  1. I don't wish to dampen your enthusiasm but over bright rear lights are a contravention of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 in the UK. I'm not sure of the legal position in India - perhaps you should check this ?
  2. I take it your car is pre 2024. From that date onwards the Sportline model had 20" wheels as standard.
  3. Can I assume that your car is either an iV or PHEV ?
  4. That's a long way from Airdrie. I used to work in Sheriff Court there.
  5. Let's not get carried away over this one case. Yes it perhaps does set a precedent for AEB faults but this case (BabyDog's) is settled - there is nothing for a Scottish Court to review. Given that Briskoda has a wide following I've not seen a flood of complaints remotely similar to the case in point.
  6. Hi DaveSuperb. Assuming you have the DSG twin wet clutch gearbox, there a documented way to 're-learn' it on YouTube which is a bit convoluted but seems to work. Apparently it resets the gearbox to factory specification and removes your 'learned' settings.
  7. I really wonder why BabyDog chose the car in the first place. Did he/she not take it for an extended test drive ?
  8. Many thanks for your helpful post. I'll have a look where you suggest but I doubt whether I'll change anything. I like is just as it is and I suspect that it's on the factory setting. OK Buaan, I've had look where you suggested and mine shows engage/turn on drivers heat heating according to ambient temperature. Both seat and steering wheel temps are set to level 3. Given that I didn't know about this setting until your post, and obviously haven't adjusted anything, I'm assuming that mine is indeed the factory setting.
  9. I agree with Evolution in some respects. I do a fair bit of city driving, always in Eco mode and coast where I can. I have the 2 litre diesel and my average over the last 6 months is 39 mpg. There's something seriously amiss with Tom-Kodiaq's car. It's curious that he doesn't mention getting the car back to the dealership for investigation.
  10. I don't really mean to nit pick but your initial response of 31/3/26 was to lay the blame on a "Central European Manufacturer" being unable to engineer a solution for a problem which must occur everywhere in Europe, every single year. In effect engineer a solution for regularly varying climatic conditions. Perhaps you were simply attempting irony ?
  11. What temperatures are you talking about ? A light application of lithium grease would solve these freeze-ups completely. FYI lithium grease is effective to -18C.
  12. I'm intrigued by your post. I was in that part of the infotainment screen yesterday and didn't see what you mention. I'm based in the UK. Is what you're seeing perhaps a regional variation in specification ?
  13. Just label me optimistically naive !!
  14. Ha ha. While Glasgow manages to escape the worst of the winter weather, minus figures centigrade are not exactly unknown. Clearly somebody at Skoda is taking these regional variations seriously !!
  15. Park's is the main Skoda dealership in Hamilton.
  16. They're nowhere near Hamilton. And what makes you think Arnold Clark have any sort of monopoly? If you want excellent customer service give Henrys Glasgow a call. They're based at 151 Kyle Street, Glasgow G4 0DS, 0141 552 9000. I've been with them since 2018 and am now enjoying my fifth Skoda Kodiaq.
  17. UK - Scotland specifically.
  18. There is nothing to reset. First start on a cold (10C or lower) morning both features are on. After a 4 mile drive to shops on restart both features were off without any input from me. Following morning in same ambient temperature the same result. Any 'reset' is obviously automatic and probably climate controlled. This was an experience I was not anticipating though I have to say it is very welcome. Just another thing I don't have to adjust/set before driving off !!! Clearly if the ambient temperature increases to the point where both features are no longer required eg on a longer drive, it is a simple matter of turning them off using the steering wheel switch for the steering wheel heating, and the right hand rotary dial on the centre console for the seat heating. My 2022 plate L&K did not have these features.
  19. Hi Aronisk. I didn't need to customise anything. Both features detailed in my original post came as standard.
  20. Refer your insurance company to the DVLA website. There is a well known mistake with 2023 models misreporting diesels as petrols.
  21. In inclement weather (less than 10C) the car automatically sets heated steering wheel and heated drivers seat to on. Anybody else noted this ?
  22. Forget Arnold Clark. Go to Henrys Glasgow instead.
  23. Go for an old fashioned internal combustion engine. You wont regret it.
  24. Enjoy your new car - you deserve it. I compliment you on your final choice. The sportline in eco mode allows you to save diesel by coasting. Long term use of eco can result in average mpg figures in the low 50s. In sport mode using the flappy paddles it's an absolute beast. Good luck.
