  1. In my Kodiaq Sportline if I set Auto Hold to on it remains that way until I stop driving and turn the engine off. On restarting Auto Hold is off. IMHO that is the way it was designed to work. I suggest you get the car to the supplying dealership and get it checked.
  2. In the UK ACC is not a mandatory safety device.
  3. I'm not criticising, it is your choice of course, but why rely on ACC? You are in control of the car and, by law, you alone are responsible for the manner in which it is driven. That said, why do you abdicate that control to an electronic system which may or may not be infallible ?
  4. This is exactly why I never use ACC. Some users have also posted that AEB is also too sensitive and has caused some rear end collisions. My 2.0 litre diesel Kodiaq Sportline has occasionally flashed up the advance collision warning sign on the dash but thankfully has never applied emergency braking. I may just be lucky in this regard !
  5. Hardly the point though !!
  6. I've been reading these comments on PHEV and pure electric models and it seems to me that Skoda perhaps rushed these to market without fully testing the currency of the software and its performance. These sorts of problems are absent in ICE cars.
  7. I have the Kodiaq Sportline and it has the mandated (under EU regulations) speed limiter. This is enabled every time the car is started. Should you exceed the permitted speed limit on any piece of road, the limiter will emit an audible alarm but there is no automatic reduction of speed to the specified limit. It is frankly an irritation as is the lane keeping feature. I regularly turn both off before I move the car. My car also has ACC but I never use it. I don't think is has any effect on the speed limiter.
  8. More reliable? It isn't just the interior trim that's compromised. Engine, electronics, gearbox, suspension are all built to a price. Good luck if you choose one !!
  9. Take it back to the dealer for a warranty replacement.
  10. Have a seat in any model of Dacia and you'll quickly realise why they are so cheap. They are designed to a minimalist specification and it won't take you long to walk away.
  11. My 2025 Kodiaq 2.0 litre Diesel Sportline is not even 1 year old. A couple of weeks ago I got a message on the dash advising a drop in pressure on the nearside rear tyre. i pulled into a service station to re-inflate the tyre, and as luck wouldn't have it, I saw immediately a machine screw or nail protruding from the tyre tread. This was at the beginning of the holiday season and I decided not to go far. I checked over the next few days and surprisingly when I checked the pressures it told me all were within specified range. Clearly the screw/nail was providing a seal against further pressure loss. Then my dilemma. It's a heavy but powerful car. I tend to drive 'spiritedly' and regulary travel to France and Germany on holiday trips. Would I be completely comfortable at Autobahn speeds with a repaired rear tyre? Wiser counsel prevailed and I got in touch with Black Circles who offered the exact same brand and size of tyre to be fitted at a local garage near me. The job was completed this morning and I have nothing but praise for Black Circles and also the local tyre fitting place. Perfect service in this day and age !! I can't recommend them highly enough.
  12. I routinely turn lane assist off every time I start the car. The way in which the steering is jerked when you stray out of lane is quite disturbing.
  13. Opinions are like arseholes. Everybody has one.
  14. Read my post again. Did I say it is correct? You clearly have a beef about something you can't change. Even King Canute, in his pretend experiment to his courtiers, couldn't turn the waves back. If banging your head against a brick wall hurts you - just stop. Simples !!
  15. And you honestly think that Skoda are alone in this practice? It is now commonplace.
  16. I understand the most common reason is blocked drain channels. I don't have a pan roof but there must be some way of deflecting/discharging accumulated rain water.
  17. No. It is not a cheap trick by Skoda. The cost of raw materials, electricity, labour wages etc have all risen and Skoda is no more immune from these rising costs than any other manufacturer. Over the past 12 - 18 months Skoda have indeed been increasing retail sales prices but keeping these in line with sales figures and a genuine desire to offer good value. In the Mk2 Skoda Kodiaq DCC was a priced option in all of the base model specs. It wasn't taken away. Only in the Sportline model and above was DCC included and indeed those rising costs probably forced Skoda to drop the L&K version. It would probably have breached £60,000 with full spec choices.
  18. Absolutely correct. This has worked on every Kodiaq I've owned (5).
  19. I've had three 2.0 litre diesel Kodiaqs all with DCC, 20, 22 and 25 plate. My current car is the sportline model. I have never experienced the reported issue in any of the cars.
  20. I refer to my original posting re heated mirrors. I'm pleased to report I've solved the issue. I normaly drive in Eco mode, so I tried to apply a bit of Czech logic. Eco is about saving, so why not battery saving. The mirror heaters don't work when in Eco mode - they do work perfectly in all other modes - Doh !!!
  21. The control in your image is quite different to mine and I don't think I can move my control past the heating symbol as in your image. In all 4 of my previous Kodiaqs the control lined up perfectly with the heating symbol. I'll give a go though. Thanks for your response.
  22. Thanks for your response. I have tried using both the mirror control and the heated rear screen function - neither gets the mirrors heated. I suspect there are fuses missing (apparently there are two, one for each side) or they are both blown (unlikely perhaps). It's not a major problem so I think I'll just leave it until first service in March 2026.
  23. Bought new on PCP, March 2025. Just noticed with the cold weather that the heated door mirror function is not working.
