iIve always got my alloys (Seat Exeo) powder coated, if youre anywhere near Birmingham ( B5 5RF) check out https://www.citywheelrefurbishment.co.uk/ (they are also on Insta & FB)it looks like their pricelist hasnt been updated but it cost me £190 to get 4x 18" alloys refirbed in a standard colour (silver) in Jan 2025 i used to drop them in and leave them there but there is a same day option

yep i realise that you would have checked before posting, but PartsinMotion only list the part number 3V9955425A for SUPERB III Estate (3V5) not Superb 4 and not knowing if your car is a Hatchback or Estate is why i suggested you checking by reg as youre in the UK id suggest giving GSF or even Mitchell Škoda and get them to check by your vin number, that way youll get the exact info

with a quick Google PartsinMotion list (to the right of the price) Bosch 3397016062 Rear Wiper Blade Compatible with SUPERB III Estate (3V5) 1.4 (2015) (125HP) OEM Number 3V9955425A goto their site and try your reg or model (Hatch or Estate) and see if you get more info

As i havent got anywhere to work on my car myself anymore, im looking for recommendations for general /specialist work on the car, like DSG service cam belt (and wet belt ) replacements Can anyone give me some names of Garages you have usedand happy with?? ( most of the threads here are for car sales and out of date) Preferably Coventry, or around the area Thanks

Yep I just bought GR66BOO 😜 I’m a big Terry Pratchett / Discworld fan, I’ve moved and unfortunately haven’t got anywhere to work on my car anymore ( brother-in-law moved too & now I don’t have access to the carport & pit) so for the bigger jobs will have to find a respected/ recommend mechanic around the Coventry area

£640 for cambelt?? That’s half what I’d be charged for my Exeo, does the prices include the labour too? I knew I’d be saving buying a Superb and gettin rid of the Exeo but I didn’t realise by how much.. Ordered the badges… and bought the number plate …. Just need to get the car now

just a couple of quick questions,, the 2 badges you painted, are they different sizes? the link you have says a choice of 8cm or 9cm, and i know prices are going to be different all over the country, and possibly also the model of box but how much did you DSG service set you back? (ballpark) Hoping to look at another car on Sat 🤪

dont forget different wheels can have different widths as well as the size of the rim so a 16" wheel may be 5.5" wide where as an 18" may be 8" wide , (going by my old passat yrs ago)

With my Seat Exeo it’s very temperamental with canbus errors so I’ve used Twenty20 CanPlus 2.0 LED Canbus Bulb PY21W Anti HyperFlash (Amber) for the indicators and the same brand for reversing lights, I can use the same bulbs in the rear indicators and reversing lights on the Superb, so it’s just the front indicators that I need to find decent upgrades I’ve got my bulbs from auto bulbs direct

i was just checking out the "bulb upgades" that people have done 🤪 are you thinking of doing the fog lights too??

just a thought, how about placing some masking tape over the gap to getthe size to fill and 3D printing a filler piece? if its in black is shoud blend in with the display, im sure there would be someone online who could 3D print it if you dont have a printer

i remember reading on one of the posts the other day about someone who had a simular problem, unfortunatly i cant find the post ( cant sleep so ive been trolling looking for answers) if i remember correctly the OP was in Austalia and was getting help from someone from Wales ( im usless with names) but he ordered a new usb unit 5Q0 035 726 but he ordered the wrong one, as the number is the unit and the letter at the end A/B/C/D/E etc is the shape of the connector that fits the wiring plug in the car.

As mentioned in another post, one of the cars thats on my short list is a 2016 (66) Superb 2L L&K as i havent been able to view the car yet, i can only go by the pics and info the dealer has posted According to the info the car has: Columbus Satellite Navigation 8in Colour Touchscreen Bolero Radio DAB Radio DVD & SD Card x2 AUX & USB TV Tuner SmartLink Integrated Wi-Fi Bluetooth Oh and it also has the ☠️ Canton Sound System ☠️ 😇 not sure what the problem is with it but it seems its hated 😇 this is the current unit fitted to the car this is what id like to upgade to (funds allowing) im guessing half the car would need to be replaced 🤪 from reading some posts the Display, Glovebox unit, USB, and the AMP but is any wiring needed to be adapted/ replaced now IF its possible to upgrade (but i cant afford to at the moment) would all the options thats on the current system work on the new system? or what would i loose/ gain? would fitting a reversing camera, it already has front & rear parking sensors (ive seen some posts on this site) to the current system be still usable when i can afford to upgrade to the new system?? and of course then theres the CP to be dealt with too Thanks in Advance

At first i was undecided wheter to buy a secondhand Octavia or Superb, then saw that theres much more Options availible on the Superbs, my question here is what are the things to check when going to look at the car?? Im looking at 2L Diesel (as ive read that the 1.6L DSG can have problems) one of the cars i hope to see at the weekend is a 2016 (66) 2L L&K DSG hatchback KESSY Xenon lights but as ive never owned a DSG i dont know how to check it ive read that it may be possible to request info on the car from TPS is that still possible ( from just the reg) ive got VCDS and (if the dealer allows) may be able to get a scan but if not what is best to check?? im not sure if the car requires adblue, if so is there any special things to check for where is the build sticker located on the car? in my previous Passats & my Exeo its in the boot/spare wheel area Thanks in advance

Im looking to replace my Exeo with either an Octavia or Superb, (looking at 2016 ish), ive noticed there seem to be a few Cat N & Cat S cars listed nowdays, and was wondering if its possible to find out exactly how much damage was done to a car, as ive heard not all sellers tell the whole truth and if a Cat S or N repaired car would cost more (or less) to insure compared to if it had no damage at all. and lastly if i were to buy a Cat S or N car and was involved in a RTC would the insurance pay out be alot less due to being a Cat S/N car or is there a thing like protected NC so youd get current market value of the car?? As yet I haven’t owned any Skodas, but I have owned loads of cars in the VW group Audis Passats and currently Seat Exeo, which has got to the point where it is uneconomical to keep on the road, So I’m currently looking at replacing it with an Octavia ….. well once I’ve scraped up some cash😖 I’m looking at diesel auto with heated seats , around about 2014-17 (cheaper tax and insurance) as it’s unlikely to have all bells and whistles ( due to me not having enough cash) I hope to find out info on how to ( if possible) retrofit reversing camera, heated steering wheel , and apple car play ( or upgrade stereo? I’m not sure what is fitted spec wise) Hopefully ( I have only just made the account so not looked yet) there’s a list of model specs and also info on what to look for when buying a car , as I don’t know what problems the Octavia has or how to check a DSG gearbox 🤔 I’m soo sorry for the lengthy message, but hope to speak to you soon
