  1. In this case, talk to that Bob person from Witson and ask about the Skoda version. I know for sure a guy over here is importing them.
  2. The first big one is still a Witson, and no, the buttons don't all work as the CAN is based on the China market Passat which doesn't resemble the Octi2. The 2nd one I've no idea about.
  3. If there's a screen and they don't see the third asterisk showing up on it they'll know for sure what was the bogus one. I guess covering the keypad like they instruct on the atms cant go wrong. Use your wallet or something large, say a flier.
  4. The chinese bunch are not manufactured by Siemens, they are fabricated by a "company" called Witson somewhere in China.
  5. Cancel it quick before they use it to pay god knows what next.
  6. What about a mild abrasive? Surely it will dull the leather a bit but it's better than that red stain you have at the moment. Try something like that CIF cream for cleaning house appliances and work your way up if it doesn't do the trick. 2nd pic it also looks like you need some stitching work.
  7. You could consider also removing the rear seat bench and adding Dynamat under that, as it's close enough to the transmission and rear differential and there's not really too much of anything in there.
  8. You can order them with the heated jets here, but nobody bothered. I got the car outside in a proper blizzard at -22C plus the wind chill and with good quality fluid I didnt have any problems, although some of the other cars' doors froze shut and had to be thawed with a diesel powered hot air blower.
  9. What if it's a little green man from Mars? I'd call the news channel then.
  10. Ask your dealer what the parts are worth, then ask the other place if you can bring your own parts and what they'd charge you for the labor. Gets the best of both worlds. If it's only a small difference I'd be using Skoda for the nice stamp in the service history and the warranty.
  11. What?? Is it made by Gucci or something? ps: I can use annoying font sizes too!
  12. I know in other arab countries VAG cars are delivered with the buzzer enabled as soon as you cross the max speed limit for that country. A friend with an A4 in Dubai has this by default.
  13. Why not just put the dog guard behind the rear seats and let her have the entire boot? With a floor protector (the rubber/carpet version) it could work out fine.
  14. It's purposely designed that way for improved handling. Many fwd cars are.
  15. Try an A4 TDI with the multitronic transmission. Way smoother at crawl pace, and funny when the needles work independent to each other.
  16. What's the average cost for a new turbo over there? Round here (they're made 100 miles east of where I live) they're sometimes dirt cheap.
  17. I had this mid 30's pair of Jehovah's witnesses come by like clock work every sunday morning for about a month, each time I politely told them to buzz off, which they seemed not to be able to remember for a whole week. Then, when I got sick of that I just answered the door in my underwear, scratching the ole' jewels and looking at the female one top to bottom. The fella just grabbed her hand and they took off not to be seen ever since.
  18. Mmm, well a slidey switch like the Iphone has, then?
  19. In case anybody wonders, you can undo the lower dash cubby or the side cover where the fuses sit and push it from behind to help extract it.
  20. Honestly I never had one of those go out, but the brake and fog went out separately and got warned each time.
  21. How about moving the key to another pocket then?
  22. Enable comfort window opening via key in VagCom and it should work. It's in there somewhere.
