  1. I fitted mine as you describe for exactly that reason. It also means you don't get crud sitting in the tube section
  2. and what are you doing with Stews nuts??????:rofl:
  3. I had a few things missing when mine arrived even though all the small parts where in a factory sealed bag Whitelines quality control must be pretty slack. Fair play to Balance though they sorted it pretty much immediately
  4. I can be found at Ian Grist - London | Facebook
  5. Strut brace needs to be drilled and you can either use M8 or M10 bolts. I used M8 as you don't need to be so accurate with the drilling. You need to insert bolts from underneath and use washers and bolts above. Self tappers from above will probably rip out within a short space of time. Cant help with the S3 mirrors. Don't think there will be any gains with an S3 MAF tbh. I'm not even sure it will fit on the tip.
  6. Cheers Mark, If I could have the part numbers for the following then please. R32 arb bush bracket + bolt subframe bolts Will order some superpro arb bushes for it.
  7. Sounds very good So can I use the original bush clips with new bushes if I do this or do I need differant ones?
  8. Best stock up then How can anyone prove you have released r134a into the atmosphere:rofl: gotta love the authorities
  9. The part number is 1U0853665A or 1U0853665A GRU if you want to buy it primed. Personally I think ebay would be cheaper. The chrome inner piece alone is about £50
  10. Only the Vrs has a 19mm bar so yours will be 21mm.
  11. :iagree: Revo ran a scan first before attempting to map mine.
  12. The few times I have had limp mode I never got an engine light on. My intermittent limp mode was caused by a failing maf. Could be your problem too maybe.
  13. The relay is the hazard warning light unit and operates indicators and hazard lights. It can be pulled apart and cleaned but I tried this and it didn't fix it for long. New unit is about £28 from Skoda. Part number is in the DIY part number sticky.
  14. I like it Look forward to seeing it with the wheels on.
  15. Excellant work with some great pictures Will have to give us some feedback on the arb please as it's something I am considering.
  16. The newer Skoda S revision bushes that run directly on the bar are 17mm
  17. So will I be, rapidly coming up to second MOT with them on
  18. Ive had Superpro poly's on for at least 18 months now and can report no problems.
  19. I regassed mine with the same stuff as BJM on Monday. Easy job and now cool as it should be. BTW I got mine from Ebay for £20
  20. It would appear it hit some kind of electrical storm and broke up in the air  Not nice. Edit: flew into a CB - electrically charged cumulonimbus clouds that come with violent winds and lightning. Aviation sources in France said automated messages sent by the plane's systems had allowed them to reconstruct events which appeared to show the Airbus broke up in mid-air as it flew through a hugely violent storm carrying 228 people from Rio to Paris.
  21. Have a read of this thread http://briskoda.net/octavia-i/something-fell-off-today-what-pic/93867/ Might be worth looking on on the plastic under tray as the op in this thread was lucky enough to find his there
