I agree re the handling, my previous car was a Fabia Vrs which was excellent around the country roads where I live. The Yeti is not quiet the same but still has far better handling than I expected.

I've just got back Scarlet back from the bodyshop. The paintwork is fine but one of the foils has a grubby fingerprint on the adhesive so a new foil is being ordered to be re fitted!! My_Yeti I got Scarlet from MSB and they arranged the repairs with no problems, Skoda have no accepted that there is a problem so I don't think it will matter too much if there are only a couple of chips.

I'm 50 and retired last year having done my 30 years in the Police, and I think my Yeti is great (although it does lack some boot space)

Scarlet came into the Port of Tyne on the City of Sunderland. I was checking the shipping for weeks waiting for her to come in !

Scarlet booked into bodyshop for next Monday to do the stone chippings and foils, they want her for 3 or 4 days to do the work so will have a free courtesy car next week.

Just had phone from MSB (Dealer), Skoda have approved repairs under warranty so now awaiting phone call from bodyshop to get Scarlet booked in

I've just tried that as suggested by Lady P-my horn was loud enough to wake my wife up-not a good way to start the morning

My dealer asked me to email some photos of the chipped wheel arches to save me going to the garage (40+ miles away). The dealer principle phoned me this evening saying that Skoda are aware of the problem and are doing resprays and fitting foils as a warranty issue. The photos will be sent to Skoda then he will contact me to fix a appointment at the bodyshop.

I've spoken with my dealer who has confirmed that they are aware of this problem and it is dealt with as a warranty issue. Now all I have to do is book Scarlet in to be 'touched up'!

Will that include any other chipped areas as well ? I polished Scarlet yesterday and noticed chips on the bonnet as well as the rear wheel arches..

I still haven't seen any other Yetis out in the wild up here. Scarlet seems to attract lots of admiring looks whenever she's parked up, and I've had 3 people asking me about her. I'm sure that she sometimes blushes, because there's an extra shine on her wings when she's being admired

Hi Retro gal Try going into Audio on the maxi dot and enable the aux setting. That worked for me with my mp3 player.

I use Admiral multi car policy-its costing me £165 for fully comp, protected no claims and nil voluntary excess. This means that my Yeti is cheaper to insure than my previous Fabia VRS, and is only £15 more to insure than my wifes VW Polo 1.2, I took the 7 days free cover from Skoda, and was quoted £265 if I stayed with them, or £215 if I took their £50 cashback. I tried all the insurance comparison sites like Confused, Swift, etc and none of them could get near the Admirial figure.

Collected our Yeti (Scarlet) on Thursday as arranged with MSB Skoda. We had a coffee and chat with the manager and salesman whilst they put mats and boot mat in the car as part of a deal they were doing, then ran through the hand over procedure. The garage has kept us up to date with Scarlets progress since we ordered her in February, letting us know the build week, then confirming that she was built and signed off and at the docks at Emden waiting to sail to the Tyne. I couldn't fault the service that we have had from MSB and would recommend that you give them a try in you live in the North East PS No I'm not on commission from them
