  1. I love Christmas jumpers! I bought two this year and I've been wearing them to work :-)
  2. Let's see... - Finish the book I've been writing for the past few years - nope, I wrote a completely different one - Be self-employed by the end of year - nope but I'm plotting - Go to more motorsport events - fail - Learn how to wallpaper - I've decided to paint my walls instead - Start taking photos again - I've had a year off and I've almost forgotten how to use my camera - camera came out of hiding so that's a tick! - Visit Briskoda more often; I've been absent for a while so it'd be nice to catch up (even though I've stopped spending money on my car now ) - I've been lurking, I'm probably selling the car next year so more lurking to follow I made a bit of progress. Not much, but a bit.

    October Meet

Did it not used to alternate between Edinburgh and Glasgow/Killie? Surely something something like that would be fairer? I'm not saying I can make it this month but I will get to a meet before next March!
  5. My heating's been on over the weekend. Very early for me but I have a cold, that's my excuse.
  6. My local fish n chip shop (which is amazing) sells them and I've been meanihg to try one for ages. I am going to take the plunge very soon.
  7. Good choice of replacement - from what I've heard they're great fun. Enjoy it
  8. I can't make it this month; I'll be on holiday

    July Meet

Nope it's a yellow one - says KAY on the numberplate. I'm in town most weekends, I've been looking out for a green Fabia but not seen you yet

    July Meet

It's funny you should say that, my OH is in Linlithgow and he's never been either On the other hand I've been about 5 times, I love it there! Have a good meet, I'll make the next one ... maybe ....
  12. I've driven 2 autos. The first was a Nissan Navara. I actually found it quite worrying, especially when I was driving offroad and wanted to keep a slow pace going downhill and it kept changing up a gear, meaning I had to try and slow with the brakes, which got interesting on muddy ground. Why you would have an automatic 4x4 I will never know. On roads it always sounded like it was in the wrong gear and I'm sure I drove everywhere cringing. The other was a 911 Carrera S (PDK). That made a lot more sense, plus as it's semi-automatic you can drive it manually if you want.
  13. niceyellow vrs - I can't quote your post for some reason but I was going to answer with No, you weren't. I just watched it this morning. I thought the opening sequence with the industrial revolution was brilliant, but after that it just went a bit odd. I thought the house party bit was just noisy and chaotic and I lost interest. In general I thought the choice of music was awful. I'm glad I didn't stay in and watch it. The lighting of the torches was pretty awesome though. Definitely the best bit. I am glad I am in the minority here though, it seems to have gone down well which is good.
  14. :DIn mine it says 'Save the planet - wash at 30 ... Care instructions: do not wash
  15. Looks like a good event! An interesting range of cars too - the Moggy looks brilliant!

    July Meet

    Not this month :(
  17. Yes. When my first car was sold (1.1 Metro) I wasn't there to see it go (I was working up north and my dad sorted it all out for me) I actually walked round in a sulk for a good few hours before finding a posh hotel and buying myself a 3-course meal with wine to cheer myself up. 8 years on I still miss him :( I even got upset when I swapped my 2nd car, even though she caused me alot of misery. The Fabia's the best car I've owned, I'll be changing it within the next year and I've a feeling I'll be a bit tearful when she goes. I'm trying to talk myself out of getting a Z4 next ...
  18. Glad you're happy with your new town! I used to live just down the road from you (Northallerton) and use to go up to Darlo regularly. It's a nice little town
  19. England did much better than I thought they would. I quite enjoyed watching that, not for the football but more for the fact that while I watched it my OH (who is Scottish and wasn't interested) cooked my tea, washed the dishes, made my packed lunch for work and cleaned the kitchen while I sat and watched it
  20. Looks like I missed another good meet!
  21. Like I said in the other thread I'm still a maybe ... my OH has the weekend off work so will have to check what he wants to do.
