  1. There is a post on here about mine, it was a lease car that went back in April at 3 years old with 63k miles. Was on sale for 13k ish. Is it white?
  2. I moved from a 2015 Octavia SEL which did have the feature to a 2017 Superb SEL which didn't. I believe the Superb needs the adaptive lighting to have the feature.
  3. First time out in the dark last night and it DOES have adaptive front lights . Weird driving past a line of cars with the headlights on main beam wondering why no-one is flashing you.
  4. Plenty of information here https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/
  5. After seeing Shy..'s post be flamed I thought i would try here . First tank (yes first - it is nowhere near run in yet) of my 2020 2.0 150 came in at 64.7 mpg (Brim to brim over 874.8 miles). About half of it was a run over to Norfolk in September, the rest local runs of up to 30 miles. This makes it about as good as the three year old 60k (well run in) car that went back in April. I presume they have updated the engine.
  6. Kids got a paddling pool? Take it off and submerge it. 2-3 lbs in a couple of weeks is a very slow leak
  7. Haven't looked but you might just need to fit a bulb!
  8. Must learn to RTM Wondered why the "intermittent" wipers were always on fast when there wasn't much rain falling - the switch to change the wipe frequency works the other way round now!
  9. I wouldn't want to do this. I tend to drive with the speedo just over the posted limit. Why? Because when the car thinks it is doing 30mph it is actually doing 27-28 and you will get tailgated aggressively everywhere. With cruise on 33 i am doing about 30-31 so won't get a ticket and people behind me are less aggressive. When I used a tomtom I used to drive through 50mph average speed zones at 55 on the tomtom and 59 on the speedo and never got a ticket (for that). Getting older I don't use so much of the margin (10% plus 2) now.
  10. Looks like you have ACC, if you bought it from a dealer take it back and ask them to fix it.
  11. Bit like the Tesla driver who was killed when the car was running on auto-pilot and drove into something. It was his own fault. You have to remain aware of what is going on around you and take over if the car is doing something risky (i.e. ACC not slowing on approaching another vehicle, lane guidance taking you out of lane etc.) If you don't then don't blame the system - blame the person in the driving seat. What do they define ADAS as? Presume they mean autopilot and not cruise control, ESP, emergency braking, antil lock braking, stability control etc.
  12. If it has ACC then there will be (1) a switch under the cruise lever that switches between ACC and speed limiter (2) a switch on top of the cruise lever that lets you adjust distance (from stupidly long to what Clarkson called "the full Audi") - shows on the central display. Standard cruise you just set speed, ACC you set speed and distance. (3) when it is on as you approach a car from behind it should show on the central display that a vehicle has been detected just before it starts slowing. My last one was delivered April 17 and had ACC as standard (SEL Exec as it was then) but that was UK spec and not Ireland spec. It may be faulty or need resetting if the car has been bumped and repaired or the radar otherwise interfered with.
  13. While it may not be ideal at least having all the same type of tyre with differing wear means you are covered if you are involved in an accident. Two winter/all-season and two summer put you in a whole heap of pain when the police, or your insurer gets involved. If the car is a keeper get a set of steel wheels and winter tyres and replace the worn summer tyres. Over a couple of years it won't cost you any more as you only use one set at a time.
  14. My replacement car was delivered Monday and has now done all of 70 miles. At a high level it is essentially the same as the car it replaced - a 2.0 tdi 150 Manual hatch SEL but this one has hill start assist that I didn't spec on the last one. I is even the same colour. Differences: As expected Amundsen instead of Columbus, slightly smaller screen but has wifi which I think is new on Amundsen(I never used it on the Columbus) but doesn't have the HDD (which I never used). It doesn't have a CD drive which the last one did (I never used it). It does have two USB ports so I can plug the ipod in and one of the i-phones. Need some time to play to find my way around apple play. It has the side assist warning - not expected It has KESSY which I would rather not have although it does allow me to close the boot from the fob. It doesn't appear to have the adaptive lights which were on the spec list in January but are not even mentioned in the brochure now. It has leather instead of alcantara - from my point of view a step down. It has rear vehicle assist to detect approaching cars when reversing It has front and rear parking sensors - the last one was rear only. It also gives an overhead picture on the infotainment screen. Fancy LED lights and chrome trim on the boot but I don't see them from the driving seat. I don't like the wide white/pale grey rim to the dials, it makes it harder to read the numbers but I will get used to where the common speeds are on the dial. It has adblue and is saying Range is 12,500 so at that rate it will need filling once a year! There is only one umbrella - as expected. Drives just the same as you would expect but needs running in which in current circumstances will take me a year! Will add to this if I find any more differences
  15. I would be nervous about buying a car from another country, difficult to deal with warranty issues when the dealer is that far away.
  16. It is here, just need a reason to go for a drive. Am expected in the office tomorrow , first time since 13th March. Almost six months working from home. I was expecting adaptive front lighting but it isn't mentioned in the manual and I don't think it has the whiskers. Will look when it is dark. RF holders for the keys arrived Friday It is on Continentals so it might be quieter than the last one.
  17. Progress. Car is due for delivery this afternoon, 4 1/2 months late but I'm not complaining. My employer is opening offices from today but they don't want us in unless we need to be - the last six months has shown that we don't need to be.
  18. On a quiet road get the car well into the speed range which the vibration occurs, put it into neutral, turn the engine off, and coast. If the vibration stops it is engine/drivetrain related. If the frequency of the vibration changes when you change gear it is drive train related. I'm tending towards a slightly warped disc if one wheel is getting very hot. Sadly it looks as if the dealer just wants you to go away and doesn't want to fix it. Can you get a view from another Skoda dealer who won't be thinking about how much the fix will cost him?
  19. Is dynamic routing set and did it think there were traffic jams. I tend to ignore it up to the last few miles from destination after it took me on a 50km diversion because it thought Brussels would be busy.
  20. As others have said, get down on your hands and knees and look where the rear drive shafts would be. Not something we can do for you πŸ˜€
  21. The Superb was my third Skoda. First was a 2008 Octavia that covered 96 k miles in four years and apart from me bending it a couple of times the only non-wear related item I recall was the bonnet release handle coming loose (not fitted properly) and the second(2015) was faultless if you don’t count rodents eating pipes over 2 years. A fourth due next month nth
  22. We have several owners of JLR products in the office, Land and Range Rovers. They know their dealers well and are constantly discussing what the latest issue is. I just don't understand why they go back for more. The last car was my third Skoda and not up to their usual standards - had both Aux coolant pumps changed under warranty. Replacement should arrive in September.
  23. I have seen the request for PIN several times but just cancelled it (switch to media or radio and back to phone and it went away). I have a personal 6s currently running 13.6 and a work provided 8 running 13.5.1 (due an upgrade)
  24. Corrected, so the 280s get the space saver, the rest can have the smaller steel wheel with a real tyre. Note the speed rating. Took a while to find a table that goes down to M but max rated speed 81 mph and classification used for temporary spares.
  25. IIRC the spare isn't available as an option on the 2080 because it has bigger discs so the 16" wheel won't go on. You may get away with a 17" or 18" steel wheel (that will go over the discs, with a narrow tyre that will fit the well without raising the boot floor if (1) you are happy to treat it as a space saver when fitted, and (2) you have somewhere to put the full size wheel if you ever use the space saver. We had 2 Audi A2s which had expanding spares, the first came with a large Audi branded white plastic bag to put the full size wheel into as it would not fit in the boot.
