  1. Skoda Fabia Mk2. I much perfer the Mk1. To me, it seems that the (uk spec at least) seems a bit woeful
  2. I believe the washers are mandatory because the any dirt on the lens will distort the beam pattern and possibly dazzle oncoming drivers. On another note, here in Barbados, there is one fabia here with xenons. It's a 2004 or 2005 1.4 fsi fabia "vrs" it came from the factory kicking out 130 hp. The reason it's a petrol and not a diesel is because we get crap diesel here, it's generator grade, so skoda, suzuki and vw among others dont offer diesel vehicles, but those that do, get quite a bit of trouble with them (apart from a few pick ups and commercial vehicles) and the service interval is something like 7500 kms
  3. I agree, however that might be based on the angle/quality of the pic. It may look fabialous in the flesh

  7. Would it be possible to simply change the ccu+ get remote fobs in order to activate remote central locking?
  8. the Barbados spec doesnt have it, nor does it have remote central locking, however it does have rear electric windows. I would like to retrofit these when i get the car so i'd like a bit of help
  9. Yes it does, front and rear electric windows, but no electric mirrors or ASR
  10. A car costing 5000GBP would cost about 16000 (depending on engine size) to get to barbados

  12. Hi, i will be buying a fabia 1.4 16v (100) comfort spec soon. Currently only 3 of them on the island have electric mirrors. It's hard enough to find a manual 100hp model. What would i need to retrofit electric mirrors on the car? I know i will need mirrors and the leccy mirror switch. What else would i need> Convenience unit, looms? Cheers Peter
  13. Good night, i have not too long been informed that there is finally a Mk2 fabia in Barbados:D:D:D, quite possibly the only one here. With any luck, there may be a new briskodian from Barbados if the owner's not one already. That brings the number to 2 post-2005 skodas in Barbados. Would anyone else like to come down here? (In 2005 the lone skoda dealer decided to stop bringing them in). Regards, Peter
  14. Good morning I have a problem with the boot locking mech on the octy estate. The locking mechanism has broken from the section where the end of the locking barrel connects the lock. I am getting another locking barrel from another octavia and i would like to know how to switch the locking barrel from the non-working mech to the working mech Thanks Peter
  15. is this the kerb weight of the octy or octy plus driver? it sounds like a daft question but my 1.6 is lister as 1250kg
