usually get with regular charging. Annoying that the LONG TERM figures on the display reset after a set period and not after as long as period as I would like. Have checked the handbook and it confirms this auto reset. Good fuel economy down to long smooth french roads, always use A roads rather than Péage to enjoy the journey. In latter part of the trip my Cruise Control and EBA stopped working. Booked in for next week. Hope it is a reset rather than major unit needing replacement.

Octo, earlier this year you posted on replacing th blanking plug in th eMk4 1.5 engine with th dipstick from the Mk3 engine. I have spoken to my dealer who said he can order it on the part number. Do you have the part number for it

Software failure not so Superb
Further to my post on 14/06 while I was in France this last week my Cruise control and EBA stopped working. Have been to dealers and they say there is a factory recall for this. Booked in for next week. Can anyone remember th post about using a Mk3 Superb dipstick in the Mk4 which it is not supplied with. Just a blanking plug on the Mk4 1.5 petrol engine.

Hi Cedron, what’s the issue with the cruise control you’re talking about? I use mine a lot particularly in France. Never any problem with it. John

I have the mk4 L&k PHEV and am very pleased with it. The software issues seem mainly to be in European cousins. I switched after years with Citroën and the VAG systems are superior. Currently in France and not able to get their chargers to accept my credit or debit cards. But still getting 52 mpg running on petrol and the regenerative charging.

Virtual dipstick
Thank you.

Virtual dipstick
It was in a Facebook group called Škoda eMobility Explorers. I have checked back through th listings but cannot find it now.

Virtual dipstick
I was not happy with Skoda omitting the physical oil dipstick and making the oil check only through a touch screen menu. But now I learn that the 1.5 petrol engine in the Mk 4 is the same as the 1.5 in the Mk3 Superb which had an engine dipstick. On the Mk4 there is a plug in the cylinder head that can be removed and a Mk3 dipstick inserted in its place. Thanks to my friend in Romania who explained this on YouTube.

Software update required
No, still waiting. Collected mk4 L&K estate mid December when it was promised as an update. All good except that. Loading the boot and accidentally my foot strayed under the car. Rear hatch closed and I discovered the auto-stop-on-obstacle works. Obstacle being me.

Time setting
Noticed that the time in my Superb MY25 was correct digits but am instead of pm. Went to Vehicle-Settings-DateTime and corrected it. Had to set Auto to Manuel in order to do so. Clicked back to Auto and the pm changed to am. Repeated my action in case of User error, but no, on Auto Time it set the clock 12 hours out. Anybody else got this?

Has anyone purchased a 2025 Skoda Superb and experienced a malfunction?
I collected my Superb L&K estate hybrid in December 2024. No problems with it very pleased with the car. Just be aware of the violent Pedestrian Detection. It is like hitting a brick wall.

Software failure not so Superb
I collected my Superb PHEV estate late December 2024 and had a couple of charging issues with it in the early days which turned out to be operator error. Now I understand the charging to 80% setting all is fine. Nothing but pleasure from this car. Much better than the Citroen PHEV I had previously. Charging to 80% I get 50 miles range so I am sure the Skoda claim of 62 miles is right with 100% charging. Some say restricting the charge to 80% only applies to full EV cars not hybrids. Skoda battery management is great with the petrol engine kicking in to assist the battery when needed. I have 2500 miles on the clock at an average of 101mpg. The Emergency Brake Assist is too violent as others have noted on this forum. If it thinks there is danger of hitting something the brakes come on WALLOP and the seat belt tightens. Had it happen when car detected a speed bump, too much safety. Love the car and I hope you go with it.
